Good infrastructure with highly qualified professors and a well-conditioned hostel.
Placements: Almost all students become doctors if they pass the final year exam. The annual package depends on the individual. The interns earn Rs. 43,000 and house staff earn Rs. 60,000. They can open their own clinic. More than 95 percent of students get an internship in our own hospital. Intern Doctor, House Staff Doctor, Medical Officer, and Professor are roles offered.
Infrastructure: Modern lab for disease diagnosis, Research facilities, well-furnished classrooms and library with centralised AC are available. There are three hostels junior, senior, and intern hostels. Different hostels are there for girls and boys. Every room has 2 tubelights, 1 fan, an almirah, a table, a chair, and beds. All types of food are available in the canteen for all regions' students. Our own hospital is available. Mainly cricket, football, volleyball, and badminton are played in the hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and highly qualified. All professors are doctors. The course curriculum is relevant. It makes students ready to treat patients. Semester exams are moderately difficult. To pass the professional exam you have to get 50 percent marks, and almost 95 percent of student passed the exam.
Other: I chose MBBS because of the respect. It gives you enough money and much respect. The work pressure of interns should be improved. All cultural events like Saraswati Puja, Convocation, Fresher Party, and Farewell occur. Fest Kaizma is conducted. The campus crowd is well about 800+ students, with good connectivity. The campus is surrounded by ground and a fence. Scholarships are given to all needy students, extracurricular activities like sports events like cricket, football, volleyball, badminton, etc., are played in college, and cultural programmes happen.

Good campus with a peaceful hostel environment and surrounded by nature.
Placements: There is a good opportunity for house staff. After the internship, the college takes 60–70 students from a 125-student batch based on their academic performance throughout MBBS. It is actually good compared to other Government colleges in West Bengal. House staff get almost Rs. 61,000, and after the current DA announced by the West Bengal government, they get around Rs. 70,000. MBBS students have to do a compulsory internship with a Rs. 42,000 salary per month. The internship is on a rotational basis. Everyone gets the opportunity to work in all departments of the hospital.
Infrastructure: There are separate hostels for boys and girls, including accommodation for junior, senior, intern, and house staff, along with a DNB building. Juniors get shared rooms for two students. Seniors and interns get single rooms, while interns have shared attached washrooms. Each hostel has its own canteen. There are common rooms with indoor games and outdoor grounds available. In the hostel, students can install their own Wi-Fi connection from outside providers. Lecture theatres are well-maintained and air-conditioned.
Faculty: All teachers and HODs are helpful. They also support students in ICMR research if anyone is interested. Semester exams are tough as they are internal assessments, but the main exam is the professional exam at the end of the year. The passing criteria are 50 percent, with the 40–60 rule applicable. It means 40 percent in theory and 60 percent in practical exams are required to pass.
Other: The internship duty hours are hectic and can be improved. Although they teach about the real medical system in India. There are fests, freshers, farewells, convocation, Banibandana (Saraswati Puja), and scholarships for students with more than 60 percent marks (subject to conditions such as family income below 2 lakh per annum). It also hosts week-long cricket, football, and badminton tournaments. Many other sports activities throughout the year.

Review of The West Bengal University of Health Sciences.
Placements: After 4.5 years of MBBS course, one can directly get entry into the internship, which is paid. The total tenure of the internship is 1 year. One can get near about 30k/month for 1 year in the internship. There are a lot of opportunities, mainly learning opportunities.
Infrastructure: Faculty members are well qualified. There's a lot of scope to learn. Clinical subjects are taught very well in the hospital. Besides, one can get a free medical check-up being their student. So it is considered an easy-to-commute college as it is situated on the outskirts of Kolkata. Our hostel facilities are the best among all the old colleges of our state. Two students share a single room. The rooms are also very well-lit. Each has one window. When we were allotted the hostels, we got one almirah, one study table and chair, one mattress, and one bed.
Faculty: We have 125 students in our batch. Classes are nice. Our teachers are helpful, they try to reach out to almost every single student. Especially our Anatomy Department is the best. Our Biochemistry and Physiology Department is also nice. All of the faculty members are well qualified. The faculty to student ratio is 20:1.
Other: What I like the most about our college is the social life evolving around it. As our seniors are very friendly, we almost participate in every single program, function, workshop, and everything. Our cultural fest and academic fest are Kaizma and Mediverse, respectively. Kaizma brings so many experiences to all the students of JNM.

