For admission to IIM Trichy for the flagship MBA (or PGP) course, the result of CAT 2023 can be expected by the last week of December 2023 (If the CAT conducting body follows the trend as in 2022). Candidates are allowed to take a break with approval of PGPBM committee of IIM Trichy Chennai campus under exceptional circumstances. As per official sources, it is still important to complete the course within 5 years from the date of admission to gain the PG degree.

Candidates leaving the IIM Trichy - Chennai Campus PGPBM course midway will not receive any certificate. The institute only provide grade sheet at the end of every term. Thus, candidates need to complete course to gain degree.

Admission to various courses is based on merit and scores and entrance examinations. The accepted entrance examinations are CAT, GMAT, GRE etc. If the students have valid scores in these entrance tests, they are exempted from the IIMT Aptitude test. Also, students must have secured 50% in graduation
