Annual IIM Ahmedabad MBA Fees
The total programme fee for PGP courses offered at IIM Ahmedabad ranges between INR 12 lakh to INR 25 lakh, with IIM Ahmedabad being the most expensive among all. At present, the total programme fee payable for the MBA course at IIM Ahmedabad is approximately INR 26.5 lakh. The amount is inclusive of GST, campus facilities and library access. Other expenses, such as laptops, boarding, laundry, clothes, and personal expenses, are extra.

Scholarships Offered at IIM Ahmedabad
Besides the financial assistance and education loans provided by IIMs to its students, the institutes also provide the opportunity to avail scholarships for candidates who are in need. The following scholarships are offered at IIM A. The total amount of scholarship to be provided to a student is decided based on several factors such as:

Special Need-Based Scholarships at IIM Ahmedabad
IIM Ahmedabad has instituted a Special Need-Based Scholarship Scheme to complement the various scholarships provided by the industry and government. Every year, several IIM aspirants are provided substantial financial support under this scheme. Students admitted to the postgraduate programmes whose gross annual income is below INR 15,00,000 in the previous financial year can apply for this scholarship scheme. They will be required to present proof of family income, amount of educational loan taken, candidate’s past earnings, etc. The annual income will be calculated as the total income of the parents/guardians and spouse (if married). The income before the tax deduction will be considered. The institute will determine the financial assistance required for each student based on its assessment of the student's economic status evaluated through criteria such as movable and immovable family assets, the number of dependents on the family income, and any other criteria it may deem necessary.
SC/ST Scholarships
Students belonging to the SC/ST category are awarded INR 150 per month for 10 months in the postgraduate programmes offered by the institute.
IIM A Exit Scholarships
- Scholarships for students who graduate from IIM A and going for entrepreneurship: To encourage the graduates to become entrepreneurs, IIM A has decided to initiate a scheme of providing a monthly stipend of INR 30,000 for at most three consecutive years to two students from each batch. To avail this student needs to opt out of the placement and have business plans.
- Scholarships for students who graduate and join Non-Profit Organisation: To encourage the graduates of IIM A to opt for jobs in NGOs, two students from every batch will be given financial assistance of INR 3 lakh to INR 4 lakh per year (per student) for three consecutive years at most to facilitate paying out a part of their bank loans they availed to study at IIM A.
- Assistance ships for students who graduate from IIM A and pursue doctoral studies: To encourage the graduates of IIM A to opt for doctoral studies in India or abroad, two students from each batch will be given financial assistance of INR 3 lakh to INR 4 lakh per year (per student) for three consecutive years at most.
Scholarships Offered by the Government of India
- SC/ST Scholarship: This scholarship will be awarded to meritorious SC/ST students whose family income does not exceed INR 4,50,000 per annum.
- Minority Welfare Scholarship (Merit-cum-Means): This scholarship will be awarded to students who belong to minority communities, and whose family incomes do not exceed INR 2,50,000 per annum.
- Scholarships for Students with Disabilities: This scholarship will be awarded to meritorious DA/PWD students, whose family income does not exceed INR 6,00,000 per annum.
Scholarships Offered by Alumni
- PGP Alumni Endowment Funds: This scholarship is awarded every year to nine PGP 1 & PGP/FABM II students from economically and socially challenged backgrounds based on
their financial status. Through this scholarship, each student would be eligible to get an amount in the range of INR 200,000 - INR 300,000. It is expected that the beneficiary
students would contribute in future (within and not later than 5 to 7 years after passing out from the Institute) a sum at least equal to but preferably substantially more than what s/he
received towards providing similar support to such students. A grace period of one year is allowed from the year of graduation from IIMA, to start their contributions. To avail this scholarship, the student needs to provide his/her consent to contribute in future. - Class of PGP 2001, Peri Viswanath Scholarship: The scholarship was instituted by batchmates of Mr. Peri Viswanath and aims to extend financial support of INR 2,00,000 for one year and INR 4,00,000 for two years to one student in PGP/PGP FABM. The criteria to avail this scholarship is Merit-cum-Means. The scholarship will be awarded in the beginning of the second year of college and the beneficiary student is expected to contribute in future (within and not later than 5 to 7 years after passing out from the Institute). A grace period of one year is allowed from the year of graduation from IIMA, to start their contributions. To avail this scholarship, the student needs to provide his/her consent to contribute in future.
- Shri GC Mital Entrepreneurial Aid: Every year, one graduating student in PGP/PGP FABM, who intends to start his/her own venture will be awarded a sum on INR 2,00,000. It is limited to students with educational loans of a minimum of INR 100,000 and those with a combined family income below INR 8,00,000 per annum. The selection of the awardee shall be done based on a business plan submitted by the student. The aid amount would be given to the student on the day of convocation.
- Smt. J Nagamma Memorial Award: This will be awarded to one student at the end of the first year as a merit scholarship. The amount is INR 15,000.
Industry Scholarships at IIM Ahmedabad
IIM Ahmedabad also awards various industry scholarships to students based on their academic performance:
Aditya Birla Scholarships: As the name suggests, these are awarded by the Aditya Birla Group to three meritorious PGP- I and II. The amount is 1,75,000 per student per year.
Dunia Scholarships for Scholastic Excellence: Provided by Dunia Finance LLC instituted this merit scholarship. The amount of this scholarship is INR 1,00,000 per year per scholarship. Two scholarships will be awarded each to PGP-Is and PGP-IIs.
OP Jindal Engineering and Management Scholarship: The scholarship of INR 1,50,000 (per student per year) is awarded by the OP Jindal group to one or two students at IIM A. The selection for this scholarship is made based on academic performance, an online test and a personal interview.
T Thomas Scholarship: Awarded by Hindustan Unilever Ltd. to a student in the second year based on merit-cum-means criteria. The amount is INR 1,00,000 per year.
