Journey through medical college: Challenges, growth, and lifelong learning.
Placements: We got here by clearing the tough NEET exam. In this college, along with knowledge, we also get the best memories for our lives. There is a mandatory internship provided by the college. As it is an MBBS course, we don't have placements.
Infrastructure: Gajara Raja Medical College is one of the oldest medical colleges in India and the oldest medical college in Madhya Pradesh. It's a great place to study MBBS. The classrooms are well-equipped, and the campus has wifi. The mess hall serves average food, but we have access to all the medical facilities we need.
Faculty: The internal exams conducted by our college are a little hard compared to those of university exams. The difficulty of exams conducted by the university is also good, requiring us to study all the books and related stuff, as well as things that are necessary for being a good doctor. About 60-70% of students pass these exams.
Other: We need to clear NEET exam to enter a government medical college. Once you are in, you will find that the fees are not very high, and it is quite fun to be here.

Review of Gajara Raja Medical College.
Placements: First correct my college name; it's not Gajara; it's (GAJRARAJA MEDICAL COLLEGE). Do not worry about placements when you are pursuing an MBBS course from a government medical college because the government provides opportunity to their UG-completed student by providing a rural service in which the pay is approximately 60,000 per month, and after that, a government doctor in which the normal salary of the doctor according to the state.
Infrastructure: MBBS is one of the most basic and necessary courses in the medical line to be a doctor in my college. Other courses like PG courses like MD, MS, and DMLT, BMLT, B.Sc. nursing, etc. are there. Of course, PGs of medical science are more respected than UGs, and seniority is seen, and PGs do work of UGs like maintaining class schedules.
Faculty: Our teachers are qualified in each subject because being a faculty member in a government medical college requires a PG degree from a medical college. After that, you can easily get your assistant professor position. Students become good doctors by practice, and hospitals are the best in Madhya Pradesh. Exams are proof-read and are very tough; you should study from the beginning.

It is a historically valuable and great educational premise.
Placements: As this is a medical college, the term placement does not hold any importance here. There is a year of paid internship in the multiple connected government hospitals, which are very large. One has to do mandatory rural service for a year as a doctor, which is also paid.
Infrastructure: This college is the oldest government medical college in Madhya Pradesh, having been inaugurated in 1947. It's also the 12th oldest M.Ed school in India. So, historically, it has been of great importance. The building is old and antique, which gives it authenticity. Halls, lecture theatres, labs, and others are renovated and made modern with air conditioners, projectors, and much more. I am a day scholar. Our college has multiple hostels, both for PG and UG students. The biggest downside is that we do not have a canteen here but got ourselves milk parlors, which are good and have all the packaged food items. We have a huge sports centre in the hospital nearby the hostels, which has a soccer field, a track course, basketball, volleyball, badminton, and lawn tennis courts.
Faculty: Faculty members are all highly qualified and very helpful. Although some are not as good as you can find anywhere, overall academics are of the utmost priority here since this field requires it. Exams are conducted yearly with some sessionals in between. They are highly difficult and require your full potential, which is valid in our field. Each subject and practical has a pass percentage of 50%.
Other: A doctor is a novel profession, and hence it is one of the highest-paid professions. The best things about this degree are getting to interact with different people with different backgrounds and seeing bizarre cases. We have a yearly conducted fest. It is conducted in 8 to 10 days, which is the most amazing time of the year with so many performances, gatherings, and a great amount of time with your friends.

Review of Gajara Raja Medical College
Placements: We have two hundred students in my batch of 2021. I don't have many ideas about package details. Most of the students from our college get jobs in government hospitals. The top roles that were offered for our course are government medical officers, doctors, nurses, paramedics, professors, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college provides good facilities. We have fully air-conditioned rooms, but some of the air conditioners are not of good quality, and even if they are not in operating condition. Hostels are in below-average condition and are too old. But they have now built a new hostel.
Faculty: The teachers in our college are well-qualified and very helpful, except for a few professors. Overall, we have good teaching facilities. The course is relevant with good quality teaching. We have not experienced any exams yet, but we found it interesting as our seniors told us.

It is the oldest college in Madhya Pradesh and still doesn't lose its glamour.
Placements: It has produced some of the top-notch doctors in our country who have pioneered in their fields with many acclaiming Padmabhusans and Civilian Awards. Doctors have been placed in leading hospitals all over India and left no tables unturned in being one of the smartest and the greatest of their time.
Infrastructure: There are 2 boys' hostels and 2 girls' hostels for undergraduates. There is a PG girls' hostel and PG boys' hostel also. They plan to acclaim one of the new buildings for interns. The classrooms are really modern. The library needs a lot of improvement because of a poorer female librarian. It would have been better of it were a 24-hour library.
Faculty: The best of the teachers and authors have been the alumnus of this college. To name a few, Dr. B D Chaurasiya for anatomy, Dr. Park for PSM, Dr. Ashok Mishra who made a huge contribution and is the head of IAPSM and drafter of the textbook, and Dr. Jain for ENT. You'll find top-notch academics with some really senior faculty members.
Other: MBBS is the pride of every NEET aspirant. It's something millions in India aspire to be. The best thing about it is the satisfaction after treating people, and their gratitude is all that we seek. Like always, being a government college, it has brilliant funding for fests, scholarship programs, various Edu-meets and seminars.

