Complete review of Gopalan college.
Placements: The college hostel and placements are very good. Placements are the best at Gopalan College of Engineering and Management. Bangalore is the IT hub of India, and Whitefield is the main sector. Gopalan has its center at this place, so every company is nearby, like TCS, Microsoft, Capgemini; everybody comes to our college. The placement manager guides us on how to crack our placement aptitude tests, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and hostel are very good in Gopalan College. We have a vast campus, a canteen, and a hostel with very clean, hygienic rooms. The warden is very close to everybody and treats everyone like her children. In the library, we have every book from every department, and we also have other books which are not needed for our department, like value education books, which help us to read faster and give us motivation.
Faculty: Gopalan College is a VTU college that follows VTU rules and regulations, and question papers come from VTU. Gopalan College conducts 3 internals, and they select the best two out of three, based on the marks the students have scored. If you don't get the proper average marks, we have improvement tests so that we can get our CIE marks properly, and we are eligible for the exam. They also consider attendance; if we have less attendance, we cannot write our exams.
Other: In Gopalan College, we have monthly Freshers' events. We have weekly club activities; one week is technical, and another is non-technical. We have a photography club where we can learn camera handling and extracurricular activities, like sports, etc.

This college doesn't meet the primary requirements but has great knowledge of the course.
Placements: There are not many students who got placement here on this campus. There is career guidance and opportunities to get into the proper places through the guidance. There are not many top companies in our course. There are at least 50% of students who get internships. There are not many roles offered in my course.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is pretty good, with a Wi-Fi connection and a good classroom and library. It has a canteen, a football field, a cricket ground, and a tennis court. It has a separate sports building where there is badminton and so on. The medical facilities are good.
Faculty: Here, the teachers have good knowledge about the course. Their teaching is great. They help each and every student, even those who are struggling a lot in every subject. The semester exams are not that hard to pass. The pass percentage should be 18%.
Other: I chose this course because it's flexible and you can work in many fields of the IT industry. I want to improve more on the programming and practice it. The campus has recently started to host events, festivals, and club activities.

I will definitely recommend this college.
Placements: Most of the students were placed in good companies with great packages. 98% of students were placed, and most of them were from CSE. IBM, Dell, Infosys, and TCS are the leading companies that come for recruitment. If utilised efficiently, it is the best college.
Infrastructure: Hostels are well-ventilated and have Wi-Fi connectivity. Labs are huge, and classrooms are very hygienic. The library has a wide collection of books that are very helpful for our reference. Hostel food is good. Sports and games must be given equal importance.
Faculty: Lecturers are well educated but are sometimes very pressuring to the students. Multiple tests and exams are conducted but with less time for preparation. The course curriculum makes the students industry-ready. Semester exams are moderate.
Other: I chose this course as I was interested in computer science, but I kindly request to improve the canteen food quality. Sports and games must be given equal importance. Fests and events must be conducted to avoid pressure on students. Dissatisfied because of the canteen food.

I don't recommend this college.
Placements: Many students got placed but off-campus. This is a tier-3 college, so the placements are offered with low packages. Some got placed in TCS, Wipro, Infosys, etc., but mostly off-campus. Other students are still looking for jobs.
Infrastructure: Food is the worst of all, and I don't recommend this hostel. There is Wi-Fi, but it never gives enough speed even to deliver normal messages. Girls and boys live in the same hostel building, which is the worst. The washrooms are very untidy. The washing machine doesn't work well.
Faculty: If we ask the faculty any doubt, they stop responding to us on WhatsApp. Not all teachers are good, but some are good. The faculty are not helpful to us. Some of them hold personal grudges against students, reflecting that in giving marks. They don't teach well, and they have no good knowledge.
Other: I thought Bangalore was an IT hub, so I came here. Unfortunately, I got into this college. So, I'd only recommend you try any other college but this. Plus VTU has its own mechanics and rules, which is very hectic.

