On Fees and Eligibility
Q:   Can I get B.Tech at Imperial College of Engineering with 75 percentile in JEE?
A:

Unfortunately, it is difficult to predict with certainty whether you can get B.Tech at Imperial College of Engineering with a 75 percentile in JEE .This is because admission to B.Tech programs in India depends on several factors, including:

*Specific programme and specialization: Different programs and specializations within B.Tech at IIEST Shibpur might have different cutoff percentiles.

*Reservation categories: There are reservation seats for various categories such as SC, ST, OBC, and PwD, which have lower cutoff percentiles compared to the general category.

*Home state quota: There may be a certain percentage of seats reserved for students from the home state (West Bengal in this case).

*Number of applicants: The competition level can vary from year to year depending on the number of applicants.

However, I can provide you with some information that might be helpful:

*Previous year cutoff data: You can check the previous year cutoff data for B.Tech programs at IIEST Shibpur to get an idea of the range of percentiles required for admission. You can find this information on the institute's website or on websites that provide JEE cutoffs.

*JEE rank predictor: You can use a JEE rank predictor tool to estimate your rank based on your percentile. Knowing your rank can give you a better idea of your chances of getting into your desired program.

*Contacting the institute: You can contact the admissions office at IIEST Shibpur directly to inquire about the specific cutoff percentiles for the B.Tech programme you are interested in.

Here are some additional tips:

* Consider attending counseling sessions if you are shortlisted for admission.

* Research the B.Tech programs offered at IIEST Shibpur and other institutes to choose the one that best suits your interests.

* Prepare for the JEE Advanced exam if you are aiming for admission to the top IITs.

I hope this information helps!

It's a good college, and the facility is very good. The infrastructure of the college is attractive.
Placements: My batch started in 2022, and my batch ends in 2025. 2025 is the last year of my degree. For our batch, I am studying engineering at Imperial College of Engineering. My college provides a minimum of 60-70% of placements. The highest and lowest packages are 7 to 8 lacs or 14 lacs; the average packages are 5 to 6 lacs.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very attractive. The facilities of the college are mind-blowing. The college infrastructure is very big, and the college campus is very big and green. The college has a good campus and grounds, and also a college canteen. In a college canteen, hygiene is necessary.
Faculty: Teachers are excellent. The exam pattern is very simple but strict; the exam pattern is for 2019. I am studying the 2019 pattern. The exam for my course is difficult but interesting. My course is currently relevant in the structure or in the first structural or civil construction department.
Other: The Imperial College of Engineering started in 2022, and the private antonym college started in 2023.

Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is absolutely good there was a peaceful campus with a good library, classrooms, girls hostel and also Wi-Fi with AC provided by the college. The college sports club is very big stadium, and also food court is very nice; the food is extraordinary.
Faculty: The teaching quality is one of the unique and comfortable languages for students, and the teacher staff is Ph.D. Teach also Gold Medal with 1st grade. The semester exams are very helpful for end-of-semester exams. It is also very helpful for students. Also, 75% attendance is mandatory.

