STEP 2: Entrance Test/ Selection
For MBA: The first level of selection is based on CAT scores for MBA. The minimum CAT qualifying overall percentile is 90 for General category for MBA and 85 for MBA in BA. Based on qualifying cutoff, aspirants are selected for PI round. Students receive an email with link to IIM Sambalpur application portal.
Students have to complete the form and update information. A pre-PI score out of 80 is released based on CAT score, Class 10, Class 12 and graduation scores, work experience and STEM academic background for MBA. All selected candidates need to attend the PI round.

The cleaning crew is in charge of keeping the rooms clean on a daily basis. High-speed Wi-Fi is now available across the campus and may be accessed from any location. The temporary campus of IIM Sambalpur is located between hills and farmlands, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Students at IIM Sambalpur run a number of student committees and clubs. Students spend their leisure time playing Cricket, Badminton and TT; visiting Sambalpur city in search of alternative cuisine; catching a movie at the last minute; or simply taking long walks in and around the campus. The normal day at IIM Sambalpur begins at 8.30 a.m. Each session lasts 75 minutes, with a 15-minute tea break in between. Classes, homework, presentations, and examinations dominate the lives of IIM Sambalpur students. In addition, students spend their free time attending activities hosted by organisations and committees.
IIM Sambalpur has three hostel buildings, two for boys and one for girls. The rooms are provided to the students of IIM Sambalpur on a twin-sharing basis. The campus is wifi enabled. For the purpose of students' leisure activities, each hostel has its own common room where televisions and table tennis equipment are installed.

IIM Sambalpur offers a two-year full-time residential course at the PG level. The institute also offers MBA in Business Analytics. The first year of MBA in BA is offered in the Delhi campus of IIM Sambalpur. IIM Sambalpur admission is a three-stage process. The selection is based on CAT, pre-personal interview shortlisting, personal interview and final merit list. Candidates are selected based on the pre-determined sectional and overall CAT cutoff percentile.
Aspirants are selected for the Pre-PI round. The Pre-PI Score is calculated out of 80. It is determined for MBA by considering below parameters:

IIM Sambalpur PhD Admission process consists of four stages:
