STEP 2: Entrance Test/ Selection
MBA Selection Process:
The selection in stage-1 is based on CAT scores for MBA. The minimum CAT qualifying overall percentile is 90 for General category for MBA and 85 for MBA in BA. Aspirants are selected for PI round based on their CAT score and qualifying cutoff. Selected students receive an email with link to IIM Sambalpur application portal.
Students have to complete the form and update information. A pre-PI score out of 80 is released based on CAT score, Class 10, Class 12 and graduation scores, work experience and STEM academic background for MBA. The pre-PI score for MBA in BA is out of 75. All shortlisted aspirants have to attend the PI round.

STEP 3: Merit List/ Cutoff
IIM Sambalpur releases a final sectional and overall cutoff considering the final composite scores of candidates. As per the past years' cutoff data from unofficial sources, the estimated IIM Sambalpur cutoff in 2025 was 97.

- If a aspirant wants to withdraw from MBA programme on or after programme registration date but before term-1 classes start date, refund request is only considered if there are more registered aspirants than planned intake. In this case, amount paid by student is refunded after deduction of withdrawal amount of INR 50,00, which includes the paid caution money.
