Scholarship 1

IMT Nagpur offers the following scholarships to students -
Smt Leela Nath Memorial Scholarship: All female candidates who are admitted to any of the PGDM programs at IMT Nagpur, will receive a scholarship of 20% on the academic fees component. Please note that the scholarship will be disbursed post candidate joins the campus and pays the required amount of fees and all other components of the fee as mentioned above.

Merit Scholarship: Candidates who have scored a 90 percentile or above in CAT

TFW waiver scheme: Candidates eligible and shortlisted for the Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) scheme, will not be required to pay the academic fee component as they will get a 100% academic fees waiver. They will, however, have to pay all other components of the fees.
In addition to the same, they will be required to pay an amount of Rs 12,000/- per month towards charges for academic amenities and other facilities. This payment is to be made by the eligible students to IMT Nagpur in quarterly advance as per said monthly rate

Disappoint unhappy waste.

Placements: 1/3rd batch unplaced or 100+ out of 340 unplaced. No big companies come to recrui hardly 1 or 2. Average package is 6 to 8 LPA based on people who got placed, otherwise, it would be way less if taking all students into consideration. Very few, less than 50%, got internship from college, and that too in small companies, mostly unpaid, others got by themselves. Other colleges offer the same roles and packages with lower fees and percentile. Unplaced students are working at 3-4 LPA off-campus. Some roles are not even MBA-level. This college is a total waste of money.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is in hostels and academic buildings. Girls and boys have separate hostels, and it is not allowed to go to each other’s hostel. The library is open all the time, and it has some computers too, but only one Bloomberg terminal. Hostel rooms will have a B.Ed frame, table, chair, almirah, small bedside drawer, you will have to buy a mattress, pillow, curtains, bucket, and mug separately. Food is not bad in the mess, you will get food 4 times a day. It has sports facilities for different sports, but the gym is very bad, with no proper equipment and in a very small room.

Faculty: Education quality is not up to the mark. Some teachers don't teach in class. Most students bunk classes by giving false attendance. Exams are difficult because of relative grading system. You are not allowed to sit for placements below 5 CGPA. They give debarment points on very small things, and you are ineligible for placements after 20 points. They will make you sign weird placement policy, which is very bad for students. Placement report is incorrect. No preparation for Resume Building, company interviews, GD. No extra certification by college.

Other: College life is average as it is 40 km away from the city, so you don't have exposure to the city, and the crowd is also average. The college has 1 main event in a year and some little events on festivals. College culture is not good, most people drink and smoke on campus. For going to the city, cabs take 2000 Rs. The canteen is expensive. It takes above 75 percentile in CAT, but no big companies come to recruit, and most students are unplaced. IMT tag has no value and reputation.

Overall, the campus is really okay.

Placements: The number of opportunities is good but not all of the companies that come for placements leave with candidates, as the average crowd is just average and the placement policies are less than conventional to support the students well-being and their careers.

Infrastructure: There are 4 hostel buildings, 2 for boys and 2 for girls, with plenty of room for sports and other recreational activities throughout the campus, with a 24/7 infirmary, library and canteen that is open throughout the night to serve all the needs of a student.

Faculty: The curriculum is great for learning and growing as an individual here. The faculty members vary but there are many experienced and knowledgeable professors in the mix, which would leave no doubt unclear. Most of them have a friendly approach and nature .

My experience at IMT Nagpur has been excellent, and I am optimistic that yours will be too.

Placements: Currently more than 70% of the batch of 2022-24 has been placed. Recruiters like Arcisium, Crisil, Capgemini, PVR, Bluestar etc. visited for placements this year. Talking about internships, finding an internship in finance is a little bit difficult so most of the students get their internships in Marketing roles.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is really good. The hostel provides big sized rooms and maintains hygiene more than any other college. There is a wi-fi facility across the whole campus. Quality of the food is good. There is a library which is open 24*7. Canteen is open from 9AM till 4AM.

