  • National Exit Test (NExT) is a combined single-window exam for MBBS students to qualify for admission into postgraduate courses as well as to obtain the license to practice medicine in India. The exam is to be held in two steps to check theoretical and practical knowledge of candidates. Once implemented, NExT will replace multiple exams including NEET PG and FMGE.

Really good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Nearly 90% of students get placed. In the final year, internships come with a government stipend of Rs. 42,000, and during post-graduation, in-house staffships offer a stipend of Rs. 60,000. Almost every student in the batch gets an internship. So, overall, the placement is good.
Infrastructure: Our classrooms are large enough for 200 students and have free Wi-Fi access. Labs and laboratories are well-equipped. The hostel rooms are very clean. The food in the hostel canteen is hygienic and available 24 hours a day. The medical facilities are good. The playground is large enough to play all sports.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable, they deliver good quality lectures. An adequate number of teachers are present for all subjects. This course is necessary for becoming a doctor. The semester exams are of moderate difficulty, and the passing mark is 50%.
Other: I opt for this course because I want to become a doctor. The best thing about this course is that I get the opportunity to treat patients. Our college organizes cultural events and fests every year.

It has good infrastructure but lacks adequate faculty members.
Placements: There are 100 seats for every batch. As per the MBBS curriculum, every student gets internships after the final year. After qualifying in the NEET exam, students get admission here. Almost all students get placed in various branches of medical services. The majority of students do house-staffship after completion of the course. Others sit in the NEET PG exam and pursue an MD degree.
Infrastructure: The library has full network connectivity with good air conditioning, a vast reading area, adequate books, magazines, etc. There is a laboratory and demo room for every department. It has 5 digital lecture theatres and is air-conditioned. There is an auditorium for cultural events. It has a playground and separate boys' and girls hostels. There are lifts in the academic building and each hostel. The canteen is available in both the girl's and boys' hostel and also in the academic building. Teacher quarter, president doctor quarter, and nurse quarter are available inside the campus. It has a superspeciality hospital and oxygen plant established within campus. Infrastructure is very good but proper maintenance is needed. All types of sports are played here.
Faculty: Some department lacks adequate faculty members. The difficulty level of semester exams varies. 1st year and 3rd year are easier than 2nd and final years. The pass percentage is 50%. The course curriculum is relevant. The available teachers are experienced and very helpful. They are all qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality varies from teacher to teacher.
Other: MBBS is not only about studies, so I chose it. Fest and cultural events are celebrated every year in our college. This year we are bringing Nakash Aziz to our college fest Caduceus 2025. The campus crowd is not so much. The campus is located near a village. It is almost 4 kilometers away from the township. College doesn't provide any scholarships but students get scholarships from government various schemes. The nearest railway station and bus stand are approximately 5-6 kilometers away from the campus.

Review of Deben Mahata Government Medical College and Hospital.
Placements: 80% of students are placed. The minimum package is 2 lacs and the maximum is 5 lacs per annum. Top recruiters are private hospitals like Apollo, Health World, IQ city, etc. 100% of students got internships. Doctors, OT technologies, MRI technician, ECG technician, OPT technologies, nurses and other hospital personnel are the roles offered.
Infrastructure: Our college campus is very good and large. And has good environment, too. A canteen facility is available; a library, a gym, sufficient playgrounds are also available. The class infrastructure is good. Large LED boards are available, and projectors are also available in our college classrooms.
Faculty: Our college faculty teachers are most helpful and they are also well-known doctors and professors. They teach a good and knowledge-able education. They are also supportive. I think every medico will come to our college for a great education. College semester exams are moderate.

Our college is the best to take admission.
Placements: Placements are good. Most of the doctors got jobs in both private and government hospitals. Doctor role is offered. Paramedical courses are available in our college.
Infrastructure: Lab, library, lecture theatre, good water facilities, electricity, sports, indoor games. Caretaker is cooperative. There are no unnecessary restrictions imposed. Students have their clubs like sports clubs, chess, cricket, and volleyball.
Faculty: Faculty was the best. Curriculum is too large but good. Around 50% is the pass percentage. There is no problem with exams. Semester examinations are the revision. Faculty members are experienced, helpful, and kind.
Other: My dream is to serve people with a good reputation. Events and fests are good. Scholarships are provided only to Bengalis.
