IMI Kolkata Concludes Summer Placement with 189 Offers from 39 Recruiters
February 10, 2020: IMI Kolkata - International Management Institute Kolkata concluded summer placement season for Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) 2019-21 batch. Total 39 recruiters participated who offered 189 offers. This year the institute witnessed participation of 23 new recruiters such as Amazon, Dabur, Spencer's, Exide Life Insurance, Outlook Group, Dr Vaidya's, Nephroplus, Jaro Education, Arohan Financial Services and Think Through Consulting. Students were offered jobs in diversified fields such as Market Research, Business Development, Sales and Marketing and BFSI. The top 10 percentile students received average stipend of Rs 47,778 and top 25 percentile students received average stipend of Rs 30,511.

Placements: The placement percentage is about 95-100%. The highest salary package offered is about 20 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 6 LPA. The average salary package offered is about 8 LPA - 10 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Deloitte, PWC, ICICI Bank, Marico, and many more. All students got internships. The role offered in marketing mainly sales domain and finance is a tax consultant.
Placements: The highest package for 2024 passouts was 20.38 LPA, and the average was 12.02 LPA. Companies like KPMG, Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail, Amazon, Deloitte, EY, LINC, OYO, Coca-Cola, RPSG Group, and many more come to the campus for placement and SIP. The highest stipend for this year's SIP was 1 lac, with the average being Rs 50,500.
Placements: I have seen some prominent companies visiting our campus for the placement process, some of them are Gartner, KPMG, ICICI, First Source, Too Yummy etc., they have been offering roles such as associate technology consultant, associate business manager, tax consultant etc. My seniors are being placed quickly as their batch is about to get over, their previous batch was placed 100% in good companies. Placements: At IMI Kolkata, 100% students get placed in reputed companies with a good CTC and 100% of first-year students get internships through college. For batch 2021-23, the highest package is 14 LPA, the lowest is 8 LPA, the average is 10.65 LPA, and the median is 10.50 LPA. Placements: 100% of our batch was placed. The highest package is 20 Lacs and the lowest is 4 Lacs whereas the average package is 6.5 Lacs. The top companies were JSW, Amazon, Pwc, KPMG etc. Mostly the roles that these companies provided were of consultant and risk advisory.
Placements: All students got placed in our college. The highest salary package offered is 20.7 LPA. The average salary package offered is 9.12 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 8.71 LPA. Students have a wide range of electives to choose from in the PGDM programme at IMI Kolkata. PGDM students are allowed to take courses from two areas of specialisation, one as a major and the other as a minor.

Summer Internship Project (SIP) is a compulsory component of the PGDM curriculum at IMI Kolkata. After the end of the first year, the PGDM students are required to undergo an internship project in a company for about 8-10 weeks.
