Review of GMCH Chandigarh - Government Medical College and Hospital.
Placements: Government Medical College and Hospital, Chandigarh (GMCH), offers strong placement opportunities, particularly in the medical field. There are no traditional placements with companies recruiting, and graduates are well-prepared for various career paths, including government jobs, postgraduate studies, and private practice. All GMCHs provide compulsory internships, often with a stipend. Many graduates secure positions in medical offices or pursue further specialisation.
Infrastructure: The campus is not that big. It is very beautiful at the same time.
Faculty: The course is for 5.5 years. Due to COVID, it is for 5 years only. It offers 4 years of studies and 1 year of internship, where we are paid a good amount of stipend matching AIIMS. The pass percentage in each subject is 50%. Faculty members are very decorated and full of knowledge. Some teachers are too arrogant for that also.
Other: There is a fest named Euphoria, which is famous among the North campus colleges. It is an intercollege event of 4 days. It also organises an intra-college event named Plexus. An official freshers' party is organised by seniors. It also conducts annual days and conferences.

Short review of GMCH college for nursing.
Placements: I am from batch 2023 B.Sc. Nursing (currently in second year, 3rd sem nursing). Almost everyone, but placement doesn’t depend upon the college as there is no direct placement. Placement depends upon how good you studied in your course. The highest – many of the students cleared NCLEX from our college. The lowest – can’t say anything. Generally, students prefer to work in AIIMS. Yes, everyone gets a chance for an internship.
Infrastructure: For nursing, it is very poor. Like, only 2 lecture theatres in college and clinical hours are too much. The hostel is combined with the two lecture theatres, which is awful. For attending external subjects, we have to go to E block many times, which is really frustrating. College timing is 9 to 5. No Wi-Fi for students. The library is too good (2 libraries in college). No canteen in college, but in E block of the hospital, there are lots of canteens.
Faculty: Yes, teachers are very helpful, and semester exams are moderately difficult. Just need 50 percent to pass the exam. Almost everyone gets passed in this college. But questions are very repetitive. External classes are just a waste of time; you will be unable to understand a single external lecture as they are very fast and complete whole chapters in 2 days, especially anatomy.
Other: Well, fees – 10,000 for the first year (5,000 admission fee + tuition fees). The total is 25,000 for exams, two in a year (12.5k + 12.5k). Hostel fees 25,000, and mess 3,400 per 25 days.

I can't say this college is good or bad, but placement is good, and the future is secure.
Placements: All students were placed as it is a medical college and MBBS as a degree allows everyone to earn money. Everyone was allowed for internships. Some crack their NEET PG, and some of them go towards USMLE and PLAB for pursuing their medicine from abroad.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are very good for students. Hostels are very good with all facilities. Only hostel food is not good; rest everything is very good. Seniors are friendly too. Wi-Fi is not available in hostels, but the library is present in three blocks of the college with Wi-Fi and good infrastructure. Classrooms are also fully equipped with Wi-Fi.
Faculty: Faculty is not friendly; people are toxic over here, but once you get admission, it is certain that you will have a brighter future. Everything else is good, like the ENT department, which is too toxic for students. Once you mess up with them, they will make you pay the price.

My MBBS journey at GMC, Chandigarh.
Placements: GMCH is the best medical college in India. At GMCH, all the students get internships for our course. For placements, students have to pass the PG Exam, and on this basis, they get placed in various hospitals. The average package offered for our course was 5–8 LPA.
Infrastructure: GMCH has really good infrastructure for our course. In our course, all the necessary facilities, like labs and hospitals, were available for the students to practice. Students also got other facilities like sports, canteen, hostel, library, Wi-Fi, etc., at this college.
Faculty: Faculty available at GMCH for the MBBS course were helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. All the teachers were experienced in the field of teaching and in the medical field. The curriculum at GMCH was relevant and made its students industry-ready. Exams were of tough difficulty at this college.

Our college provides great internships.
Placements: No placements are provided here because it's a medical college, but you can join a hospital of your choice. You can also prepare for NEET PG for 1 year and then do a speciality course like MD or MS. An internship of one year is compulsory, for which you get a stipend of Rs. 31,000 per month, which is above average.
Infrastructure: All the required books are not easily available. Sometimes, we have to order them from Amazon. Classrooms are air-conditioned. The hostels have two-seater and single-seater rooms. Each room has enough space. Rooms are very clean and have adequate lights and fans. The food served in the mess is of high quality. They serve chicken, fish, and paneer every week. PGs and rental rooms are also available.
Faculty: Faculty members are well qualified. They are the best. We are very lucky to have them as our teachers. They are very friendly and supportive. If you have any doubts, they will help you. There are enough patients in the hospital, so you will get good exposure throughout the year.
Other: An annual festival is conducted. Sports competitions, art competitions, dance competitions, singing competitions, and a variety of other competitions are held. We also have various clubs, such as a sports club, a dance club, and so on.

Our college is the best in all aspects especially highly qualified faculty members.
Placements: Almost 20-30% of students got placed in our course with respect to my college's population percentage. The highest salary package offered was around Rs.60000 - Rs.70000 per annum and the lowest salary package offered was around Rs.30000 - Rs.40000 per annum. There are many government-recognised hospitals of Punjab that recruit students from our course. Around 20-40% of students got internships from the leading hospitals of Punjab. The main role of our course is a doctor or medical field job.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure of our college are amazing in all aspects of needs. The Wi-Fi is available 24*7, labs are well-maintained, classrooms are neat and well-modified with screens. The facilities available in the hostel are good. The food served in the hostel is always healthy and great every day, and we enjoy it. Canteens are well diverse, medical facilities are very strong. There are sports and games activities available in this college.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is highly motivated and strong. There is no difficulty I faced in the examination because the teachers prepared us fully in all aspects that we need for examination. The pass percentage is around 35-40% in our college.
Other: I chose this course because, from my childhood, I love the profession of caring and curing someone who needs help for their health disability. The best thing about our course is to help needy people who need to get well in disease period or any health problem. There is always unique and special events performed in our college to feel fresh or to be entertained. scholarships are given every year for our course provided by government or college faculty.