The faculty members are great, but the placements in 2021 are the worst.
Placements: For my batch 2021, they were not able to provide good placements. 2-3 companies came here, and the salary was 2-3 LPA. But students got placed off-campus. Our department used to help us with information regarding those placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. The classrooms are well-fully managed with smart boards, proper benches and desks. A sports ground is available for football, cricket etc. Hostel rooms are very good, but the quality of food is average. The library is digital, and you will get all the books required. Labs are nice, and all the experiments are conducted in labs according to the syllabus.
Faculty: The faculty members are good. If you have any doubt, you can contact them any time and clear it. They all are good teachers, but they will teach you only those things which are in the syllabus provided by Government University, and the syllabus doesn't make you ready for industries. For that, you have to put your own effort.

Placements and infrastructure are amazing. It should improve canteen and extracurricular activities.
Placements: I am pursuing my second semester in our college, so I don't know much about placements. However, the CSE branch got the highest placements in the previous year. Oracle, Infosys and many other companies were the top recruiting companies last year with the best salary packages. My branch got the second-highest placement offers.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi and lab facilities are great here, but canteen service needs to be maintained. Non-vegetarian food is not provided for students, which disappointed many of my classmates. Sports are good, but they must provide a lot of equipment so that we all can participate equally. They also should organise sports sessions.
Faculty: Teachers here are well qualified and knowledgeable, but they put pressure on students. Assignments and homework are hectic, and it causes a burden. Semester exams are average, but sufficient time is not provided for preparation. The pass percentage is 38 marks out of 100 marks and 19 marks out of 50 marks.
Other: I chose this course because of my parents, but it's easy. Most of the students of my passing out batch chose the mechanical branch. This course is easy and technical. We need more events and fests because recently the college opened after lockdown, and there was no sign of welcoming students, whereas other colleges performed the welcoming party very well. Extracurricular activities are not conducted, so our college should improve that.

It's a good college with good placements but must improve canteen facilities and add non-vegetarian.
Placements: About 90% of students got excellent placements from here. I don't know much about the salary packages offered because I am a fresher. However, as far as I remember, I saw the banner of the college in which 147 students out of 180 students got placed from our course of CSE last year. ME branch has second-highest placements.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are huge and spacious here. The library is a little smaller. I don't have experience with the hostel, but they should provide non-vegetarian also. Canteen facilities need to be improved. Sports and games equipment must be provided for both males and females so that they can enjoy sports.
Faculty: Teachers here are kind and have great knowledge about the subject. But assignments and homework are given more, and they provide less time to complete them. Exams are 60% easy. The passing marks are 19 marks out of 50 marks in internals and 38 marks out of 100 marks in externals. But some teachers are rude and don't respect student's feelings. I have such experience with teachers who spoke very hurtful to me.
Other: I suggest the college to just improve the canteen facilities and include non-vegetarian for students. Moreover, it should organise events and fests so that we can also enjoy and study in college. Now, our college only focuses on the study.

It is a small college but has good faculty.
Placements: About 10% of the students got placed that too from off-campus placements. The salary package offered in off-campus is 3.5 LPA. Razorthink is the top recruiter in off-campus. The software engineer is the top role offered to students. The highest salary package of 3.5 LPA and the lowest salary package of 2.4 LPA and the average salary package of 3 LPA are offered in our course. About 10% of the students got internships on their own. The placement team were not at all good here, and they will only refer you for the pool campus drives.
Infrastructure: It is a small college, and Wi-Fi facility is also not available on the campus. However, there is a library and classrooms are good with ample of space. Our college building is newly constructed. The quality of the food served in the hostel was bad, and there are no medical facilities. There is a sports centre, but you will have to pay to use it. There are tennis court and turfs, but even you need to pay it.
Faculty: Teachers were good, and they help in learning things and were well qualified. They are knowledgeable, and they will provide time for you to ask your doubts. The course curriculum was not updated. It was old as it updated in 2015. I have no idea about the current syllabus.
Other: Computer science is the future as now the world is full of IT-based, so I chose it. We need to go with the trend, so I wish the syllabus should be updated accordingly. Organising of Estralis event started when I join college.

First of all, try to take admission through counselling process, if you are getting any. But, if you aren't getting any college through counselling, then go through management quota and it is for sure will be costly in comparison to counselling. But, through management quota, you can get the college

You need to have a PG course like M.Tech for Ass. Proff. in a Engg. college. After that check for the updates in the college websites in Career section and apply in some colleges. When there is a vacancy they will call you for Interview.
