IIM Ahmedabad MBA-PGPX Eligibility & Highlights 2025

IIMA MBA-PGPX is a PG programme of one year duration. Meant for working professionals, candidates seeking admission must have a bachelor’s degree and at least four years of experience. On successful completion of this course, students are given a Master of Business Administration degree. For admission, all eligible candidates must take a GMAT/GRE test.

In addition to this, IIM-A also offers an ePGD-ABA diploma programme of 16 months duration. Those with at least two years of experience along with a valid score in one of the GMAT/GRE/CAT/GATE exams are eligible to apply for this course.

IIM Ahmedabad MBA-PGPX & ePGD Admission 2025: Eligibility & Selection

IIM Ahmedabad does have a listed minimum score during the admission process, all candidates are advised to try and score between 70-75% during the GMAT or GRE entrance exams for IIM Ahmedabad MBA admissions.

Candidates must also note that standardised tests are just one of several admission criteria. A high score does not guarantee admission, and a below-average score does not eliminate a candidate. More details about the admission of both these courses are as follows:

Q: How is PGPX different from other programmes at IIMA?

While all the courses at IIMA are full-time and residential, the PGPX is a one-year programme while PGP is for two years. The PGPX orientation is to give a general management perspective to a management executive, whereas the PGP is focused on Functional and Operational Management. On successful completion, students are given a Master of Business Administration degree.

Great campus life with student with diverse backgrounds.

Placements: Students become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester while internships are available from the 3rd semester onwards. Companies like TCS, Deloitte, Infosys, and Wipro visit the campus for placements. Around 80 - 90 percent of the students who participate in the placement process get placed successfully.

Infrastructure: The campus life is beautiful yet challenging. While cultural activities and events are frequent and enjoyable, the workload related to assignments, exams and projects can feel overwhelming. Clubs and committees play a crucial role in managing campus activities and ensuring a vibrant student community.

Faculty: The relationship between faculty and students is positive, and the faculty members are highly approachable. There is one internal exam conducted before the final semester exam. The exams are quite difficult and 2-3 percent of the students struggle to pass them. The teaching staff includes experienced professors and Ph.D. scholars who strive to provide the best support to their students.

I am the lucky person for the IIM.

Placements: The placement of students placed in our course is 100%. The IIM is well known for placements at the highest package (54 LPA), the lowest package (2.4 to 5 LPA), and the average (5 to 17 LPA). Placement training and skill development classes are held, and students like me came to know the real world projects, and we worked and gained experience. The internship opportunities for our course are 96%. I love the course curriculum.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is best class, as it is IIM—the beautiful Classrooms and Campus with greenery Plants and Trees. The Facilities in our Course is top-notch, like Wi-Fi facilities in our Classrooms and library, which have a vast number of Books. The Hostel facilities is available The food in the hostel is good. Mess food is better than the Canteen food. The best-class Clubs for Sports and Games. Medical Facilities are also provided.

Faculty: The teachers are well experienced, and some of them are IITains who have worked and have all the knowledge in subjects. Qualified teachers. The teaching facilities are the best. They give students real-world projects that make them ready for industry. The passing percentage is 92%. Most of them are well-cracked competitive exams. The exams are hard to pass.

Our college has good faculty members and facilities.

Infrastructure: The hostel accommodation was better than expected, but the mess food was not up to the mark. The food items served included chapatti, idli, dosa, parotta, and rice. There were two buildings, including the new hostel. There was a lake beside the girls' hostel. There was no water problem. There was filtered drinking water. Snacks were served in the evening. Coffee and tea are available two times a day. They served lunch with curry, curd, rasam, and papad.

Faculty: Faculty members were good. They took extra care with the course curriculum. They were very responsible for their subjects. They took personal interest in their students. I am well satisfied with them. I chose this course for developing my skills in this field. Faculty members were very close to us. They cleared up all doubts about the subjects. During exam times, they will be specially trained.

