Q:   Does SRM Ramapuram accept MAT score?
A: 

RM Ramapuram accepts MAT scores for admission to its management programs. The admission process involves the SRM Joint Entrance Examination for Management (SRMJEEM) followed by a personal interview. Students with eligible entrance scores in CAT/SAT/MAT/GMAT/NMAT/CMAT/TANCET may also apply for admission. The minimum acceptable MAT score for 2017/2018 is 450 out of 800.

Q:   What is the fees of SRM for BTech?
A: 

The total fees of BTech ranges between INR 5 Lacs and INR 18 Lacs as per an official source. The fee, includes the integrated M.Tech fee as well. Candidates are required to pay the course fee after completion of all the selection rounds to confirm their seats. In case, a candidate is unable to pay the fee within the specified time, his or her admission will stand cancelled. Candidates will also require to pay a registration fee to apply for admission.

Q:   Does SRM Ramapuram accept the JEE Mains score?
A: 
Yes, SRM Ramapuram accept the JEE Mains score. Candidates who have not given the entrance exams conducted by the university such as SRMJEEE (UG), SRMJEEE (PG) and can get admission through the JEE Main score, Moreover, apart from entrance exams, candidates need to fulfil the eligibility criteria for admissions. Further, the final admission process include seat allotment through an e-Counselling process.

Review of SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai - Ramapuram Campus.
Placements: Actually, my college placements are good. The highest package is 48 LPA, and the average package ranges from 7-9 LPA. The lowest package is 4 LPA. Mostly, IT companies visit our college, and the core companies that visit are comparatively low. Most companies like TCS, Wipro, Microsoft, Honeywell, etc., hire students.
Infrastructure: SRM University Ramapuram hostel is good, but the hostel fee is very high. Many other state students are there in the hostel. The infrastructure is too good. It has a digital library. Labs are very equipped, but Wi-Fi is not available on campus. The hostel food is average, but the canteen is very good.
Faculty: SRM University's curriculum is totally different, with 60 marks internal exams conducted for M1, M2, and practical marks, and the external exam is for 40 marks. College faculty members are knowledgeable and helpful for placements. Yearly, twice, industrial visits are conducted. Staff members are very helpful with placements.

Good learning with good placements. Infrastructure is good, core jobs are limited, overall good.
Placements: I am from the department of MS and about 70% of students got placed from the department every year. The highest package is offered. Many top recruiting companies visit our course. Most of our students are attending the placements, and top roles like testing, manager, etc., are offered.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure and facilities are good. A campus with a green environment is available. Infrastructure like labs and library is fully equipped with air-conditioners. The hostel facilities are average, and the food is better than average. Sports are conducted once a year.
Faculty: In our department, the staff are trained and well-qualified. The teaching is good, and the curriculum is similar and relevant to us. The semesters are conducted by the universities, so it might be a little tough, and the percentage has decreased for many students.
Other: The reason for choosing this course is that it is a leading course and has high value, and everything has improved. Events and Symposiums are conducted every semester.

SRM Ramapuram in a nutshell.
Placements: Most of my classmates got placed this year, which is a surprising case. Electronics and other core groups don't get placed as much as CSE. The highest package offered is 17 LPA. The lowest is 3.6 LPA by TCS. Internship certificates are compulsory.
Infrastructure: Labs are not very well-equipped and the few equipment they have, don't work. AC labs are non-existent for electronics. I heard the computer labs are decent. We never had a chance to try. I am a day scholar, so I can't speak for the hostelers.
Faculty: Teachers are always a hit or miss. Some are very passionate and easy to approach. They are understanding. They are the best part of coming to college. One female assistant lecturer in electronics is very hostile and is very racist. Most are doing it for the money.

