• The NEET-UG 2023 registration window is now open. The last date to apply for the exam is Apr 6. NTA released the notification, information bulletin and application form for NEET 2023 on Mar 6 late evening. The NEET 2023 exam will be conducted on May 7.

Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) offers various UG and PG courses, including BSc, MBBS, MD, BOPTM, MS, and DM. Admission to the courses is based on the NEET exam. Candidates with a valid score in the national-level exam shall be eligible for admission.

Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Chandigarh offers various courses in the medical stream at UG as well as PG level. The college was established in the year 1991 and is run by Panjab University. It was ranked 15^th by India Today and 17^th by Outlook in the year 2019.

• Applications for MD/MS are accepted in the month of March
• For UG courses, applications are invited in the month of May every year
• Admission to UG programmes are conducted on the basis of NEET score
• For admission in PG programmes, a candidate needs to appear for NEET PG exam
• The college conducts its own entrance exam- GCET in order to accept admission to paramedical courses
• The college also conducts its own entrance exam for DPM and MPhil

GMCH offers various medical courses at the UG level. Candidates aspiring to take admission in UG programmes must have completed 17 years as on December 31 of the academic year.

Candidates can apply online for admission in GMCH by following the given steps:

1. Visit the official website of the GMCH, Chandiagarh to fill the online application form
2. Candidates must deposit the required application fee online or in the form of Demand Draft in favor of “Director Principal, Govt. Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32 B Chandigarh” payable at Chandigarh
3. Fill the application form with required details and take printout of the same
4. Submit the form and send it to the college along with the necessary fee and photocopies of the required documents to the following address:
