Great Faculty and Vibrant Campus Life at GECK
Placements: The placement statistics for the 2021-22 batch at GECK show promising outcomes for CSE and ECE. CSE achieved 70% placement with 45 out of 64 students placed, while ECE recorded 60% with 32 out of 53 placed. Mechanical engineering secured 56% placement, with 32 out of 57 students placed. However, Civil engineering faced challenges, achieving only 5.2% placement, with 3 out of 57 students placed. These numbers highlight a stronger demand for CSE and ECE graduates, while Civil faced industry-specific constraints.
Infrastructure: GECK provides good infrastructure with spacious classrooms and well-equipped labs for all departments, including advanced computing labs for CSE. Wi-Fi is available across campus, and the library offers a variety of academic resources. The hostels have shared rooms with basic amenities, and the mess food is average but adequate. The nearby hospitals handle emergencies. Sports facilities include outdoor fields and indoor games, promoting students' physical well-being.
Faculty: The faculty at GECK is well-qualified and knowledgeable, with many professors holding advanced degrees and relevant industry experience. They are supportive and approachable, ensuring that students receive the guidance they need. The teaching quality is strong, with a focus on engaging students through lectures, projects, and discussions.
Other: Graduating ECE 2025 at GECK. Strong curriculum, supportive faculty, vibrant campus life, good accessibility. I chose this course because of my passion for electronics and communication technologies. The curriculum is well-structured, combining theory and practical applications, and the faculty is supportive and knowledgeable.

This is the best college.
Placements: The placement rate is about 100%. Reputed companies like TCS, Infosys, Tata, and others visit here.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is excellent. The mechanical branch is also excellent. I am a day scholar. The condition of the hostel is good, and the fee is low. It is inside the campus.
Faculty: There are very good lectures. Academics are going well. Faculty members are very good. They have master's degrees and Ph.D.s. The teaching is very good. We have permanent faculty members for all the subjects in all the branches. They are experienced. They encourage us to write competitive exams.
Other: I chose mechanical engineering because I am interested in aeronautics, and I would also like to work at ISRO. There are many events. There are around 1000 students in 4 branches. I am enjoying college life and studying well.

It is good for those people who just want a degree certificate and affordable.
Placements: The total percentage of students placed is 4 to 5%, and students are placed on campus. In the recent placement off-campus, 2 members are placed in BEL company. The highest salary is 12 LPA, average is 6 LPA, and the lowest is 2 LPA. Recruiting companies are Infosys, Wipro, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Kirloskar, startups in embedded systems and IoT, and Bosch (through VTU consortium), startups in embedded systems, IoT, and PCB design. It also provides internships through Q Spiders. Roles offered are junior design engineer (VLSI/PCB), software developer/test engineer, system support engineer, and graduate engineer trainee (GET).
Infrastructure: It has steadily developed over the years. It offers all the essential resources to support academic and practical learning. Analog and digital VLSI design, microcontrollers, and communication systems, C+, embedded system, etc. Campus Wi-Fi is not there and they have connected ethernet cables to systems in lab. Classrooms are spacious, ventilated, and equipped with projectors but one projector is not working properly. College library is shared across all departments. It has a quiet environment, great for self-study. Hostel is good on campus only, and canteen is small. It provides outdoor games like cricket, volleyball, etc. Indoor games are also provided like chess, carrom, etc. Hostel has good food service. College canteen is good.
Faculty: Faculty members are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is quite decent. VTU (Visvesvaraya Technological University) which is standard across Karnataka Government Colleges. While the curriculum is good for building a foundation, it may not be fully industry-ready. Unless students also take extra certification, internships, or coding practice on their own. College encourages project work and workshops, but students need to be proactive in learning current tools and technologies (like Python, MATLAB, PCB design, etc) to stay competitive. Semester exams are moderately difficult. Average pass rate in ECE is around 85-90%.
Other: I chose (ECE) as a field both hardware and software, embedded or even IT and software roles. Lab equipment could use an upgrade. Some devices are outdated or limited in number. We would benefit from more industry exposure, like guest lectures, industrial visits, or internship tie-ups. Programming support for ECE students (like C, Python, MATLAB workshops) should be made more regular. Placement training could be stronger, more mock interviews, aptitude sessions, and resume building guidance. Cultural events are there. Campus crowd is friendly, environment, and fresh air. Scholarships are based on merit. NSS, sports, and inter-college events are held. It has given me a strong technical base.
