Better to take admission here if you are confused. It has value for money.
Placements: I am impressed by the placements of this college with its rural location, unlike LDCE or Vishwakarma, but it is becoming better day by day in Computer Science engineering. I heard our senior got a 9 LPA package on-campus and many other students got massive placements.
Infrastructure: I am sure that even a great government college doesn't have that good infrastructure and all the things are renovated. We have also canteen facilities and mess too, hostels are accurate, clean and time-to-time meals or mess. All the departments are designed in the same way and have very interesting architecture.
Faculty: Faculty support with all their power I am quite impressed. Our professor helps the students to be ready for an industrial job. I feel a little bit harder for exam preparation because one of the Maths professors has not completed his course fully so we have to prepare it ourselves.
Other: I chose CSE based on my interest. It can be more efficient for my future and my seniors also help me a lot.

Satisfied with the college.
Placements: Students with no backlogs and a score above 6 CGPA can easily get an internship with a good salary. The average package is 3.5 LPA, the highest is 9 LPA, and the lowest is 1.2 LPA. Companies like TCS, Infosys and TatvaSoft have ties with the college. Most of the students get internships. My course offers roles like VLSI and Embedded Systems Engineering.
Infrastructure: There are 2 labs both have ACs and Acer computers with AMD Ryzen 5000 series. Wi-Fi is available but only for staff and lab purposes. The computers are powerful enough to run 3D Modelling (moderate). There's a common library available for all students on campus. The canteen is very satisfactory and clean. There's a hall with a 10 ton AC which is under construction right now.
Faculty: Teachers are always ready to help whenever they're available or free. They have better knowledge than any other professional people I've seen on YouTube. The course they teach us is very relevant and it does make students industry-ready. Talking about semester exams they are taken by GTU so the college does not have the power to make papers.
Other: Just don't argue with professors if you're not sure about the topic you are arguing about. Accept your faults and mistakes. If you need anything from the lab for your projects, you can use the laboratory and its tools to make your projects. You can just ask your respective professor to get a permit to use it.

Good academics and campus at Government Engineering College Patan, with average placements.
Placements: I was an ECE student from the Government Engineering College, Patan. Around 70% students were placed. The highest package was 10 LPA, the lowest was 2.5 LPA, and the average was 4-5 LPA. Top recruiters included TCS and Infosys. About 60% got internships in BSNL. Top roles offered were Developer and Engineer.
Infrastructure: At Government Engineering College Patan, ECE had good labs, Wi-Fi, smart classrooms, and a rich library. Hostel facilities were decent, and the mess food was average. Basic medical support was available, and sports like cricket and football were provided. This is the best college.
Faculty: At Government Engineering College Patan, teachers were qualified and helpful, with good teaching quality. The course curriculum was relevant and industry-oriented, with a pass percentage of around 80-85%. Teachers were very knowledgeable in teaching methods and easy to understand.
Other: At Government Engineering College Patan, I chose ECE for core + software scope. The best part was practical learning and opportunities. Fests and activities were good. The campus was decent, but placements and infrastructure can be improved.

Faculty are highly qualified, and experience is above 15 years.
Placements: Average placement is 5 Lacs per annum generally in the computer Science department. The college placement depends on you because your output plays a major role in the placement. The minimum requirement is that you pass without a backlog in all semesters during the 4-year duration.
Infrastructure: Good? In my college, Wi-Fi is available outside, but in the library, it is not connected with the other departments, so it is not helpful for all students. Classrooms are not updated with the technology, and while the college facilities are plentiful, many students do not use them properly.
Faculty: The whole faculty is helping with the other additional exam like a GATE. We look at the other government college professors who do not take all lectures in the day, but in GEC Patan, all professors are serious about the lectures and give their best, and professors encourage preparation for other exams.
Other: The return on investment is high.

Overall this college is not very good I would not recommend others to come in this college
Placements: Frontend Developer, Backend Developer, Full Stack developer, Business analytics, Jobs on basis of DSA, Web Development, App Developer, Companies Like Tatwa Soft, and so on are the roles offered. 100% placement are there as of here dozens companies come until every student is placed.
Infrastructure: Hostel is 10/30. Hostel food facilities are stopped since last one and half year due to tender not being passed even after so many complains. We don't have beds to sleep. We sleep on mattress by spreading on ground. There are less seats in our college and SC, ST students get first priority in hostel admission process.
Faculty: Teachers are genuinely good and supportive. They guide us whenever we need. I don't think course curriculum is relevant 100%. It's on us if we want to get industry ready, we have to develop skills by our own. Exams are not that difficult. As per my experience, we can clear exams even if study 2-3 days before exam.

Government Engineering College, Patan.
Placements: 70% of students got placement in my course. The maximum package is 9 LPA, the lowest package is 3 LPA, and the average package is 6 LPA. Every student in our department got an off-campus internship. There are many roles available, both in hardware and software.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available throughout the college, but you need to ask your faculty members for the password. There are 5 to 6 labs in my department, and classrooms are equipped with projectors. The library is housed in a separate building, accessible to students from all departments as per schedule. There are separate hostels for girls and boys, each with its own mess. The rooms and the campus are fully air-conditioned. Each room has a balcony, and there are three-sharing rooms with secured wardrobes, study tables and chairs, and beds. Wi-Fi is also available in the girls' hostel. Students in the hostel celebrate festivals and parties together, and the atmosphere is good. Ragging does not occur, and the security in the girls' hostel is also good. However, the boys' hostel is slightly messier compared to the girls' hostel.
Faculty: The faculty members are fully qualified in their respective domains and subjects; they hold Master’s degrees. They are also helpful in real-world applications apart from academics. Their teaching methods are good, but sometimes you need to complete the remaining syllabus on your own. This course has a substantial syllabus and many subjects, but you need to learn more to increase your overall package. End-term exams are conducted by GTU, making them harder than those at private universities, with an 80% passing percentage.
Other: I loved designing circuits and working on them, which is why I chose electronics and communication. The best thing about this course is the high demand for EC engineers, so if you have potential and interest, go for it. It would be great if some current technologies were included in the course, benefiting both students and the industry. Events and fests occur in college, and several clubs and societies run by students, such as NSS, Code Hives, Cultural Committee, and Sports Committee, are active. Many students participate in national events from the college. There are various scholarships available. For the general category, there is Digital Gujarat, and students from SC, ST, and OBC categories receive scholarships ranging from 25k to 30k INR. Other scholarships are available for students whose fathers work in sectors related to home making (e.g., furniture), providing scholarships of 25k INR.
