Government Engineering College, Patan.
Placements: 70% of students got placement in my course. The maximum package is 9 LPA, the lowest package is 3 LPA, and the average package is 6 LPA. Every student in our department got an off-campus internship. There are many roles available, both in hardware and software.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available throughout the college, but you need to ask your faculty members for the password. There are 5 to 6 labs in my department, and classrooms are equipped with projectors. The library is housed in a separate building, accessible to students from all departments as per schedule. There are separate hostels for girls and boys, each with its own mess. The rooms and the campus are fully air-conditioned. Each room has a balcony, and there are three-sharing rooms with secured wardrobes, study tables and chairs, and beds. Wi-Fi is also available in the girls' hostel. Students in the hostel celebrate festivals and parties together, and the atmosphere is good. Ragging does not occur, and the security in the girls' hostel is also good. However, the boys' hostel is slightly messier compared to the girls' hostel.
Faculty: The faculty members are fully qualified in their respective domains and subjects; they hold Master’s degrees. They are also helpful in real-world applications apart from academics. Their teaching methods are good, but sometimes you need to complete the remaining syllabus on your own. This course has a substantial syllabus and many subjects, but you need to learn more to increase your overall package. End-term exams are conducted by GTU, making them harder than those at private universities, with an 80% passing percentage.
Other: I loved designing circuits and working on them, which is why I chose electronics and communication. The best thing about this course is the high demand for EC engineers, so if you have potential and interest, go for it. It would be great if some current technologies were included in the course, benefiting both students and the industry. Events and fests occur in college, and several clubs and societies run by students, such as NSS, Code Hives, Cultural Committee, and Sports Committee, are active. Many students participate in national events from the college. There are various scholarships available. For the general category, there is Digital Gujarat, and students from SC, ST, and OBC categories receive scholarships ranging from 25k to 30k INR. Other scholarships are available for students whose fathers work in sectors related to home making (e.g., furniture), providing scholarships of 25k INR.

Simple college but best at its qualities.
Placements: The previous batch got great placement. 80+ percent of class was placed. The highest package is 6.5 lac per annum, with a minimum package of 3.2 lac per annum. Every student has to do an internship in the last year of their degree. As per this rule, every student gets an internship; those who performed best in internships got great packages.
Infrastructure: The hostel is provided to scholars only. Others can stay in PG near the college. In college, everything is at its best, and professors are supportive and encouraging. Labs and college premises are clean and hygienic. The hostel has all the facilities, like a water cooler, a bike stand, a mess, and a field for football and cricket. All-over peaceful environment is best for students.
Faculty: Every professor here is highly qualified. Not everyone here is helpful but most of them will help you in their own way. Here are some professors whom you will like, hate or love. It's a complete package here. Every year, it makes you more ready for difficult scenarios in life.

Overall this college is not very good I would not recommend others to come in this college
Placements: Frontend Developer, Backend Developer, Full Stack developer, Business analytics, Jobs on basis of DSA, Web Development, App Developer, Companies Like Tatwa Soft, and so on are the roles offered. 100% placement are there as of here dozens companies come until every student is placed.
Infrastructure: Hostel is 10/30. Hostel food facilities are stopped since last one and half year due to tender not being passed even after so many complains. We don't have beds to sleep. We sleep on mattress by spreading on ground. There are less seats in our college and SC, ST students get first priority in hostel admission process.
Faculty: Teachers are genuinely good and supportive. They guide us whenever we need. I don't think course curriculum is relevant 100%. It's on us if we want to get industry ready, we have to develop skills by our own. Exams are not that difficult. As per my experience, we can clear exams even if study 2-3 days before exam.

Review of Government Engineering College, Patan.
Placements: We are all from the 2021 batch, which will be going to be passed out in 2025. About 20% of students got placed from campus, and 60% opted for higher as well as foreign education, and 20% opted for other options. The highest package from our college is about 3 LPA, and the average will be 1.8 LPA.
Infrastructure: The facility available for our course is decent. In the lab, almost most of the computers are not in working condition. There is good Wi-Fi facility available; you can access it anytime. The quality of the facility available in our hostel is about low class. Here you will get all things except drinking water, which is very essential for students.
Faculty: One thing is good in this college is that the faculty members are fully supportive and provide quality education. All the faculty members share their experience in terms of industry. Semester exams are not tough at all. Approximately 70% pass the semester exam.
Other: At the time of my admission, I was really disappointed with the infrastructure. But now it is all in good facility. In this campus, our principal is fully supportive for all fests. There you will enjoy your college life definitely.

Good college with good faculty members but lacks in terms of facilities available.
Placements: We all are from the 2021 batch, which will be going to be passed out in 2025. About 80% of the students got placed from on-campus, and the remaining 20% opted for higher education. The highest package from our college is about 6 LPA, and the average one will be about 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Tatvasoft, Shaligram Infotech, Valens Datalab, and many more.
Infrastructure: Facility available for our course is a bit worse.
There will be not any pressure regarding semester exams.
Other: At the time of my admission, I was really disappointed with the infrastructure. But now it is all in good facility.

Affordable government college with average infrastructure, moderate faculty, and limited placements.
Placements: Very few companies visit our college for placements, and most students have to find jobs off-campus. Only around 10–15% of students in my batch were placed. The highest package offered was around 4 LPA, with the average being below 2.5 LPA. Core companies rarely come for Electronics and Communication. Internships are not provided through the college; students have to arrange them independently. Overall placement support is minimal.
Infrastructure: Basic facilities are available. The department has labs, classrooms, and a library, but many lab instruments are outdated. Wi-Fi is limited to a few areas. Hostel rooms are shared and have essential amenities, but nothing advanced. The food in the mess is average and lacks variety. Canteen and sports facilities are also limited. The infrastructure needs improvement but is manageable if you're focused on self-study.
Faculty: Faculty members are knowledgeable but not always engaging. Some teachers are supportive, while others simply cover topics from slides. The curriculum is somewhat outdated but covers the core concepts well. Practical training is limited, so self-learning is essential. Exams are of moderate difficulty, and the pass percentage is around 60–70%. Students need to prepare on their own for a better understanding of the subject.
Other: I chose this course due to personal interest and the low fee structure. The college is suitable for those who are self-motivated. Students who focus on skill development through online platforms or internships outside of college can make the most of their time here. Improvements are needed in labs, placement support, and industry exposure.