My review about this college.
Placements: The placements and job opportunities at SRM are superb. Those students who have good academics and have 60% throughout their academics. They can get a huge number of companies listed for placement few companies that came to provide internships to students. A few of them are TCS and L&T. All the top IT companies visited and most of the students got placed. The packages are common for any student who gets hired i.e. 4.2 LPA. The companies that come to campus placements include top MNCs like TCS, Accenture, and Facebook. Companies like GE, Flipkart, and Amazon are also hiring.
Infrastructure: The hostels are well sufficed with proper electricity, water supply, and great hygiene. The room sharing includes 3 members and it helps in maintaining a cordial and friendly atmosphere. The mess food is also of good quality and hygiene is prioritized as an important factor.
Faculty: They provide course curriculum, subjects are fine, electives are programming in C, C+, data structure and algorithm, java or Dot Net, computer mathematics, artificial intelligence, computer network, computer graphics, robotics, organizational behavior, data mining, etc. The faculty is good, they are approachable and knowledgeable. The overall faculty in core subjects is good. However, the teaching methodology could be improved. Many of the faculty are involved in research work and they also help students as mentors. The majority of the faculty are highly qualified and many of them hold the ultimate Ph.D. degree in their respective fields. Exam structure makes you well-prepared for the main university exam and structure is like. 2 cycle tests, 1 model exam, and 1 university exam so it's a bit busy schedule to deal with and hence help you study well.

You have to build your own skillset.
Placements: As compared to the previous years, the rate of placements has dropped. High salary packages have drastically decreased. College isn't providing skills up to the mark. The fee is more than 3 lakhs per year, but you won't get a guaranteed placement. It's true that many companies do visit SRM but the employers need skills that you won't have if you depend on the college.
Infrastructure: As per the fees you are paying (3 lakhs + in my case which has increased now), you won't be satisfied with the infrastructure. There is no AC in the classrooms. Most of the old labs don't have proper air-conditioned systems and desktops (new ones have as of now).
Faculty: The curriculum and syllabus are interesting and seem as per the industry standards with some real life implementation. But most of the faculty members don't teach properly. Most of them don't even have proper subject knowledge. But the good thing is they would award you good marks if you manage to write something relatable, so if you put in a little effort also you would be able to make a good to go CGPA (of course there are some irritating faculty members who won't bother about your CGPA, but thankfully they are very less).
Other: Don't have such a good campus life. For a good campus life, it's better you go to the Katagulantur campus. CSBS is a good course if you want to have technical knowledge along with some business insights. If you work hard without being dependent on the university and not expecting anything from the university, you will end up with something very good.

I am really dissatisfied about the placement this year enrollment in placement is forced.
Placements: This year, only 23% of the MCA students got placed using placement. This year they left us changing alone; they weren't even scared about placement students. And the officer didn't even respond to us properly with the placement. We got separated as above 60% and below 60%. Initially, what they said was like we will get a lot of company for both above and below 60%. They said we will get a minimum 25 companies for below 60%. But in the reality for the below 60%, we hardly got like 7 to 8 companies, and half of them were not core jobs. And for the above 60%, they hardly got 30 companies, and half of them were BPO and business development associate jobs. If we complain about the placement, we didn't even get a proper response, and the placement officer asked us to help with the placement and told us to ask us in the company we did an internship to come to our campus and provide us with placement.
Infrastructure: The campus facilities are really good for the money we pay; labs are fully provided with computers, AC and free Wi-Fi. There were no sports provided on the campus. The medical facilities are high in cost and the classrooms are not provided with the latest classrooms. The quality of the facilities is full filling at a certain point. The food they provide is decent and the few foods they provide are really good.
Faculty: Few teachers are very helpful and few staffs are not up to the point. Some staffs are not good with English and find it hard to communicate and they dominate the student and do not even hear us out in few cases. The exam difficulty is moderate and if we study properly, we cant get good marks .
Other: I chose this course for placement. The best thing about my course is the few good faculty we got. I wish the course taught us more about the core and helped us to improve more. Events are conducted most of the time so it might be more entertaining than studying.
