GEC BE Eligibility & Highlights 2025
GEC BE courses are four year courses that are offered in fulltime mode only. BE at GEC is available in six different specialisations including Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Computer Science. Candidates who wish to gain GEC BE admissions need to appear for the JEE entrance exam and clear it with an appropriate rank. On top of the aforementioned selection criteria, candidates are also required to fulfill the eligibility criteria tabulated below to gain admissions into BE courses at GEC:

All students of GEC BE courses are eligible to apply for GEC scholarships. At GEC, 50% of the scholarships on offer are reserved for female students. Female students who are atleast the age of 20 years with a family income of INR 2 LPA or less with appropriate scores in the JEE mains and Class 12 boardexams are eligible for scholarships.

GEC BE Admission Dates 2025
GEC BE admission dates follow the dates of the JEE entrance exam. The performance of a candidate in the JEE entrance exam is used to decide their seat allotment in the BE courses at GEC. Candidates can register for the JEE entrance exam starting from the month of November with the deadline scheduled at the end of the same month. GEC BE Admissions 2025: How to Apply?
The GEC BE course admissions are based solely on the performance of a candidate in the JEE entrance exam. All BE courses have the same selection criteria during GEC admissions. Candidates need to prepare their Class 12 science stream syllabus thoroughly as all the subjects in Class 12 science stream are a part of JEE exam syllabus. The GEC BE application process has been described in the table below:
STEP 1: Registration for the JEE Exam
To start the registration process for the BE admissions at GEC, candidates first need to register for the JEE mains exam. The JEE mains exam can be registered for by visiting the official portal for the JEE exam (https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/). Once on the website, candidates can access the registration form for the JEE exam by clicking on the notice declaring the commencement of the JEE exam for that particular year. Candidates then need to fill the registration form and then submit it along with a registration fee.
STEP 2: The GEC BE Admission Process 2025
After the canddidates have appeared for and cleared the JEE Mains exam, they will be called for JoSAA counseling rounds. Here, the candidates will be locking their choices for BE colleges. Candidates interested in joining the GEC BE courses will need to choose the GEC under the Gujarat Technological University as their choice. After that, candidates will be proceeded to the final steps of the admission process.
STEP 3: Confirmation of BE Admissions
Once the candidate has locked their choices during the JoSAA counseling, candidates only need to fill the admission form for BE at GEC and submit the GEC BE application fee. After candidates have been alloted their seats in their selected courses, they will be required to pay the course fees for BE admissions at GEC. The GEC BE admission fee for the year 2025 is currently unknown.
