My honest review of Government Polytechnic, Warangal.

Placements: Since it is a government college, the placements are a little fewer, but the students from there have tried and got placed in several local companies. The placement cell is also not that effective in getting various placements to the college for civil engineers especially.

Infrastructure: Since it is an old college, at least 65 years old, the infrastructure is not that good. But it is comparatively good from other private colleges. Though the facilities are not up to the mark, they are worth using for the time being due to no other way.

Faculty: The faculty there are very experienced, each having at least an experience of over 25 years in their respective field of study. The senior faculty are very good in terms of teaching as well as giving practical experience on the field. The classes are very knowledge-oriented.

This college is best for studies and placements.

Placements: Around 50% of students were placed in our course. The highest salary package offered was 3 LPA. The lowest salary pacakge offered was 2 LPA. The average salary pacakge offered was 2.8 LPA. The top recruiting companies were Athena, My Homes Construction, etc. Almost 30% of students got internships from our course in the above companies. The roles offered were assistant engineer, site engineer, etc.

Infrastructure: In our college, there were a lot of facilities like students can manage duties in all ways, Wi-Fi was enabled 24X7, full complement equipment with experienced teachers, and classrooms were better. The students can get any type of book in our library, and there were a lot of books from the past 30 years.

Faculty: Teachers were supported and highly qualified. They were from top IIT colleges and when coming to teaching quality they practically explain every detail thing. The semester exams were tough as compared to the books, and exams were conducted very strictly by self-centers. The minimum pass percentage was 60%.

Candidate should be a citizen of India. Candidates must have passed 10th level Examination conducted by State Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana or another examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Board of Secondary Education, A.P/TS. such as Central Board of SecondaryEducation (CBSE), Indian Council for Secondary Education (ICSE), National Institute of Open School (NIOS), Telangana Open School Society (TOSS), A.P. Open School Society (APOSS), X class examination conducted by various State Boards of Secondary Education in India with Mathematics as one of the subjects, and obtained at least 35% marks in the qualifying examination. Candidates must have passed in all subjects including Mathematics, Biology, Physics, Chemistry with a minimum of 35% Marks in each subject. Candidates who appeared or are appearing for 10th or equivalent examination being held in March/April-2024, and whose results are yet to be declared can also appear for POLYCET-2024. There is no age restriction for appearing for POLYCET-2024. Working Employee candidate should bring NOC from the respective organizations.
