To get admissions in tier 1 and premier colleges, you need at least 50% marks in graduation. IIM - Ahmedabad has cutoff of 99.5 percentile in CAT.

IIMs consider only CAT for admission to their MBA programmes they do not accept any other management exams.

A good percentage in 10th and 12th are:
50% and above in graduation,
99 percentile in CAT (general) ,
89 percentile in CAT (SC),
and 85 percentile in CAT (ST).
Then you will also have to convert your calls.

That's an outstanding percentile and you will receive calls from all the IIMs but the main thing is to convert the calls. So as you are confident about your score start preparing for the next level.

It doesn't. In fact, a majority of the students at IIM-A (or any other IIM for that matter) are from a technical background with majority being from an engineering background. So, you need not worry about being from a technical background.