Placements: Our college is well-known for its placements. Almost 100% of students get placed every year in our college. The highest domestic salary package offered is 70 LPA. The average salary package offered is 45 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 30 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Boston Consultancy Group, Axis Bank, Larson and Toubro, Deloitte, Nestle, Reliance Group, etc. Students are eligible for internships in the last 2 months of the year. Almost 100% of students got internships in well-known companies like Tata consultancy, Adani Group, HDFC General Insurance, Sun silk, etc.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good. There is comfortable furniture for students. Wi-Fi facility is av 24X7 on campus. The library is well-stocked with many books and journals for self-study. There is a well-decorated lab with the availability of all necessary equipment. The hostel is average. The food served in the mess is not tasty and unhygienic. They provide a variety of food items. Our college provides good sports and medical facilities.

Faculty: Our faculty members are qualified and experienced. They have good knowledge of their subject. Their teaching quality is good. They clear all our doubts. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are not much difficult. If you attend every lecture and study throughout the year, then you can easily pass the exam. Around 90% of students pass the exam.

Other: I opted for this course because I want to gain knowledge of management. The hostel and canteen facilities should be improved. Our college organises multiple fests like dikshant and samaroh. Our college provides scholarship programs based on knowledge and financial condition.

The average salary package offered is 50 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 40 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Boston Consultancy, Tata Consultancy Services, Axis Bank, Larson and Torbro, Amazon, Sunsilk, etc. Students are eligible for a 2-month internship during their course. Students should apply for internships. Almost 100% of students got internships in companies. Top internship companies are Larsen and Torbro, Deloitte, Nestle, Reliance Group, Adani Group, Logitech, Mahindra, etc.

Infrastructure: Our college ensures the comfort of students. Our college provides comfortable furniture in classrooms. Wi-Fi facility is available at high speed. Our college provides a library for self-study, and it contains many books related to the course and journals. The hostel is average. The food served in the hostel is unhygienic. Our college provides good sports facilities for students. Medical facilities are available in our college.

Faculty: Our teachers are knowledgeable and well-qualified. They know techniques to teach, but they are not much friendly to students. The course curriculum is relevant and it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are a bit difficult. If students study throughout the year, then they will pass exams. Around 90% of students pass exams.

Other: I opted for this course because I wanted to run my family business. It is a reputed and good college. It is a well-known college. Our college should improve the quality of mess. Our teachers should be more friendly.

It is the best college in India and most value for money.

Placements: Placements for our batch were quite good and better than the placement record of the previous year. The lowest salary package offered was 19 LPA. The highest domestic salary package offered was 60 LPA. All the top companies visited, which included Amazon, Google, Microsoft, etc. Roles offered varied from CFO to marketing manager. The one year MBA programme doesn't have internships. There is a placement cell formed by students and recognised by the institute. The placement cell was very useful.

Infrastructure: The institute provides a great Wi-Fi facility throughout the campus. It has the best library which can be used to get up to 6 books and if you don't find any book in the library, you can suggest library to purchase it which is done very quickly. The institute has a permanent doctor and various other specialist visits on a daily basis. All the sports facilities are available, including basketball, squash, volleyball, football, and cricket. The swimming pool is under construction. There are various canteens. The food served in the PGP mess is good, and PGPX mess is excellent. The vendors available on the campus also serve great food like Bikanerwala. Hostel rooms are quite good. The PGP hostel doesn't have air-conditioner, but PGPX hostel rooms have air-conditioner. Hostels for married students are also quite good.

Faculty: The course curriculum is case-based pedagogy. Students are forced to work on more than 300 cases throughout the year. It helps students in learning various aspects of business and prepare them well for the challenges that arise in the real world. Teachers are the best in India. The teacher to student ratio is 1:7. The college has an international immersion programme where students get global industry exposure. I went to London and visited many companies.

Other: There are various social events, and they are quite famous in India.

Q: What is the fee for the ePGD-ABA programme at IIMA?

As per the official website, the total fee is INR 12 Lacs (inclusive of all taxes). The programme fee is inclusive of tuition fee, course materials fee, student's stay and food during campus visits and other service facilities, such as libraries, etc. Students can pay this programme fee in two instalments. The institute shares the fee structure along with the admission offer. For the ease of the students, IIM-A also has tie-ups with multiple banks to offer collateral-free education loans.
