The admission criteria of ICSI is quite simple, in all the levels could it be entrance (CSEET) Executive or Professional level below mentioned is the general criteria to be followed:
- You need to register your self for your specific level with adequate documents required such as 10 and 12th marksheet.

- You need to pay nominal fee as per you level for registration.
- Once you are registered you will receive a confirmation from the institute via mail.
- All the study material and supplements will be provided within a few months of registration and you can start your preparation accordingly.
- Basically for executive and professional level the exams are taken on half yearly basis i.e June and December and the entrance exams are taken frequently.
Candidates seeking admission shall first check the eligibility conditions. For the CS course, candidates need to take the CSEET entrance exam. The candidates applying after graduation are exempted from the entrance test but must meet the eligibility criteria. Further, to become a CS, candidates have to first take the CSEET exam or the CS executive exam and finally the CS professional exam. Additionally, a certificate course on the valuation of securities/financial assets is offered jointly by ICSI and ICSI RVO. Admission to this course is subject to fulfilment of eligibility criteria.

The cutoff marks for admission to ICSI Delhi is determined through the standard cutoff determination process which considers a lot of key factors such as:

Class 12th passed candidates must appear for the CSEET examination and score a minimum of 50% marks overall and 40% in each subject to qualify for the CS Executive examination.

The eligibility criteria for the CS foundation course is Class 12 or equivalent pass in any stream with 65% aggregate for economically backward students and 85% for academically bright candidates. While the executive course can be pursued by any candidate with a class 12 or equivalent exam pass certificate with the required aggregate/CS foundation programme pass/foundation exam pass of the institute of cost accountants of India/Common Proficiency Test (CPT) of ICAI, or Arts, Science, Commerce graduates/PG (excluding fine arts). Additionally, the applicant shall not be less than 17 years of age. Furthermore, for ICSI CS professional course can be only pursued by candidates who have cleared the CS executive exam. It must be noted that the Company Secretary courses cannot be pursued by candidates who have passed the qualifying exam in the fine arts stream.
After the online registration on ICSI and fee payment, the study material is provided to the students. Candidates get eight months to prepare for the entrance exam. In addition, it is compulsory for students to undergo seven days Student Induction Programme (SIP) within six months of registration and before appearing in the CS executive programme. After eight months of the course duration, the candidate can take the exam in any attempt (June or December). Admission to the course is valid for three years and hence, all the students must clear the CS foundation exam within the given period of time.
