Complete review of Gopalan college.
Placements: The college hostel and placements are very good. Placements are the best at Gopalan College of Engineering and Management. Bangalore is the IT hub of India, and Whitefield is the main sector. Gopalan has its center at this place, so every company is nearby, like TCS, Microsoft, Capgemini; everybody comes to our college. The placement manager guides us on how to crack our placement aptitude tests, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and hostel are very good in Gopalan College. We have a vast campus, a canteen, and a hostel with very clean, hygienic rooms. The warden is very close to everybody and treats everyone like her children. In the library, we have every book from every department, and we also have other books which are not needed for our department, like value education books, which help us to read faster and give us motivation.
Faculty: Gopalan College is a VTU college that follows VTU rules and regulations, and question papers come from VTU. Gopalan College conducts 3 internals, and they select the best two out of three, based on the marks the students have scored. If you don't get the proper average marks, we have improvement tests so that we can get our CIE marks properly, and we are eligible for the exam. They also consider attendance; if we have less attendance, we cannot write our exams.
Other: In Gopalan College, we have monthly Freshers' events. We have weekly club activities; one week is technical, and another is non-technical. We have a photography club where we can learn camera handling and extracurricular activities, like sports, etc.

This college doesn't meet the primary requirements but has great knowledge of the course.
Placements: There are not many students who got placement here on this campus. There is career guidance and opportunities to get into the proper places through the guidance. There are not many top companies in our course. There are at least 50% of students who get internships. There are not many roles offered in my course.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is pretty good, with a Wi-Fi connection and a good classroom and library. It has a canteen, a football field, a cricket ground, and a tennis court. It has a separate sports building where there is badminton and so on. The medical facilities are good.
Faculty: Here, the teachers have good knowledge about the course. Their teaching is great. They help each and every student, even those who are struggling a lot in every subject. The semester exams are not that hard to pass. The pass percentage should be 18%.
Other: I chose this course because it's flexible and you can work in many fields of the IT industry. I want to improve more on the programming and practice it. The campus has recently started to host events, festivals, and club activities.

Gopalan College of Engineering and Management
Admission FAQs

Q:   Is B Tech in Aeronautical Engineering at Gopalan College of Engineering and Management better than Vidyashilp University
A:

When we compare both colleges these have their faculty members and it depends on the faculty members that they provide to you. In the first year, you will not feel any difference after that when they make separate sections based on marks there is a chance that you might feel it. But yes again it depends on the faculty members in the college.

Q:   Can students with a minimum cutoff for B Tech get a seat at Gopalan College of Engineering and Management?
A:

Students who meet the minimal cutoff for BTech admissions are eligible to enroll at Gopalan College of Engineering and Management.

• To be eligible for a BTech programme at Gopalan, a candidate must have completed 10+2 or its equivalent with a minimum of 45% of aggregate marks (or 40% for SC/ST candidates). Physics and Mathematics are required courses, in addition to Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, and Biology.

• In accordance with COMEDK guidelines, Karnataka students must have a valid KCET score in addition to the minimum subject-wise cutoff percentages in PCM subjects.

• Admissions for non-KCET candidates are solely determined by their 10+2/equivalent scores. The criteria for the minimum aggregate percentage are still in place.

• Every year, deadlines are different based on a variety of factors, including the volume of applications, seat availability across branches, trends from prior years, etc. Students who still meet the requirements can still compete for seats.

• As a result, students may be able to gain admission to less popular branches if they achieve the minimal cutoff scores established by Gopalan College for that academic year.

In conclusion, achieving the cutoff scores alone does not ensure admission, but it does maintain one's eligibility to apply and be evaluated in accordance with the policies and seat availability. Chances are improved by performance above cutoffs.

Q:   When will the KCET exam be held for the GCEM?
A:

KCET is a state-level entrance exam, It was held between 18 Apr '24 - 19 Apr '24, The results will be out on May 20, 2024. Most probably the admissions will start in June-July. KCET will release forms for correction between 09 May '24 - 15 May '24.

For more information on KCET please visit KCET 2024: Answer Key (OUT), Correction Facility (May 8), Admit Card Download Link at kea.kar.nic.in (shiksha.com)

Q:   What is the B.Tech cutoff for SC and ST categories at Gopalan College of Engineering and Management?
A:

Gopalan College of Engineering and Management BTech cutoff 2023 for Electronics & Communication Engineering was 75891 for SC and 75891 for ST category. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in COMEDK, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.

Q:   Can I get Gopalan College of Engineering and Management B Tech with 65 percentile in UGET?
A:

Yes, at the 65 percentile in COMEDK UGET, you have a reasonable chance of being admitted to the BTech programs at Gopalan College of Engineering and Management (GCEM).

According to prior cutoffs, you might be admitted to some GCEM BTech branches with a 65–70 percentile COMEDK UGET score, depending on things like:

The COMEDK quota seats that are available; - Your COMEDK scorecard and rank; - The choices you made during counseling; - The competition and priorities established by other COMEDK candidates.

Popular GCEM departments like information Science and computer science, however, might still be out of reach at this percentile. You should use the COMEDK channel at GCEM to target branches like Civil, Mechanical, Electronics, and Communication, among others, based on your score.

That being said, your chances would be higher across branches if you had a higher 75+ percentile score on COMEDK.Alternatively, if you are qualified, you can investigate your chances of being admitted using your KCET exam results, management quota, or lateral entry.

In conclusion, while there are BTech admission opportunities through COMEDK at GCEM for select branches at the 65 percentile, choice filling tactics and fallback options should be taken into account in relation to this score.

Q:   How do students get selected for B Tech and what is the minimum percentile required?
A:

The state entrance exams or the consortium of colleges' entrance exams serve as the basis for the B Tech selection process at Gopalan College of Engineering and Management (GCEM). Depending on their domicile status, candidates must appear for either the COMEDK UGET or the KCET. The candidates must be eligible if they have completed Physics and Mathematics as required subjects in their 10+2 coursework and received at least 45% of the possible points.

Every year, the cutoff percentile for these tests changes based on the quantity of applicants, test difficulty, and seat availability. The web search results indicate that the GCEM cutoffs from the prior year are as follows:KCET:

In 2023 and 2022, the closing ranks for Computer Science and Engineering were 38514 and 56020, respectively. In 2023, Electronics and Communication Engineering had a closing rank of 38709, while in 2022 it was 55844.
