I am very satisfied with my college because I got placed in a good hotel. A good college.
Placements: From my college, about 100% of students got placed in different companies. Top recruiting companies like Hilton, Taj, Four Seasons, and Hyatt. And roles are chosen by the students themselves, they can choose which roles they require. The highest package was around 85000 Rs, and the smallest package was around 18000 Rs. Internship was a part of the students second year of college; every student got an internship with different brands.
Infrastructure: College infrastructure is actually good; like, almost all of the classrooms are smart. They are providing around 6 professional kitchen setups for the students. The library and computer lab are also part of this college. And hostels are good, especially because the food is so good when we compare it to other college hostels. They are providing food in the mess. The canteen setup is not there. Sports and game facilities are there, like an indoor badminton court, a basketball court, a small football ground, and a volleyball court. Medical facilities provide a first aid facility.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and very supportive. Every faculty member is a qualified professional with the best knowledge and teaching quality. This course helps most of the students achieve their goals in this industry. Semester exams are actually easy. Most of the students will understand easily by studying. The pass percentage is 30%.
Other: I chose this course because I aim to become a professional chief, and after lots of research, I came to know this college is the best. The best things are teaching quality and placement. The thing that needs to improve is campus size and facilities. So many events are there, like Cata Fest, Food Festival, etc.

The pros and cons of ihmct kovalam Trivandrum .
Placements: The institute's placement cell has a strong track record of placing students in top hotels, resorts, and catering businesses. In the past years, IHMC Kovalam has had an impressive placement record. Packages offered: the highest salary offered was 8-10 lakhs per annum; the lowest package offered was around 2.5-3 lakhs per annum. Top recruiters like Taj, Oberoi, Marriott, ITC Hotels, and Hilton were among the top recruiters. Almost 85 percent got placed in good hotel groups. At the end of the day, our performance matters!
Infrastructure: The campus is modern and well-equipped with world-class facilities like state-of-the-art training kitchens, a bakery, a front office lab, mock hotel rooms, and an auditorium. The institute also has hostel facilities for students who are far away from home, for both male and female students. The hostel rooms are good; the toilets are always clean because there are many people to take care of them. When it comes to the hostel mess, it's pretty decent. They serve non-veg 2-4 days a week on random days; there is no fixed menu. The food is eatable, nothing more. The hostel is fun; there are so many activities. Also, there are four ACs in a class!
Faculty: The faculty members of IHMC Kovalam are well-experienced and highly qualified. I have to mention Rahul sir here because he is the main pillar of IHMC Kovalam. When talking about the exams, this is a college where if you have attendance, then you are ready for the exam. Exams are pretty easy; if you have common sense, you can pass the exam for sure. There are a lot of assignments to do here, so be prepared if you are considering admission here. This is an institution where your performance matters a lot. Always be attentive and presentable, and also be cool.
Other: One thing that I should say is that the institute should conduct more programs. We have very few programs compared to other IHMs. The institute needs a little upgrade in the auditorium, but the rest is fine.

All to know about IHM Trivandrum.
Placements: From the past few years, all the students who have attended the placements have gotten 1 or 2 job offers. Top recruiters like Hyatt, Taj, Hilton, Four seasons and many quick-serving restaurants visits our college for placements. Roles starting from entry-level to management trainee positions are offered. The placements happens around November and December.
Infrastructure: The college has a well-functioning computer lab, library, well-equipped training kitchen, restaurants, and many more. Basketball court, badminton court, volleyball court, atrium, and auditorium are also there. However, the infrastructure is not up to par.
Faculty: Every faculty member in IHM has to clear a national-level test called NHTET, followed by a skill test and then an interview in order to become a faculty member in IHM. So, there is no doubt that they are educated and talented. Faculty members can be easily approached and they are always there for the needs of students. From 2023, the college comes under JNU certification, so the syllabus is a bit vast and sure it does make a student ready for the industry.
Other: This course has huge potential. Numerous opportunities lie after this course, such as in the hotel industry, airlines, cruise lines, retail, human resources, sales and marketing, teaching, etc. One can always find their desired profession after choosing this course, which makes it more appealing.

