An honest review of my college.
Placements: 60% of students are placed in our course. The highest package at our college is 12 LPA, and the average package is 5 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Airtel and Microsoft. Our college also has a Training and Placement Cell, but we don’t have any placement history records.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Classes are good, and we have Wi-Fi facility on every floor but only in the administrative departments. We have good and advanced labs with proper equipment. We don’t have a hostel on the college campus, but we have one outside the campus. Also, we have two canteens in our college, with sports and game facilities, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, highly qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is very best, and they are very supportive. The course curriculum is very relevant. We have three examinations in a semester Mid Sem 1, Mid Sem 2, and the End Sem. The end-semester exam is quite difficult, but the mid-semester exams seem easy.

It is a good college for anyone who wants be do engineering.
Placements: Its branch of B.Tech is an amazing course that provides good job opportunities. Many students got good internships. The student's culture is also good. Our shares campus with GTBIT which has an average package of 7 LPA -8 LPA. It is expected that our college will provide good placement opportunities.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is decent. There are no big problems with labs and classrooms. Our college is good in all aspects. It's a bit small but still provides all the necessary facilities. The canteen is good. There are various places where students can spend their time as well.
Faculty: Faculty members are super helpful and cooperative. Exams are also of decent level and are not hard to pass. Most of the students in my batch passed the first semester exams. The first-year course is the same for all branches and provides good knowledge of various engineering fields with subjects like engineering graphics, programming in C, manufacturing processes, etc.
Other: Students and seniors are good and supportive. Many extracurricular activities are held in our college.

It is a good college life with a small campus.
Placements: My college don't have single placement batch. As earlier it was a Polytechnic college but it is now open for degree programme. But we share same campus with gtbit which has average placement of 7-8 LPA. Our college inform us about internships and hope for good placements in future.
Infrastructure: My college has a small campus, but it has well-maintained and equipped labs and classrooms. The college does not have hostels, but hostels are easily available in nearby localities. Washrooms are clean, and classrooms are spacious, with a minimum seating capacity of 60 students.
Faculty: The faculty is hardworking and knowledgeable. They easily teach all topics to make them understandable for students. The teachers cover the course and also help students revise before the mid and end-semester exams. The pass percentage is 40%. Exams are held at regular intervals according to the academic curriculum of IPU.
Other: I choose this college because it is a college of IPU. The course is good, and some events and fests are organized in the college to keep students engaged while studying.

The biggest mistake of my life - 2024.
Placements: Our college was upgraded from a Polytechnic Institute (which used to have 3-year diploma courses) to a degree-level college in 2022. So there is no placement record in it. Companies like Microsoft, Google, etc., visit campus but for our neighboring college which is Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is poor. There is one building that has 10 lecture halls, 4 on 2nd floor and 6 on the fourth floor. The worst part is that there is no lift. Wi-Fi doesn't work here. In pic lab, computers are of old versions. Lecture halls are decent. Library is small but it's also decent.
Faculty: Faculty members of our college are great, especially physics faculty members, who is the best. They are highly experienced and supportive of students. Thank God, if one gets MS Vibha Jain as a physics teacher.
Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology is an IPU-affiliated college so exams are conducted according to the schedule of GGSIPU.

Guru Tegh Bahadur 4th Centenary Engineering College - Student review.
Placements: Around 70% of students got placed. The average salary package offered is about 5 LPA. Recruiting companies are Microsoft and Airtel. I do not have any idea regarding internships. Roles offered are web developer, etc. Right now, I don't know about it. I am in 1st year but seniors say don't depend on college for placements. This is what seniors say or I get to know from teachers and students of the college.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available on every floor in administrative rooms. Classrooms are old and desks are old like in school. Library is good and also reading hall is good. We have two canteens on campus. There is no hostel on campus. But outside the campus, there are many hostels.
Faculty: Teachers are good. They are supportive and solve our doubts. I can't say whether the course curriculum is relevant to industries or not because I am in first year. I have just studied Physics, Chemistry, Math, etc. Semester exams are very difficult, if we don't study the whole year. But if we studied well and attended the classes then it is moderate.

Do not ever take admission in this college unless you absolutely have to!
Placements: The placement cell of this college is rather new, and there is not a batch in this college that has graduated yet. The seniormost as of 2025 is the batch of the 3rd-year students, and since it is a B.Tech college, they will also be graduating the upcoming year. We as students are currently not very aware of the placements from this college, but as this institution is a part of GTBIT, our placement cell is the same. They told us that companies that would come to GTBIT would be the same ones that would come to our college.
Infrastructure: As our college is a joint establishment with GTBIT, we share the infrastructure too. Though we can go anywhere in the college, the actual GTB4CEC only comprises two floors in the whole land in which all the classrooms are. The building has 4 floors, but the other two floors are used as professors' cabins, that too of teachers of GTBIT. The professors of GTB4CEC reside in the basement. We do have a separate library, separate labs, EG rooms, and mechanical workshops, but the canteen and gym are the same. We are not allowed in GTBIT's library.
Faculty: The faculty is new, as GTBIT and GTB4CEC have different teachers, and when I say new, I don't mean they are new in this college. What I mean is they are new to teaching, they lack experience, and they cannot seem to establish that student-teacher bond from my perspective. The faculty is young and is getting too much involved with students or not at all. The involvement too I would say is temporary. For instance, my Maths teacher went out without our class to the malls and called on us for mass bunking.
Other: I chose this course because I am interested in teaching and wanted to explore how things work, how the laptop works, and what is going on in them at the backend. It gives me the opportunity to study what I like while studying my course, and that is what I wanted all my life. The fests are negligible and not very engaging too. It doesn't have much of anything. I believe the campus is small despite being an institution of two colleges.
