Step 1: GNIOT Application Form
Candidates seeking admission to PGDM course at GNIOT must fill an online application form in either online or offline mode. Along with that, candidates have to pay an application fee of INR 1,200 either through credit card, debit card or net banking.
Step 2: Selection Rounds
GNIOT course admissions such as BBA, BCA, MCA, etc are based on academic records of the previous qualifying exam, followed by UPTAC counselling. Furthermore, for admission to the BTech course, candidates either need to qualify for the JEE Main/ CUET UG or GNIOT Online Test.
Similarly, GNIOT Noida admission for PGDM courses is entirely entrance-based. Eligible candidates are selected based on scores of either CMAT/ CAT/XAT/MAT/GMAT and GIMS Aptitude Test (GAT). The final selection is based on the performance of candidates in Group Discussions and Personal Interview rounds. GIMS admission panel as appointed by the director for the particular academic year. This test will be optional for the students who have more than 60 percentile in CMAT/CAT/XAT/ GMAT or above 75 in MAT but mandatory if the candidate wants to avail GIMS scholarship. However, it will be mandatory for the candidate to appear for all the other stages of the selection process.
4. Group Discussion/ Essay Round
The students who qualify for GAT, CMAT/CAT/XAT/MAT or GMAT would be invited for Group Discussion on the campus or Zoom Platform. The topic of discussion will be provided by a panelist or a group of panelists.Students who qualify Group Discussion will be eligible for the next round. Essay Round (Written) will be conducted, where conducting GD is not possible.
5. Personal Interview / Presentation Shortlisted candidates after Group Discussion will have to face either of the following:
• Personal Interview (Face to face or Zoom)
• Presentation (Student will have to prepare and give a PowerPoint presentation on a topic given)
6. Final Selection
Final Selection will be based on the decision of a panelist or a group of panelists.
The selection list is based on a composite score, which takes into account the applicant’s profile, academic record, entrance test scores MAT/CAT/XAT/MAT/GMAT or GIMS Aptitude Test (GAT), performance in the Group Discussion and Interview / Presentation/Essay Round.

For last year, the closing rank for BTech in Electrical Engineering was 422516 which is very close to this range. This was for the General category under the All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cutoffs keep changing year on year, it is advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission to Greater Noida Institute of Technology.
