Government Medical College And Hospital, Chandigarh, famously known as GMCH, Chandigarh, offers a BSc under four specialisations. The college grants BSc admission to applicants who are eligible as per the following eligibility criteria:

• Candidates must have passed Class 12 (from a regular school or National Institute of Open School) or a relevant Diploma/Vocational Course or any other equivalent qualifying examinations individually in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English, with an aggregate of at least 45% for General/General PwD and 40% for SC/SC PwD
• Candidates currently appearing in the Class 12 examinations or awaiting their Class 12 results are eligible to apply for provisional admission.

Instead, they are based on merit and secured status in GMCH Joint Entrance Test (GCET). For eligibility, a candidate must have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as compulsory subjects, with a minimum aggregate of 45% (40% for SC candidates). Applicants will then have to appear for the GMCH Joint Entrance Test (GCET), which assesses the knowledge and skills for various nursing courses, including B.Sc. Nurses. A merit list is prepared for the eligible candidates and counseling is conducted based on their position in the merit list and availability of seats for seats in B.Sc.
