Life at IIM Sirmaur is fascinating and students enjoy their college life to the fullest while also studying. IIM Sirmaur organizes annual cultural fests which are led and conducted by students. Many students also perform in the festival. IIM Sirmaur follows the reservation policy of the Government of India for admission in MBA. It allocates 27% of its seats to NC-OBC, 15% to SCs, 7.5% to STs, and 10% to EWS. Reservation of 5% is provided for PwD across all categories.

IIM Sirmaur courses admissions are entirely entrance exam based. Aspiring candidates must check the selection process for their desired programme. For admission in MBA programme at IIM Sirmaur candidates should appear for the CAT exam as candidates will be shortlisted for the personal interview (PI) round based on the CAT score. Selected candidates will have to report to the admission cell at IIM Sirmaur for document verification and fee payment for final seat locking.
The cutoff for admission to BMS program at IIM Sirmaur through IPMAT Indore is not formally published. However, it is expected to be close to the cutoff of the IPM program at IIM Indore. From previous trends, the general category cutoff for IPMAT Indore has occurred between 170 to 210 marks.
