For admission to a two-year MBA/ PGP course at IIM Kozhikode, candidates must fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place. Candidates who passed graduation with minimum 60% aggregate from a recognised university are eligible to apply for MBA course. However, there is a five percent relaxation for reserved category candidates and they must obtain a minimum of 55% aggregate in their final graduation. Further, candidates who do not hold any graduation degree must score minimum 50% aggregate in obtain CA/ICWA/CS to qualify for the eligibility.

For admission to PGP programme, students must have passed Bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 60% aggregate. In the case of an absence of a duly recognised Bachelor's degree a candidate should obtain a minimum aggregate per cent of 50 in CA/ ICWA/ CS. The entrance exams accepted include CAT and EMAT.

Yes, the aspirants of EPGP need to obtain a valid score in Executive Management Aptitude Test (EMAT) conducted by IIM Kozhikode in the online mode. This is a mandatory exam to qualify for EPGP in order to secure a seat at IIM Kozhikode. The EMAT is conducted to evaluate the basic logical, numerical, and verbal ability of applicants. IIM Kozhikode concluded its final placement process for its 24th batch of PGP along with the batches of PGP- Finance (PGP-F) and PGP Liberal Studies and Management (PGP-LSM). Candidates seeking for admission to IIM Kozhikode must check the eligibility criteria for the course they want to apply at IIMK. Further, the second step is the application process. Candidates applying for Management courses must submit the scores of CAT/ GMAT/ GRE at the time of filling the application form. Further, the institute also conduct EMAT for admission to E-MBA course. Based on entrance exam scores, the shortlisted students are called for Written Ability Test (WAT)/ Personal Interview (PI). However, WAT/PI rounds are not conducted for all the courses. Later on, candidates are allocated seats as per their performance in the selection rounds. 

The students of PGP, PGP-BL and FPM programmes are required to reside on campus. Residential facilities in the campus include 13 student hostels and faculty guest houses. Roobaroo is a cultural event conducted every year during the induction of the new batch to acclimate students to IIMK culture and build a good on-campus community. The Students' Council facilitates elections to the other student committees on campus. In addition to elections, the Students' Council is involved in elective bidding, hostel bidding, co-ordinating other student bodies (IGs, clubs and committees), conducting Farewells, liaising with administration and institutional development activities.

Backwaters (the annual management fest), Echoes (the annual intercollegiate cultural event), E-Summit (the annual entrepreneur meet), and Horizons (the annual management conclave) are a few major events organised by the student body. Bhooklagi is a student-based start-up operating inside the campus. It is the first and only kind of startup that's operating in any IIM. Nostalgia is the annual on-campus alumni meet and has been conducted since 2004. Sangram is an annual sports meet with IIM Bangalore, IIM Trichy, and IIM Visakhapatnam with each institute hosting the event in alternate years.

Kozhikode Marathon Executive Committee of IIM Kozhikode has organized mini-marathon runs in Kozhikode annually.
