It is a decent college with basic facilities, supportive faculty, and moderate placements.

Placements: Around 30 percent of students were placed. The highest package was around 4 LPA, the lowest was 1.8 LPA and the average was 2.5 LPA. Companies like TCS, Wipro and Infosys visited. Around 20 percent got internships in small IT firms. Roles included development, support and testing.

Infrastructure: The BCA department at Gopikabai Sitaram Gawande College has basic infrastructure and facilities. There are dedicated computer labs for practical sessions, equipped with a moderate number of systems. However, many of the computers need upgrades, and some software is outdated. Wi-Fi is available but not very reliable or fast, which can be a challenge during online research or project work. Classrooms are spacious but could benefit from more modern teaching aids like smart boards or projectors.

Faculty: Teachers are generally helpful and qualified, with good subject knowledge. The curriculum is basic but relevant, though not fully industry-oriented. Semester exams are moderately difficult. The average pass percentage is around 75-80%. Learning is fair.

Other: I chose BCA due to my interest in computers and IT. The best part is learning programming and software skills. I wish the course had more practical exposure and industry tie-ups. Campus events are limited, but the crowd is friendly and the area is peaceful.

Placements: Placement rates in college are 60 percent of those with strong industry connections. Maybe the highest package is offered and others may struggle to achieve 100 percent placement. The top roles offered by the college. The most demanding and most playing roles course includes data science.