B.E. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2022
4.6
4Placements5Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Absolutely satisfied because of faculty, good placements, really good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: The campus placements are completely different than off-campus placements, I have seen person who started preparing just a week before the placements gets into very good company. The best part about campus placements is that they give opportunity to each and every student, whereas in off-campus placements, sometimes after being super-skilled, you cannot get your resume shortlisted. The most important aspect of any campus drive is the aptitude round; often CSE students take aptitude slightly. The students with very good coding skills and top-notch programming knowledge cannot clear his aptitude round. So, my advice to all the students preparing for campus drives is to practice aptitude very well, as it is the first round in almost every company.
Infrastructure: College infrastructure is very good. There are 2 boys hostels and a girls hostel, and the hostels are well-maintained. A Wi-Fi facility is available on the campus. A big cricket field, a football ground, a basketball court, and all sports are available. There are 3 meals, and the quality of the food is good and tasty. College buses are available for almost all routes in Chennai, so there will be no issues in travel. Faculty members are quite good and have experience of more than 10 years. Most of them did their graduation from top universities. The course curriculum is excellent and covers all aspects that make students job-ready. Placements are very good in this college; most students are selected by top companies. There is an incubation centre inside the campus that will develop the research and development activities of the students. Students are given training from the second year for innovative projects. It is a very good place to learn.
Faculty: Teachers put heart in their job and connect with students to pass on the content to be delivered. Teachers add value to a student's life by imparting content to develop their ability to think on a daily basis. So, dear friend, they deserve to be grateful for the services provided. Just say thank you for your devoted teaching, all the good words said for me and boosting my morale. Thank you for those learning ticks, which I will cherish in building my aptitude. Thank you for the repeated corrections leading to doing things right.
Other: I chose this course to help and provide education to sick people.

Thinking the Civil Engineering Curriculum.
Placements: Imperial College of Engineering and Research has 80-90% placements, with top companies like L&T and Suroj Bidcom hiring around 60-70% of the student base. Salaries range from 3 Lacs to 10 Lacs annually. The institute prepares students for roles like Site Managers and Junior Engineers.
Infrastructure: Imperial College of Engineering and Research boasts superior facilities, including high-speed Wi-Fi for seamless connectivity, modern and well-equipped classrooms for effective learning, state-of-the-art computer labs with advanced software, and a comprehensive library with a vast collection of resources. These facilities provide students with an optimal learning environment.
Faculty: The faculty at Imperial College is renowned, but teaching quality can be inconsistent. Some instructors struggle to connect with students, making coursework challenging. While the curriculum is academically rigorous, it may not fully prepare students for industry. Passing semesters can be difficult due to the demanding nature of the coursework.
Other: Civil engineering, the foundation branch of engineering, offers immense scope. However, the current education system and outdated syllabus need a revamp. While this college provides opportunities, there's room for more frequent and diverse events.

B.E. in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering - Batch of 2025

The college has good infrastructure, and this year it has achieved autonomous institute status.
Placements: Placement from the Electronics and Telecommunication department is quite good for the 2024 batch, with students being placed in companies like IBM, PWC, Hexaware, etc. The average package ranges from 3 to 5 LPA. The Computer Department has even better placement records, with many students securing placements in 2024.
Infrastructure: The campus boasts a better environment with large, green, and beautiful surroundings. Only girls' hostels are provided within the college premises, while boys have the option of private hostels or PGs. Numerous food stalls inside the campus cater to lunch needs after the break. Adequate security measures are in place on campus.
Faculty: Faculty members are supportive, and a 75% attendance is compulsory. Regular practical and theory sessions are conducted, and well-equipped labs and computers are available for practical sessions. Innovation labs, equipped with necessary project materials such as wires and boards, are provided for projects.

Best time of Life was spent here.
Placements: CS IT students get placements, but mechanical students do not get even 10% of placements. 10-15 students are placed by the college; most of us are placed in regional Pune companies, with a few placed in Mahindra & Mahindra and Skoda. The salary offered is 25,000/month. We all get internships because it is in the syllabus, but no stipend is provided. The roles offered are maintenance engineer and design engineer.
Infrastructure: College location is easily accessible, and the infrastructure and campus are cool. Free internet is available everywhere, but there is a mobile network issue on the campus. Classrooms are big and have facilities like fans, tables, and projectors. Hostel rooms and facilities are good, but its food is not good. We have a nearby canteen, but it has only good tea, not food.
Faculty: Teachers are very good; they support us in projects like E-baha, Samaskara competition. We together built an E-racing bike. The course curriculum is designed by Savitribai Phule University. Semester exams are difficult, and we don't have combined passing; we have to score 40% in all kinds of exams.
Other: In college, the mobile network is very low sometimes; we can't make urgent calls, and that needs to be fixed.