Co-curricular activities are very less here.
Placements: MBBS is not about placements, and you will have to seek higher education like PG, MD and MS for a better future. There is already a shortage of doctors in India, so after completing MBBS from any government college in India, students can easily get a post of MO in a PHC. In our college, the education is good. It is the second-best college in Madhya Pradesh. You get a good exposure as lots of patients visit the hospital to seek help. But for a better future, you will definitely have to work hard.
Infrastructure: The hospital campus is huge. There are 4 hospitals, including various departments. The buildings are quite old, but that's not a big problem. The main problem is the huge burden of patients due to a lack of resources. The college building is good and not a big issue. New buildings have been constructed but are not open yet, most probably due to Covid-19. I hope they will be opened this year. There are 2 girls hostels and 2 boys hostels, and they are not in very good condition. The buildings are very old. A few rooms have certain issues in the rainy season or have a network signal problem, but it is manageable. However, this is the situation in most of the government hostels. There is no proper canteen. There are two milk parlours, but they contain a huge range of packaged food items and some snacks like poha, Khaman, patties, etc. There is an auditorium for all the cultural activities. The sports complex is excellent. It has a basketball court, football ground, running track, volleyball court, kho kho ground, an open gym and many others. It is well managed by the sports supervisor. There are also two gyms, i.e., one for boys and one for girls. Both of them are in pretty good condition. Overall, for infrastructure, I'll give 5 stars out of 10 stars.
Faculty: All the teachers are not great here, but the clinical subject departments are awesome. All the teachers are very dedicated. They not only teach the subject but also teach about the very important part of medical education, i.e., how to deal with patients empathetically and effectively, which is a very important skill. Many of them have a good rapport and are quite famous in their fields. It's an honour to be a part of such an ecosystem. Non-clinical subjects are just average, but it's the same case in every medical college in India. So, it is not a big deal. For non-clinical subjects teachers, I'll give 6 stars out of 10 stars, while for clinical subjects, 9 stars out of 10 stars.

Review of Gajara Raja Medical College.
Placements: I am from the MBBS course. I took admission in the year 2014. After an internship, about 45% of the students got selected in NEET PG, which is for post-graduation admission after the course. In the post-graduation, the highest salary offered to students depend on college like in Delhi we get 1 Lacs per month. In Madhya Pradesh colleges, the lowest salary offered is Rs. 60,000 per month. The average salary offered is Rs. 75,000 per month. Academically average students got admission in Madhya Pradesh colleges, and some got Delhi high-class college with a designated branch of PG seats. Some also got admission in Maharashtra. After MBBS, we can get government jobs in medical college as a junior resident or at the periphery as a medical officer. Almost 75-80% of the students are got jobs in private hospitals like Apollo, Birla Hospitals and in government hospitals. Many students got a job in our college based on marks, ranks and after internship completion.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good, and it is built newly in recent time. Hospitals are also good, and many buildings are recently opened. The college provides free Wi-Fi in the library. There are proper labs for each subject, and all instruments are provided free of cost. Classrooms are newly made, which is smart classrooms with sound system, projectors and electronic boards. Hostels facility is also good, but old hostels are average. The newly-made hostel has lifts, a very good facility of purified water and also a good quality of food. There is also a canteen facility. Medical facilities are free for students in our hospital. Sports are organised annually.
Faculty: All teachers in our college are well qualified, and they are recruited by the government of Madhya Pradesh. They are helpful in all directions like for motivating and for study. They help in exams and practicals. Their teaching quality is one of the best in Madhya Pradesh colleges. The course curriculum is based on the MCI guidelines, which is followed by all India medical colleges.
Other: I have chosen this course because My dream is to become a successful doctor. My passion is to become a good surgeon and treat patients. The good thing about MBBS is it is a very peaceful and respectful course. Your name will be known by all people in your area, which feels you good. The college should improve the way of practice of medicine and internship teaching. Trips are conducted by the college annually. Fest and cultural programmes are also organised annually. Scholarships are given to backward castes and to brilliant students.

Really good education but bad infrastructure.
Placements: I am a student of MBBS course. I was admitted in batch 2016. This year 2014 batch passed out, all doctors get a government job after the completion of degree. Some prepare for post graduation and some become medical officer in any block or village. Salary for rural job is 57000. And for Junior residentship in hospital is 46000.
Infrastructure: Many non clinical departments namely Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Pharmacology, Microbiology and Community medicine are in academic block. Each department have their own Lecture theatre and Laboratories. No Wi-Fi facility is available for students. There is one central library which have thousands of books related to medical Science. Several reading rooms are there where students can study. Quality of mess food is average. No worries for medical facilities as there are Doctors all around. There is a sport complex in campus which has all the courts and grounds.
Faculty: Doctors are teachers. They are highly qualified and talented. They are Masters of their subject. Teaching quality is excellent as along with chalk and board audio visual aids are also used. Course curriculum is highly organised which ensures students get a well oriented and good education.
Other: I always wanted to do something for humanity so I chose to be a doctor. The best thing about this course is, here not only books are read feelings are also read. Sky is the limit for betterment. I personally suggest improvement in time given for respective professionals. Second professional is of one and a half year and final year is of ten months. Students should get more time to study final year as compared to second year. Every year fest is organised with name 'RHYTHM'. A lot of patients are always present in campus. Campus surroundings are all covered be mainly medical facilities like private hospitals, medical stires, Pathology and microbiology laboratories. Extra curricular activities are not given more value here.

Realistically, no. MBBS government seats at GRMC, Gwalior require far higher NEET scores (commonly 550+ for General, lower but still high for reserved categories). With 100–130, explore BDS (private), BAMS/BHMS, BPT, B.Sc Nursing, Allied Health Sciences, B.Pharm, or private MBBS abroad (if finances
