IFMR Krea University Admission 2025: Fees, Eligibility, Last Dates & Selection Process

IFMR Chennai offers admission to candidates based on their entrance exam scores. Candidates need to have a valid score in CAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ GMAT/ GRE/ NMAT for MBA. Further, aspirants are also called for an online interview. Candidates willing to seek Executive MBA admission at IFMR GSB, need to appear for a written test carried out by IFMR GSB faculty, followed by a PI round at L&T Construction's offices all over India. For integrated and PhD courses, aspirants have to qualify for any one of the entrance exam such as IPMAT, SAT, Krea Aptitude Test and CAT, CMAT, GATE, etc., respectively.

IFMR Chennai admissions are currently open. Candidates can fill out the application form online on the institute's website. Aspirants have to pay INR 1,500 as the application fee. The institute offers admission to aspirants based on their entrance exam scores. Aspirants also have to pass interview round for admission to some of the programmes.

IFMR Chennai offers Integrated MBA programme at the UG level. Aspirants who have completed Class 12 can apply for UG programmes. The minimum aggregate required for Integrated MBA is 60%. Hence, aspirants with 75% in Class 12 can get admission provided they also meet the subject and selection requirements.

IFMR  Chennai admission is entirely entrance-basesd. The institute accepts various national-level entrance exams for admission. Candidates are requrired to qualify for any one of the respective entrance exam, followed by other selection rounds in order to get admission. IFMR Graduate School of Business offers a large diversity of courses to students in Management field. IFMR Graduate School of Business admissions are held on the basis of entrance tests. Students seeking course admissions must clear their previous qualifying examination and appear for any of the prescribed entrance exams such as NMAT, XAT, APICET, CAT, CMAT, SAT India, IPMAT, etc. Students can visit the official website to learn more regarding the course-wise eligibility and specialisation details.

The minimum cutoff for MBA at IFMR Chennai for 2023 is 75 percentile in CAT 2022 and 2023, a score of 220 in CMAT 2023, and 75 percentile in XAT 2023 and 2024. The GMAT score of 650 is also accepted for 2022, 2023, and 2024. The eligibility criteria for MBA 2024-26 include a minimum of 60% in Class X, Class XII, and UG. Work experience is not mandatory, and fresh graduates as well as candidates with work experience up to 36 months are eligible. The best score among the competitive exam scores given by the applicant will be considered subject to meeting the eligibility cutoff. IFMR Chennai considers a range of entrance exam scores for admitting students into its MBA program, and the cutoff percentile for the general category students was 93 percentile.

CMAT 2025 was on January 25, 2025, almost four months ahead of previous years. The CMAT exam is usually held in March-April, but in 2023 and 2024, it was held in May. The last time CMAT was held in January was in 2019.

The NTA announced registration dates via an official circular, which was released online on the NTA website on November 14, 2024. The CMAT 2025 exam schedule includes registration window open and close dates and form correction dates. CMAT 2025 registration has started, and the last date to apply was December 13, 2024, and the admit card was released on January 20, 2025.

IFMR Chennai BBA admission for the academic year 2024 is closed now. The BBA application portal usually opens in October and concludes in July. There are multiple rounds for application dealdlines with different dates for each round. The BBA application deadline for BBA round 4 and 5 was 08 May 2024 and 12 Jun 2024 respectively. 

IFMR Chennai provides various merit and need-based scholarships. These scholarships include Merit-cum-Means Scholarships, Merit Scholarships, etc. The students who fulfil the eligibility criteria are awarded a scholarship amount of up to INR 2 lakh. IFMR GSB offers Merit-cum-Means scholarships to provide financial aid to students. Under this, students get a scholarship amount of INR 2 Lacs per student. Those who meet the below criteria get the scholarship:

• Family annual combined income for the financial year should be less than INR 10 lakh
