Saving the life of other students with creative abilities.
Placements: Ironically I don't even know whether there is a Placement department in this college. As far as I have known they don't even care 1% about whether you get placed or not, all they need is money. Once you pay the fees, complete the course you are on your own. I completed my college in July 2017 and I haven't got a single e-mail or call from placement department asking details about my Resume to help me get placed. Thanks to my widened knowledge I got placed in Bangalore in a reputed service based private organisation as Game Tester. I still speak with my senior batch mates who still try to find a good job with a better salary package. Most of my classmates and senior batch mates work for less than INR 2 Lacs CTC. Once you complete the course you are on your own. Internship was not arranged by college, I got my internship because I worked hard during my 2nd year and that helped me get placed as a Game Design Intern in a startup company in Chennai. I was not paid any kind.
Infrastructure: The whole college is a single building with 3 floors and once classroom is split with card boards to make room for more classrooms. No proper technical equipment are given in the college. I was working on a Virtual Reality, they don't have any kind of equipment that might have helped me to complete my project. No sports, no kind of medical facilities, Very small classrooms, the worst WI-fi connectivity ever used, Library in the size of a big washroom, etc. Are the facilities provided by the institution.
Faculty: At last coming to the best part of my review. If you guys want to learn something useful you can learn from Youtube tutorials rather than asking the faculty members in this college. Most of the faculty members in the college are under-qualified, with no kind of creative knowledge not coping up with the creativity of the students. All they care about is your fees. I was in Game Art and Design department. My department HOD was from 3D modelling background with no knowledge of Game Design and knows nothing about the most used software Unity and still he was the HOD of my department. For the first two years there were no faculty at all. This is like one ***. If you really wanna go with Game design and if you are creatively well, just please don't waste you life by joining this college like I did. I was the school topper in my 10th and 12th grade and I also pursued CA (Chartered Accountancy), but dropped it to pursue my passion towards Game Design and this is how this college (ICAT Design and Media College) spoiled my career.
Other: None of the things like Events, Fest, Scholarships were provided. This is total waste of money. I spent around 10 Lacs in total for College fee, Hostel fee all for nothing.

No, this college doesn't provide hostel facilities for girls as well as for boys. If you get admitted there you have to take PG to live there.

The fees for mechanical diploma for 3-4 year course is 60000 to 1 lakh. If you are getting a government college or if you have a private college then it should be more.
