Placements: I am currently pursuing an M.A in Economics A Govt. College. In our course, around 70%-75% of students were successfully placed in various sectors. The highest package offered was around INR 8 lakh per annum, while the lowest stood at INR 3 lakh per annum, with the average being INR 5 lakh per annum. Top recruiting companies included financial institutions like HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, and research firms. Around 70% of students received internships, mainly in companies like EY, PwC, and Public Policy Think thanks. The top roles offered were data analytics, financial analysis, and research.

Infrastructure: Our department has a well-maintained infrastructure, including modern classrooms with projectors, Wi-Fi access, and a well-stocked library with a good collection of economics journals and books. The labs are fully functional with updated software for econometrics and data analysis. Hostel facilities are satisfactory with decent accommodations, regular cleaning, and nutritious food in the mess. The college provides medical assistance, and the campus also has sports grounds and indoor games facilities, enhancing student life.

Faculty: The faculty for the M.A Economics course is highly qualified and knowledgeable. They are approachable and willing to assist students outside of class hours. The curriculum is up-to-date and aligns well with industry standards, especially in quantitative economics and financial analysis. The semester exams are moderately difficulty, but the comprehensive teaching and study materials help the students perform well. The pass percentage typically hovers around 80%.
