B.Tech. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering - Batch of 2029

Average in all fields like teaching, infrastructure, and mess. Best thing is that the fee is low.
Placements: In Electrical and Electronic Engineering at GEC Gaya, there are very few chances of getting placed through campus recruitment. Companies do visit, but they usually offer packages ranging from 3 LPA to 4 LPA, with a maximum of 10 LPA to 12 LPA. Top companies like HCL, TCS, and some lesser-known companies visit the campus. In 2024, about 98% of students from the Mechanical department got placed. In the EEE branch, the highest package is 12 LPA, while the lowest is 2.5 LPA this year. There are fewer opportunities to get internships through the college, so students generally need to find internships on their own during vacation.
Infrastructure: The main academic building is well developed with smart classrooms, and there are well equipped laboratories such as the workshop lab, computer lab, physics lab, and BEE Lab. Now, regarding hostels, there are five hostels available with high speed Wi-Fi facilities. The mess quality is average. It is an initiative to install speakers in the classrooms, and two more hostel buildings are being constructed.
Faculty: All teachers are friendly, supportive, and well-qualified, with many holding PhDs and some having 10 to 12 years of teaching experience. Students are required to maintain a minimum of 5 CGPA in every semester to pass, and at least 75% attendance is mandatory. They are not allowed to sit for the examinations.
Other: Basically, I chose the EEE branch because the college has limited placement opportunities, so we have a chance to pursue government or semi-government jobs such as PSUs, Railways, ISRO, NTPC, and others. In terms of sports, our college organizes inter-branch competitions in volleyball, cricket, table tennis, badminton, football, and basketball every year, conducted by the seniors. In addition, inter college competitions are also held in volleyball, table tennis, drawing, and many other activities.

Review of Gaya College of Engineering.
Placements: I think 80% of students appear every year. The lowest package is 3.6 LPA and the highest package 6 LPA. Companies are recruiting for campus placements. Maximum students appear in internships during the course. Auto cad is the most common course by the college for internships.
Infrastructure: Facilities for each branch are same. Wi-Fi is available. Labs are good. Classrooms are very good and clean. Library is available to study in all branches. Students and technology are very good to see you in the college. I work with the team for each semesters of this college.
Faculty: Teachers are very good, but they do not help during classes. The Electrical branch teacher and technology are very good. The College of Engineering and Technology is very important.
Other: I chose the electrical and electronics branch because my future is in my hands so I chose EEE branch over all branches. I think teachers have good communication skills and experience.

In 2015, placements and facilities were good.
Placements: 40% to 50% of students got placed. The highest, the lowest, and the average package offered is 18 LPA to 2.4 LPA. Recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, etc. Less than 30% of students got internships. Roles are offered to work in a company environment.
Infrastructure: Facilities are available like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and library.
However, some other facilities like the quality of the facilities in hostel, food available in mess and canteen, medical facilities, sports and games are okay.
Faculty: Faculty members are good, helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good. Course curriculum is relevant and it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are conducted in this college. Pass percentage is good but the issue is everywhere. Pass percentage is 60%-78%.
Other: Everything is available but not as expected as for a college life.

GCE Gaya, the heritage of Bihar.
Placements: Approximately 60 to 70 percent of students get placement from this college. The highest package is around 17 Lacs and the average package is around 4.5 Lacs. The lowest package is around 3 Lacs. The top companies are Cisco and TCS. Approximately 60 percent of students get internships from my college.
Infrastructure: All the basic facilities are available here like a playground, and the good infrastructure of the college. It was reconstructed in 2008. Wi-Fi facility is also available. The hostels are very good and water cooler facilities are present in the hostel. Mess food is average; they maintain hygiene and there is a variety of food present.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful. They always clear doubts of students whether they are in class or in their office. The course curriculum is very much relevant to our career. Semester exams are not very difficult; they are easy to crack after studying a few days before the exam.

The heart of Bihar engineering - GCE.
Placements: Approximately 50 to 60 percent of students get placement from my college. The highest placement record is around 18 lakhs, and the lowest placement is about 3 lakhs, and the average package is 5 lakhs. Approximately 40% of students get internships from college. Approximately all students are placed in their core fields.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very new and very impressive. The lab buildings are also very good. The hostel is newly made, and all the sports facilities are present in the hostel. The mess food is average on the test, but mess members maintain hygiene. Overall, it's good.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful regarding students. They give extra time to ask doubts, and they also allow students to their cabins for doubt. The course curriculum is very much relatable to our field. Semester exams are too difficult; anybody can crack them with moderate studies.

Gaya College of Engineering - One of the top colleges of Bihar.
Placements: Around 20-30 % of students are placed in the Electrical department. Most of the students opt for higher studies or government jobs. Recruiting companies are HCL, TCS, etc. visit our campus. Some of the sales companies visit our college and offer a basic LPA in their companies.
Infrastructure: Our college has two big academic buildings and two engineering workshops. There are five buildings for the hostel, three are for boys and two for girls. Hostels are big and the environment inside the hostel is too good. The food in the hostel is good.
Faculty: Faculty in this college are well experienced and helpful. Course curriculum is best for engineering including mid-semester and final semester exams. The duration of each semester is six months long, but the duration is reduced for each semester to four months due to additional activities.
Other: I chose this college for my B.Tech course. Fees are very low. Our project course should be improved. More hackathons to be introduced.