Faculty: The curriculum is incredible covering a wide range of subjects from finance and marketing to Human resource and Operations. What sets it apart, is it’s emphasis on experiential learning. From case studies and simulations Group project to Individual assignment on companies and industries, the curriculum covers it all. We are constantly asked to keep thinking.

Other: The campus and the campus life is amazing. For the best placements, you have to work hard in the college. It's not like you will be spoon fed because the competition is very high. You will have to work on your skills.

A short review of IMT, Nagpur.

Placements: At this college, 50-60% of students get placements every year. Many big companies and startups visit our college for the placements. The average package offered at our college was 4-13 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our courses were Deloitte, Accenture, Axis Bank, Kotak, KPMG, etc.

Infrastructure: Facilities at our college were good enough. The college has facilities like Wi-Fi, library, hostel, canteen, labs, etc. on the campus itself. The college canteen offers food at a reasonable price. Hostel facilities were also provided here. Mess food was also good to eat.

Faculty: Yes, the teachers at our college were well-qualified and knowledgeable. Teachers were supportive and helpful to all the students. The course curriculum of the college was designed according to the industry requirements, which makes the students job-ready. Exams were also tough to pass at our college.

The hostel is a three-story building with Wi-fi enabled and a water-cooler. Two people in one room are allotted. With fully furnished rooms and we also have a guest house for parents to stay in whenever they want to visit. Food is very good with the mess committee working day and night to resolve the issues and make the best quality food available for us. Medical facilities are available, and all kinds of indoor and outdoor games are available such as cricket, soccer, basketball, tennis, Table tennis badminton etc.

Faculty: 1. All the teachers are more than qualified. Some are Ph.D. holders with reputed institutes such as IITs. Some teachers are also visiting lecturers at Harward University. All the teachers are very open to helping even outside the classes personally or by conducting doubt classes which help in the case if we didn't understand in the class. 2. Course curriculum is fully relevant as the college is accredited with AICTE, AIU, and NBA. They keep the updated course that complies with the norms of AICTE. Along with the courses many Live-projects are being offered to make the student's industry ready along with Ships. Full campus is student-driven from placement to admissions. Be it event organizing, Corporate interaction, or Alumni interaction. Everything is being taken care of by student committees. Which gives students a very good understanding of the real-world scenario and makes them industry ready.

Other: 1. I chose this course because it offers the best ROI compared to any other college. The brand name of IMT is very good. Also, it focuses on practical knowledge more than theoretical knowledge. 2. As the campus is very far from the main city, I believe better facilities should be made available in terms of the canteen. Though we have a canteen the variety offered is limited. And also we have a co-operative store which offers necessities available but it is very limited and could be expanded or maybe opened a different store with more varieties available. 3. Many events are organized almost every month in the college. But the flagship event comprises M-34 & M-35 where colleges from all around the country take participation. It is a two-day event comprised of many small events on the campus itself all day long for two days. Fests and farewells are conducted every year. We have overall 350 students in one batch. The scholarship is available for every girl @ 5% fee redemption and all CAT scholars with above 90percentile are being offered 40% fees redemption. Also, annually the college conducts an exam where the top 5 students are offered a 40% fee waiver. Extracurricular activities include activities like gym, sports, Live-projects, talent acquisition forums such as dance and singing forums, Drama groups, art, and crafts groups, etc.

IMT, Nagpur, is a really good college at an average percentile.

Placements: IMT is a good college for MBA. It is a better choice if you want to pursue MBA in financial management or marketing management. The roles offered here are almost good. Many top recruiting companies such as Wipro, Deloitte, Bajaj, etc., come here.

Infrastructure: Hostel life here is amazing. The infrastructure is good as per the fee paid, and all the facilities are available in the hostel. They provide hot water during winters. The infrastructure and the lush green campus make our hostel life more fun.

Faculty: The faculty are good, and the curriculum is interesting. The peer competition and staff are really fascinating. Teachers are really helpful to us in our studies, and they provide good education. The course curriculum is very much relevant. Semester examinations are really good.
