Review of Government Engineering College Sreekrishnapuram.
Placements: Government Engineering College Sreekrishnapuram has placements in top companies like TCS, IBM, etc. Companies visit the college regularly. The department has maintained a good placement history over the past years and creates a good environment to explore how the industry works.
Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure. It has a separate block for electrical engineering and other departments like computer science, information technology, civil engineering, electrical and communication, and mechanical engineering located in the main block. It even has its own canteen.
Faculty: The college has good faculty members in all departments, most of whom have completed their Ph.D. All faculty members have a strong ability to prepare students for semester exams. Series exams are conducted properly at the correct times, and the entire syllabus is completed before the semester exams arrive.

A government engineering college with improved facilities and above-average teaching quality.
Placements: About 30-35 percent of students get placed each year. The highest salary package offered is 6 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA, and the average package offered in my course is 4 LPA. Most of the top recruiting companies are new startups. About 60 percent of students get internships from startups. The top role offered is a design engineer.
Infrastructure: Labs and workshops are available. College Wi-Fi is available only for laptop users. Classrooms have a projector. The department library is also available. Government hostels are available for both girls and boys. The hostel mess and food are average. Canteen food is average but affordable. First aid medical support is available in the college itself, and if needed, the hospital is nearby. Many sports and games are available, like football, cricket, volleyball, basketball, kho-kho, handball, kabbadi, karate, etc.
Faculty: The teaching quality of most teachers is average, but there are teachers who teach wonderfully. They all are qualified. In our scheme (2024 scheme), the course curriculum became the most relevant and cunning. In this curriculum, there are some irrelevant topics and subjects, but there are also subjects that are very relevant and important. It makes students industry-ready for about 60-65 percent. Semester exams are not very difficult (about 60 percent difficult). In my batch, the pass percentage is 60-65 percent.

If you get a good company, it will be the happiest place..
Placements: If you have a CGPA greater than 7.5, you have a great probability of getting a placement. The highest package is about 10 LPA, but the average package is about 3–6 LPA. The main recruiting companies are TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, and some others. Most of the students do internships in their 3rd and 4th years. Through this course, you will have opportunities to get jobs in cybersecurity, web development, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not bad. It has a natural ambiance. Even though it doesn’t have a large area, it gives a good vibe. If you have a good company, it creates good memories. The labs, classrooms, and library are good, but the Wi-Fi is very poor. Hostels are pretty good, and the college canteen is decent.
Faculty: The faculty members are good, and some of them give friendly vibes. You will have many video lectures on YouTube, so you can study from there. The curriculum is very vast, sometimes you can’t cover everything as it is very broad. When it comes to exams, it is also not very easy sometimes.

Nice college with good vibes, but not good in practicals. Placements are good in 2023 and 2024.
Placements: Only 40% of students get placed in my course. The top recruiting companies are Phoenix World of Engineering, Creative Designs, Paradigm, and Centre for Social and Resource Development. Top roles are site engineer, design engineer, structural engineer, and junior engineer. The average package offered is 6 LPA, with the highest being 14 LPA and the lowest being 2 LPA. Around 60% of students get internships.
Infrastructure: I study civil engineering at my college. Facilities in the civil engineering course are limited, with fewer lab equipment, only one or two permanent teachers, and no proper Wi-Fi. Classrooms are good with projectors. The library is air-conditioned with a silent environment and many books. The hostel is very nice, but the food is not good, especially breakfast. Medical facilities are good. There are many grounds for sports and games.
Faculty: Teachers are less helpful during exams, but they are knowledgeable and very strict. Teachers are well qualified, and the curriculum is relevant to the civil engineering course. It makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are very tough. The pass percentage of the college is 75%.
Other: I choose this course because I love construction work, design, and plan drawing. I want the subjects of my course to improve. There are many programs in the college, and the seniors and teachers are very friendly.

The ground reality of campus life, academics, and placement opportunities.
Placements: In my college, campus placements are fairly good in the software field. Students from any branch are eligible to apply. Companies such as TCS, Grandtley Edutech, and sometimes Infosys conduct campus recruitment. Approximately 50–60% of students get placed through campus placements. Many of these roles are not high-quality positions. Most students are offered jobs such as call-center or small tutoring positions rather than technical engineering roles. The maximum salary package is about 10 LPA, while the minimum is around Rs. 18,000 per month. In Electronics and Communication Engineering, companies like Calvi and Sensor Vision IoT visit, but placements are very low.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is free for all students for one device. Labs are good and well-structured. The library is also very good, with enough books for reference and a vast collection of various subjects. Hostel facilities depend on the hostel. The government hostel has only a few rooms, so others take private hostels. Canteen food is quite good at cheap rates.
Faculty: Teachers are good. Semester exams are conducted by Kerala Technical University. The pass percentage is 75–85%. The course curriculum is updated compared to the 2019 scheme. The 2024 curriculum was good if students follow it and study according to it.
Other: I chose Electronics and Communication Engineering because I have a good interest in Electronics rather than software. I wish the course had more practical content than theoretical. There are several events and fests in the college, with Invento being an upcoming one. Several technical and non-technical clubs help students stay connected. The campus is located in a remote area but is easily accessible and has a very eco-friendly environment.

GECSKP is a peaceful college with so much fun and activities.
Placements: Most of the students in our college have been placed with a reasonable package. Speaking purely for Mechanical Engineering, we have companies like L&T Infotech, Siemens, SP International, Torry-Harries, UST Global, IBM, and HP (Hardware Division).
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are good. Our college has functional and well-maintained lab facilities. It also has a peaceful environment compared to the city's rush. As for medical emergencies, there are three hospitals near our college. Along with academic studies, our college also encourages us in sports and games.
Faculty: Faculty members are so helpful and friendly. They are patient enough to repeat a topic to clarify our doubts on any topic. With their help and a little effort, it is very easy to score well in our semester exams. The curriculum is well-refined, making the student industry-ready.
