Dissatisfied because of the placement but they really have good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Above 50% of students got placed in our course. Many companies come for placement recruiting at our college. But most of them are not my department-based companies but some companies offer medical representative posts for students, where some students get placed. The top roles offered for my course are quality control and quality assurance posts.
Infrastructure: They provide good infrastructure for B.Sc. biotechnology course. Our labs are well-maintained. They have all the required instruments. All the required chemicals are available in the lab. The class facility is also neat and comfortable for students.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable. They are very kind to the students. They give very comfortable space to students to clear their doubts and help all the students to score good marks. The course is curriculum relevant and it definitely makes students ready for the industry. The semester exams are not that much difficult. If we cover the whole syllabus, it is easy to score good marks. The pass percentage is 35%.
Other: I am interested in the research field so I landed up in the course. I have learned a lot. The best thing about the course in my college is that we can also spend time in the lab after college hours and can practice instruments and practicals in the lab. In my college, they conduct more events and they celebrate Women's Day more especially. There are more extracurricular activities.

Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) - Batch of 2026

A good college for arts and science students is welcomed to Guru Nanak College.
Placements: Our college placements are above average. There are many colleges for arts and science in Tamilnadu. The highest package ranges from 4-8 LPA, and the lowest package is 1.2 LPA at Gurunanak College of Arts and Science.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is not that nice when compared to other engineering or arts and science colleges.
Faculty: Courses in the Guru Nanak College of Arts and Science are easy, and people used to say that arts and science are the easiest ones to study. However, it is not as easy as it is, but compared to engineering courses we art students don't have to pressure that much. Some faculty members are friendly and some of them are strict. Overall, the faculty members experience is nice, and they are helpful for students.

A college with good infrastructure but poor faculty members.
Placements: The percentage of students who got placed is very low. The highest package is 2-3 LPA for our department. Recruiting companies are Accenture, Cognizant, HDFC, and many more. The jobs which is offered are more likely junior roles, my seniors mostly got junior roles with approximately 2 LPA to 3 LPA packages.
Infrastructure: To be honest, the content that is being taught to us is very outdated and so are the professors. Whereas hostel is very poorly managed, most of my friends shifted from college hostels to private PGs. Food is horrible and no sports activities are conducted.
Faculty: Teachers in our department are very poor, to be honest, the quality of teaching is very poor. I feel that I know more than them. Course curriculum which is being taught is also very outdated. Since the curriculum is very outdated, it is very easy to score good marks.

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) - Batch of 2023

It has a crazy and the best college life with lovely infrastructure and an NCC history of 51 years.
Placements: Our college invited nice companies and they had a job fair too. From my batch, one student got a package that ranges from 4.5-5 LPA but the training was given.
Infrastructure: It is in the middle of the city (Chennai), still it is very greenery. All classrooms have projectors and good benches. I love the college as it is nice. It has a huge cricket ground where sometimes national players come and practice. Now, they have built a shooting range for NCC students. Facilities are good here.
Faculty: All teachers are supportive. The course curriculum is very good. Now I am doing an MBA in a different college but still what I learned in BBA is helping me a lot. I was very busy with other courses and not able to attend the class so teachers helped me a lot. Teachers are very supportive I still remember my teacher her name is Suba mam from BBA, and she is a very good teacher. She is very scary but very pure from the heart. Thanks to her and her guidance I am able to get a good placement. I really learned a lot and I have an NCC course, so I missed my class. However, still, the Guru Nanak College teachers helped me to score high marks.
Other: It has a crazy NCC team. If we want a nice and challenging life, then we can join NCC. I was also a part of that NCC and I made lots of memories.

Balanced academics, good placements, and vibrant campus life at GNC.
Placements: At Guru Nanak College, 85% of students are placed. The highest package is 10 LPA, the lowest is 2.5 LPA, and the average is 4.5 LPA. The top recruiters include TCS, Infosys, and Wipro. 70% of students secure internships in companies like HCL and Zoho. Roles offered are Analyst, Developer, and HR.
Infrastructure: Guru Nanak College offers Wi-Fi-enabled smart classrooms, well-equipped labs, a rich library, and modern seminar halls. Hostels are clean and have good amenities. The mess and canteen serve hygienic food. The medical care is available on campus. Excellent sports and game facilities are provided.
Faculty: Teachers at Guru Nanak College are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, offering strong academic support. The curriculum is relevant and aligns with industry needs. The semester exams are moderately difficult, with a high pass percentage of around 85%, ensuring good success.
Other: Chose the course for strong career scope and quality teaching. The best parts are practical learning and experienced faculty. Improvement is needed in advanced teaching exposure. The campus hosts vibrant fests, a diverse crowd, good transport links, peaceful surroundings, scholarships, and active clubs.

An honest review of GNC Chennai.
Placements: I'm a third-year student, and so far the only companies that have visited our campus are Accenture and TCS. The list of students applying for jobs at these companies is low because they want people to work on systems that are irrelevant to the skills we've learned in our coursework.
Infrastructure: The curriculum is well structured, but some minor tweaks could make it even better. The wifi is poor. The students' free wifi is only for show, as it never works. Some classrooms have smart class features. The library is okay, but the computers are always broken.
Faculty: The faculty is mediocre, but some of them are knowledgeable. The curriculum is relevant but needs some changes to keep up with modern trends. Semester exams are fairly easy with the most basic preparations, a student can pass. However, many students fail their semester exams.
Other: There are no fests in the college. Events are limited. If you are a sports student you can consider this college because that's the only thing this college takes seriously.
