The eligibility criteria for the BDes course at DJ Academy of Design is that the candidate should have passed Class 12 (or equivalent) with a minimum of 50% aggregate. Moreover, candidates' age should not exceed 22 years as of Jul 31. The admission is done based on the performance in the DJAD Entrance Exam on Design (DEED) and in the Personal Interview conducted by DJAD Coimbatore.

The eligibility criteria for the MDes course at DJ Academy of Design is that the candidate should have passed the undergraduate programme and have cleared the DJAD Entrance Exam for Design (DEED). Further, the admission process is followed by the Personal Interview conducted by DJAD, Coimbatore. During the entrance exam and Personal Interview, the design aptitude of applicants will be evaluated along with their skills in Sketching, Visualisation, Creativity, and Sense of understanding & solving problems.

DJ Academy of Design admission to BDes course is completely entrance-based. To secure a seat to the course, candidates must fulfil the basic eligibility requirements of the programme and proceed with the other selection rounds. Enrollment into the Postgraduate Programme is determined by the scores from the Undergraduation examination, performance in the DJAD Entrance Exam for Design 2023 (DEED 2024), and the Personal Interview at DJAD, Coimbatore.

DEED 2024 and the Personal Interview assess applicants’ design aptitude, evaluating skills in Sketching, Visualisation, Creativity, and Problem-solving.

During the interview, candidates are required to present a Work Portfolio showcasing their creative endeavors, such as drawings, paintings, photographs, films/videos, craftwork, projects, models, etc.

DJ Academy of Design provides a hostel facility both for boys and girls. The hostel facilities include safe drinking water, solar water heaters, a kitchenette, and gym facilities and are 24 hours Wi-Fi enabled. The student's mess provides quality food for the entire student community. The students are provided South Indian and North Indian food during mess hours.

DJ Academy of Design admission process involves three steps, i.e., application process, selection rounds (DJAD Entrance Exam on Design (DEED) + PI), document verification and course fee payment. Students also have to submit portfolio for screening.

The documents required for admission to DJ Academy Of Design include the filled application form, Passport size photographs, the photocopy of the 10th & 12th standard mark sheets, the photocopy of the Undergraduate degree & mark sheet, the photocopy of the valid and qualified CEED/UCEED scorecard, the photocopy of the Aadhaar card, the photocopy of the PAN card and two passport size photographs. There is also an application fee of INR 1,500 to be paid through an application fee demand draft.

No, DJ Academy of Design admissions are not merit-based. The academy selects students purely on an entrance basis. Interested students have to appear for the DEED exam. Those shortlisted then will be called for Personal Interview.
