Special Need-Based Scholarships at IIM Ahmedabad
IIM Ahmedabad has instituted a Special Need-Based Scholarship Scheme to complement the various scholarships provided by the industry and government. Every year, several IIM aspirants are provided substantial financial support under this scheme. Students admitted to the postgraduate programmes whose gross annual income is below INR 15,00,000 in the previous financial year can apply for this scholarship scheme. They will be required to present proof of family income, amount of educational loan taken, candidate’s past earnings, etc. The annual income will be calculated as the total income of the parents/guardians and spouse (if married). The income before the tax deduction will be considered. The institute will determine the financial assistance required for each student based on its assessment of the student's economic status evaluated through criteria such as movable and immovable family assets, the number of dependents on the family income, and any other criteria it may deem necessary.
