Strong academics with supportive faculty. Good campus life and events. Average industry experience.

Placements: Computer Science batch at Dr DY Patil College. Around 40 to 50% of students were placed through campus drives. The highest package offered was around 6 LPA, the lowest was about 2 LPA, and the average package was nearly 3 to 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies included TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Capgemini, and local IT firms. Around 50% of students secured internships, mainly in small IT companies, startups, and training institutes. Top roles offered were software developer, junior programmer, technical support, and data analyst trainee. Placement outcome depended largely on student skills, certification, and project work.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is kind of average as it's new and hostel facility is not available yet. Labs are good, the library is small, but books are mostly available whenever needed. The canteen is good and has a variety of fresh food, sports are mainly focused on, and games are played nicely, making it enjoyable.

Faculty: Dr DY Patil College's Science and Computer Science programs offer a disciplined learning environment with a balance of theory and practical work. The faculty is qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful, especially during labs and projects. Teaching quality is structured and clear. The curriculum covers programming, databases, networking, and core Science subjects, making it relevant and concept-based. Industry readiness depends on student effort along with internships. Semester exams are moderate and manageable with regular study. The pass percentage is generally high.

Other: I was part of the Computer Science batch at Dr DY Patil College. The batch had a diverse and supportive student group. I chose this course due to my interest in computers and technology. The course offers strong theoretical knowledge, practical labs, and project guidance. Areas for improvement include more industry exposure, live projects, and internship support. The college conducts cultural, technical, and sports events, creating an active campus life. The campus crowd is disciplined. Connectivity is good with public transport nearby. The surroundings are safe. Scholarships are available as per norms. Extracurricular activities include NSS and sports.
