Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University accepts the online mode of the application process. To fill out DSPMU application form, candidates can follow the steps given below:

Step 1: Visit the official website of DSPMU (www.dspmuranchi.ac.in)

Step 2: Click on the ‘Students Corner' tab and choose ‘Admissions.’ Further, click on ‘Apply Admission Form Online'

Step 3: Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on ‘Apply Online.’ Read all the application and admission related guidelines before proceeding

Step 4: Now, register yourself by addressing the details like your name, date of birth, email ID and mobile number. A registration number will be sent to your mobile number.

Good qualified and friendly teachers.

Placements: In the last year, 80% of students studying in vocational courses got placed in very reputed institutions such as TCS. The highest package was around 10 LPA and the minimum was 3.5 LPA. The most number of students who were placed belonged to the BCA course. Overall, it is a good institute for securing a decent job.

Infrastructure: The hostel facility is one of the best in Ranchi in terms of safety, availability of services, and support staff. The food provided here is good, catering to the requirements of students. Students get a variety of meals. The behavior of the warden towards students is also good.

Faculty: Teachers who teach here are highly qualified, and many belong to some of the best colleges in India, such as JNU and DU. They are very helpful towards students, clarifying all doubts in a friendly manner. They are ready to solve every problem that a student experiences.

Other: I have chosen to study a Master's in Zoology because I want to become a professor at DSPMU. The best thing about this course is the presence of friendly teachers, which makes it so easy for me to study. One thing I would like to see improved is that there are too many student organizations, which sometimes causes delays in official work.

One of the best college because of it’s teaching quality and placements record.

Placements: In my batch, the number of total students is more than 50 out of which 30 students are selected for placements. So the percentage of selections is more than 60%. The highest package offered is 6 lacs annually and the lowest is 1.2 Lacs annually. Top recruiting company is TCS. More than 70 percent students got internships. Companies visiting are TCS, Tata, and some laboratory companies.

Infrastructure: In our college, 4 hostels are available out of which 2 are for boys and 2 for girls, among which two are for under graduate students and the other 2 for PG students. The hostel had a good building with full Wi-Fi coverage and good food being provided. Both indoor and outdoor games are available along with a medical room for the students.

Faculty: In my course, all the teachers are well qualified. There is a total of 8 teachers available, among them, 5 are males and 3 are females. They complete their Ph.D. and are NET qualified. In my college, there is a total of 4 semesters in PG and the exams are conducted strictly, no cheating. Minimum passing percentage is 33 percent.

Other: My college is the best college in the State of Jharkhand. It is located in the heart of Ranchi. I chose this course because I love Zoology. In my college, Holi celebration, Annual function, and Sports Day were organized. Scholarships also provided in the college. Wi-Fi service is not good, I think it can be improved in the future.

Best University in Ranchi.

Placements: There is no placement for students enrolled in M.Sc. botany, but few students get internship opportunities in various companies. Other departments such as IT, Computer Science has a good record of placement , of around 85% with an average package of 6 LPA.

Infrastructure: The department of botany runs along with the department of microbiology. The classroom is fully Wi-Fi enabled, with other facilities such as Projector, Well lit LED, Smart board etc. We have 2 labs for the M.Sc. students. There is also a library inside the department. The university has 2 hostels for M.Sc. students. The food quality is not so great. The university has its own basketball ground and a spacious canteen. Our university has its football team, hockey team, volleyball team that takes part in the inter university competitions.

Faculty: All the professors are highly qualified and everyone holds a Ph.D. degree. Some of the professors have their unique way of teaching that makes the class very interesting. The board of studies has prepared a syllabus which is quite effective to learn and definitely makes you ready for the industrial application. Talking about semester, it is conducted every 6 months, and one mid semester is conducted before every semester. The difficulty of our exam is moderate and an average student can easily pass the exam. Pass percentage is 90-95%.

Other: I chose this course because of my interest in plant science. Our University has a great campus life. Every year the university holds an annual youth fest named "SHYAMSTOV", that runs for 3 days. There are a lot of clubs and societies running in the university. You can get scholarship here from the Jharkhand government named E-Kalyan.

Satisfied with the faculty and campus.

Placements: There are only 40 student seats available per year for PG Physics. The top 40 students from Ranchi as per UG marks will take admission. This is the best college for study in Ranchi for master degree from this college. The various companies come for the internship, and most of the students got internship per year.

Infrastructure: In this college, only 40 students study there for the best classroom experience in this college. The college campus is the best, and many events are organised as per your quality development. The labs have a good tool for practicals and proof. They are also well-experienced and kind.

Faculty: The teaching quality is the best because they got results and selected in campus selection for many good companies. The teachers are talented, experienced, and have topic wise class, therefore, this is the best. The classes are good, and the teachers are good. They have surprise test for this examination

Poor infrastructure and lab facilities.

Placements: There are no placements for the core Science programme as most of the students go for higher studies as in doctoral programmes. However, there are some placements for the vocational courses such BCA, BBA etc. One can check the college website for the same.

Infrastructure: DSPMU is relatively a new University and it's in the transformational phase. There is no hostel and canteen facility available at the college. Sports facility is also limited. Altogether it has a poor infrastructure with poor lab facilities as of now but they're developing the infrastructure.

Faculty: The teachers are qualified but the students to teacher ratio is relatively low. Also the course curriculum is a bit traditional here although a new curriculum has been adopted which is exhaustive and it depends on student what they make out of it.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of faculty, good placements, really good infrastructure and.

Placements: Placements were good for all the streams of arts, commerce and also for Science. Many companies like Tata Consultancy Services, Maruti and many other BPO companies visit the campus for recruitment. And also, the package is very impressive. 1000 students were placed in my batch. The highest package is Rs. 7,20,000 per annum, and the lowest is Rs. 2,40,000 per annum.

Infrastructure: One of the best colleges of Ranchi, which is located in Jharkhand. College infrastructure is awesome. Labs are well-equipped and organised. The playground is also well organised for playing cricket and football. Three canteens are available on the college campus. The hostel rooms are also good. No issue related to infrastructure is faced.

Faculty: The faculty members of this college are very good, kind-hearted, helpful and most important thing, very qualified and knowledgeable. They use blackboard and as well as the projector. The ratio of student and teacher is good. Arts, Science and commerce streams are available.

Other: One of the best colleges of Ranchi. College infrastructure is awesome. Labs are well-equipped and organised. Faculty members are also good enough. Placement depends on your talent. If you deserve, you will definitely get placed. Student crowd is awesome.