COMJNMH Where Dreams Come True
Placements: The internship must be done at the college where the course is completed. The stipend ranges from 28k-32k or more, but one has to work day and night to earn that, sometimes up to 24 hours or more at a stretch. However, this is a great way to learn practically and helps in cracking difficult PG entrance exams.
Infrastructure: College life is full of fun activities, and you will never get bored; something or the other keeps happening. We have an annual fest called KAIZMA held in September, which is 5-6 days of enjoyment and much more. The college has a huge library divided into two sections: one on the ground floor (open 24/7) and the other on the first floor. Almost all kinds of books are available. Our classrooms are well-equipped with large projectors, whiteboards, ACs, etc. We also have football and cricket tournaments and many extracurricular activities occurring frequently on the campus grounds. Many clubs are available, such as dance, music, cultural magazines, drama, photography, painting, etc. The hostel provides a single almirah and a bed sufficient for one person. Mess food is quite okay but may not have a large menu. The registration process is simple—just fill out the forms and verify them with identification documents. The cost is only Rs. 100 per month, which is affordable. If anyone wants to rent a room or PG, it's easily available in the area around our college, such as in A1 block, A2 block, B block, etc. Hostel Fee: INR 1200 per year.
Faculty: The only reason for choosing this course is that it helps me serve people who need medical aid. The faculty members here are a blessing. They not only teach the subjects but also help us build the proper mindset ethically needed to treat patients with care and empathy. Each faculty member is highly qualified and inspires the students greatly. Our college is very particular about examinations. There are monthly exams that help us prepare for the final MB exams with ease. It is quite difficult to pass, as our passing percentage is 50% and above, but the course is so interesting that it helps one pass the exams.
Other: I chose MBBS for impactful work helping others, global career opportunities, lifelong learning and personal fulfillment, and financial rewards. To improve the MBBS curriculum, suggestions include increasing clinical exposure, updating content, adding interdisciplinary courses, enhancing soft skills, expanding research, offering electives, and strengthening mental health support. This college provides a great social experience, with students from different states and regions coming here to study, which allows us to interact with diverse people and understand them. There are many cultural programs celebrated, with the biggest event being the annual fest named KAIZMA, which attracts many celebrities and people to enjoy and interact. Our auditorium is very large with excellent facilities, enhancing the joy during cultural and annual fests.

If one wants to pursue MBBS from a good college outside Kolkata, this is a good choice.
Placements: After pursuing MBBS degree from here, you can start your career as an intern doctor and within that one year of internship you will gain excellent experience in medicine, surgery etc. After completing internship, you will be appointed as a house staff for one year. Salary of interns and house staff are 28k and 45k respectively.
Infrastructure: The college has excellent hostel facilities. There are single and double sharing rooms available. There are wardens for both boys and girls hostels and they are very watchful people. In case someone faces any problem, they can directly inform MS sir. The seniors are very caring.
Faculty: The faculty members are excellent in every department including orthopaedics, gynaecology, medicine, ENT, and dermatology. The students get last ten years question modules within one month of their admission for each semester. The seniors help a lot to overcome any study related problem.
Other: There are a bunch of cultural events, both in the hostel as well as in the auditorium.

The college where dreams come true.
Placements: Placements as such do not happen in our course. After completion of our internship in our college, we can practice as MBBS graduates (45k per month or more based on government or private firm) or do postgraduate after giving NEET PG or Next 60k per month depending upon the branch and year. Almost all the students get jobs just after getting MBBS degree.
Infrastructure: We have huge classroom and large laboratories equipped with the latest instruments, specimens, chemicals, machineries, etc. The library is divided in two floors, one on the first floor and the other on the ground floor. The classrooms and the library is fully air-conditioned with Wi-Fi facility. Hostel facilities are good, like water filter and cooler present on every floor, water supply 24*7, electricity 24*7, big playground, comfortable rooms with furniture, etc. Food in canteen is not great but good. Football, cricket, badminton, etc. Tournaments are held often. Medical facilities are always present.
Faculty: The faculty is very well qualified and always tries their level best to help the students whenever they need help. This course curriculum is very relevant. It makes students learn everything from the basics to the advanced stuff and also master the practical skills needed to save a patient. Semesters are pretty moderate in terms of difficulty. The passing criteria is 50%. Theory 50% and practical 50% in order to pass.
Other: I have always dreamed of becoming a doctor in order to save people in need and help the poor. The best thing about our course is that it teaches us the importance of human life, to be grateful, and empathize. A college fest called "Kaizma" is held every year around September for 4-5 days straight. Scholarship programs are available for academically excellent students or economically weak students (SVMCM). Many extracurricular activities also occurs like seminars, workshops, etc.

There is a huge auditorium where you can organise festivals, cultural programs, etc. There is a college canteen where you can get vegetarian and non-vegetarian items as well as fast food items.