Our college is good and provides good placements.
Placements: About 230 students got placed in our course. Top recruiting companies are Taj, Hilton, Crown Plaza, etc. Now interviews are going on, and about 36 students have passed the first interview from the Hilton Group. Top roles are offered to students.
Infrastructure: Our college has good classrooms. We have 6 training kitchens. Chefs are good.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. They always helped students. Some faculty members have not taken care of students' studies. If students are interactive in class, faculty members were friendly toward them. The course curriculum makes students industry-ready. We were the covid batch so we had online classes for 2 years. Online exams were good.
Other: I opted for this course because I like cooking. It would be better if there will be some fun activities in the college. Some events were held in our college.

This college has well-educated staff and provides many placements.
Placements: Around 75% of students are placed. The average salary package offered ranges from 3 LPA to 3.5 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Four Seasons, Taj, Puma, etc., that visit our campus to hire students. Many students get internships in top hotels like Taj, Oberoi, Grand Hyatt, etc. Every year many companies visit for recruitment, and there are many opportunities for students to get placed.
Infrastructure: In this college, Wi-Fi is enabled. Computer laboratories and kitchens for food production practicals are there. In the library, many books are available. The hostel is good, and students have privacy in the hostel. There are 3 students and 3 of them have their private space. The mess can accommodate 80 students at a time, and the food served is also good. It also provides a football ground, basketball court, volleyball, and badminton court.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful. They teach very well, and students have industrial training that helps them in industry work. The semester exams are easy, but some subjects are tough.

Review of IHM Kovalam - Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology.
Placements: Many companies come to the college for placements, especially Taj and 4 Seasons. If we work hard and learn everything properly, we will be hired. We can also make friends from many states and different cultures.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available only for college purposes. Labs are nice and air-conditioned. The classrooms are good and have AC. The library is good. Hostel rooms are good, and each student has a bed and an almirah. The mess is excellent and hygienic. Basketball, football, and volleyball grounds are available.
Faculty: The faculty members are awesome and friendly. They help us with everything. Exams are easy for those who study well. Practicals are awesome if we like cooking and serving. We can improve our English-speaking skills.
Other: Many events are held here. VIP guests are invited to the campus. The whole fest is based on the food varieties. Campus life is good. There are many beaches and 5-star hotels nearby.

The college, faculty, location of the college everything thing is excellent.
Placements: Almost 99 per cent of the students get placed on the campus itself. The lowest package offered was 20k. Four seasons Maldives recruits most of its employees from our campus itself. All students are required to do the training for 6 months in various hotels. The top role offered is of manager position.
Infrastructure: The college has a well-equipped smart classroom for theory lectures. A well air-conditioned computer lab, three modern kitchens for practical and 2 restaurants and a bar for the students. The hostel is maintained regularly and cleaned daily by the staff. The canteen and mess is also very hygiene.
Faculty: The faculty and the staff members are very helpful and friendly and experienced. The course makes the students ready for the industry and make them ready to work the curriculum and the theory are not so hard to study. The semester exams are conducted by NCHMCT which is not so tough. Above 70 percentage students pass in the first attempt itself.

The infrastructure is above-average, and the faculty members and principal are the best.
Placements: Due to the covid 19 crisis in the industry, there were hardly any campus interviews. But the college tried to bring some companies and conducted the interviews online. About 40-50 students got placed in various companies.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good. There is no Wi-Fi access for students. There is an area for gym, but no equipment is present. The hostel is very good, especially the first-year hostel block. There are separate blocks for all the years. Food quality has improved over the years.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, well qualified and knowledgeable. They have a good experience. The course curriculum is relevant but a little old fashioned. It could be updated to meet the present scenario of the industry.
Other: The best thing about this course is that you can get a job as soon as you complete the degree.
