All the latest updates regarding GNITadmissions are as follows:
- The TG EAPCET 2026 registration portal remains open until April 15, 2026 (with a late fee of INR 500) for admission to the BPharma and BE/BTech courses. The BPharma entrance exam is scheduled for May 4 and May 5, 2026, while the BE/BTech exams will take place from May 9 to May 11, 2026.
- The TG ICET 2026 registration portal is active till Apr 15, 2026, with a late fee of INR 250 for admission to the MCA and MBA courses. The TG ICET exam 2026 is going to take place on May 13 and May 14, 2026.
- The GATE COAP 2026 registration link is active for admission to the ME/MTech programmes. The GATE COAP 2026 round 1 window to view offers and make a decision will be opened on May 11, 2026 (10 AM).
- The JEE Main 2026 session 1 and session 2 exams have been concluded for admission to the BTech, BArch and BPlan courses. The results for session 2 might be announced on or before Apr 20, 2026.
- The HSTES 2026 counselling registration process for admission to the BTech course is expected to begin in June 2026.

GNIT Admission Process 2025
The GNIT admission process is mostly merit-based. To get a seat, students need to go through all the steps as per guidelines. GNIT offers UG and PG level courses. Candidates are shortlisted for the programmes based on their academic merit and past academic scores. The process starts with registration.

| MBA/PGDM | Candidate must have passed Bachelor Degree (BA / B.Com/ B.Sc/ BBA / BBM / BCA / BE / B.Tech / B. Pharmacy / Any 3 or 4 year Degree except Oriental Languages). Examinations of minimum three years duration with the mentioned marks (45 % marks in BC Category ) in aggregate from a recognised Institute/ University. The qualifying degree obtained by the Distance Mode Program/ Open Distance Learning (ODL) should have recognition by the Joint Committee of UGC, AICTE and DEC/DEB as per UGC Regulations of 2013. Final year appearing students may also apply on provisional basis. The minimum age of the candidates should be 19 years as on the date of notification (Candidates whose date of Birth up to 30th MARCH, 2004). No maximum age limit. |
| B.E. / B.Tech | Candidates who have passed or appeared at the final year of the Diploma examination in Engineering conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Telangana / Andhra Pradesh or any other examination recognised as equivalent thereto by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Telangana / Andhra Pradesh. Candidates should have completed 16 years of age, as on 31st December of the year of admission. There is no upper age limit. |

GNIT offers B.E. / B.Tech at the UG level. The course is offered via full time mode for a duration of 4 years. It can be challenging for students to get into the institute as the admisisons to popular courses like B.Tech & Mtech are entrance based. Students need valid score of exams like JEE Mains, GATE, etc. for admisisons. The cutoff can go high because of high competition & limited seats.
