Placements are not good here.
Placements: Around 25% of students got placed. The salary package offered is Rs. 15000 per month, with companies like MRF and Sinon, etc. visiting for placements. Placement opportunities are average. The highest salary package offered is 2 LPA. Majority of students didn’t get placed, except a few. The issue from department end.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the course and department is below average. There is no Wi-Fi facility, and classrooms are not clean. Bathrooms are also not clean. The library is good, and many books are available to study. The library is clean, neat and peaceful.
Faculty: A few teachers are not good.. Course curriculum is not good, and there are no good skills taught to the students. Semester exams are very tough because the pass percentage is low. This is due to the curriculum not being effective. The average percentage of passed students is low.
Other: I chose this course because the future depends on electricity and electronics, offering a better future. Course curriculum focuses more on practical activities.

College with good placements and is surrounded with good nature around.
Placements: More than 70% of the students got placement. The highest salary package offered is 17 LPA. The average salary package offered is 9 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies included MRF, Malabar Cements, Saint Gobain, and KINFRA. More than 50% of the students received internship opportunities from companies like BPL, Samsung, and Power Electrical. Top roles offered included electrical engineer, system embedded engineer, and solar engineer.
Infrastructure: Our college has free Wi-Fi all over the campus, provided by the college authorities. Classrooms are well-maintained, and teaching methods are modern, incorporating new technology and ideas. The library space is very large, with a long hallway filled with plenty of books and ample space. There is also an open gym and a big ground.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and good. They are well-qualified, well-trained, experienced, knowledgeable, and always ready to help, clearing any doubts. In terms of teaching quality, they are excellent. They take their time, try to understand each student and follow an effective teaching process. But, Actually, I am from 2021 batch , and in my personal opinion, the topics and curriculum could be improved. We need to explore and study the latest developments. Semester exams are not difficult for me, they are quite simple. If we study, we can easily pass and achieve good grades.
Other: I mainly chose this course because of its good publicity, the training activities conducted in previous years, and high placement percentage. I would say that improvements are needed. Currently, I am studying under the 2021 revision scheme, but industry technology is advancing quickly, and I need to study the latest developments. Curriculum needs to be updated with the latest knowledge. Several events take place in college, and festivals are celebrated, including Onam, Vishu, Pongal, Christmas, and many more. The campus is always crowded, giving it a vibrant and energetic atmosphere. There are several scholarship programs available, such as SC/ST scholarships, merit-cum-means scholarships, EWS scholarships, and more. Extracurricular activities include sports, arts, NCC, NSS, and Red Cross.

Our college is okay for the course.
Placements: In our college, only 70 students are allotted in a department. Only 5-6% of students get placed with an average salary package of 4 LPA. companies who provide placements provide a salary package ranging from 1 LPA - 14 LPA. Top recruiting companies are MRF and Schneider Electric. Students get offers as analog digital and design engineers.
Infrastructure: Our college has Wi-Fi, a library, a workshop, a lab, a computer lab, an IT lab, etc. Old labs are in good maintenance. A hostel facility is available. It provides food. There are no medical facilities. Sports and games are held every semester. A canteen is available with good food at low cost for students.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Every staff has different teaching qualities. Only some of the polytechnic courses have more than five departments so this is relevant and makes students industry-ready. Semester exams in this college are very difficult. Around 75% of students pass.

Well satisfied with the good fee structure, placements, and college atmosphere.
Placements: Almost 70% of students got placement last year. The highest package of annual income is 9 lakh, and the lowest is 1.5 lakh per annum. MRF, SAINT GOBIN, MALABAR CEMENTS, KINFRA are the well-reputed companies here for placement. Almost 90% of the students got internships, mainly in our district, such as MALABAR CEMENT, GAYATHRI RICE MILL, and I went to Indsil Power Plant. From bottom to top, we got offers.
Infrastructure: The college doesn't have properly speed Wi-Fi. The classroom is neat and clean, with projectors and good efficient teaching methods. The college has a good library, and the building is large with good space. The availability of books is also good. Hostel facilities are average, and the food is also average. The canteen is good with good quality food. There is a medical room (but I have never seen it opened). They offer good support for sports and athletics.
Faculty: The teachers are very good and helpful to us. They are well-qualified and experienced staff members. The teaching method is also good and efficient. Yes, the course curriculum is top-tier and good. The semester exams are actually simple for me; they are not that tough. Out of 75 marks, we need 30 marks to pass, so 30% is the pass mark.
Other: I mainly chose this course for job opportunities, the well-reputed history, and the good environment of the college. My course is Electrical and Electronic Engineering, which has high scope abroad, and I like it. We are studying the 2021 revision, so I need the updated version, and the technology should be improved. Most of the events in the college are awesome, well-organized, and on a large scale. Celebrations also include DJ nights, and the campus is always crowded, giving the real campus vibe. Since the college is in the city, all facilities, travel, and everything are good. The campus surroundings are clean, neat, and safe. There are several scholarship programs available, including SC/ST scholarships, EWS scholarships, and merit-cum-means scholarships.

Review of Government Polytechnic College, Palakkd.
Placements: Around 40 students got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered in electrical and electronics diploma was 3.5 LPA. The average salary package offered was 2.5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 1.5 LPA. Recruiting companies were MRF, Tata, and the top roles offered in the electrical course were supervisor, trainer, and also can apply in B.Tech.
Infrastructure: There was no Wi-Fi facility in this college, but it provides good laboratories, eco-friendly classrooms, supportive staff, a big campus, and friendly staff. The hostel was good, and the canteen was also good. The ground provided in the college was good and provides big ground for football, cricket, volleyball, and tennis, as well as an additional ground for tennis.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality was good. All the knowledge was available from the college like arts, sports, and study materials, and easy for students because the teachers make them simple and comfortable for students.
Other: Everything was connected to electricity. So I connected myself to electrical and electronics engineering, and also I opted for this course, because of its good scope. Events were good at peak level.
