Your marks in 10th,12th and graduation are indeed looked into for admission. But what matters most is your score in CAT. If you can score well and get rank within 50, then I am sure you would get admission in IIM-A.

Why not? Admissions to IIM, Ahmedabad are fundamentally based on marks obtained in CAT conducted by one of the IIM's every year. If you manage to come within top 50 you are sure to get admission.

Depending on his background , he might get a call. You don't need to worry about money if it's an IIM call. You'll get an easy loan based on your admission.
