Review of Indian Institute of Art and Design.
Placements: A majority of the students in my course got placed. Their salaries are according to the market standards. OYO, Livspace and Incubis are the top recruiters that visited us. Our internship programs are pretty well balanced as well, which helped us understand our potential job roles in this field, i.e., interior designer, textile designer, architect etc.
Infrastructure: The hostels are located in one of the most the fanciest parts of Delhi (East of Kailash). Our hostel is loaded with home-like facilities. Our hostel is well connected to metro, and that is a plus. The rooms are clean, the food in the hostel and canteen is amazing.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified professionals. I personally found our curriculum pretty amazing as it has been designed by Kingston School of Art. The best part is it prepares us for the modern requirements of the industry. The teachers are always ready to help, and you can approach them at any time.
Other: I had a genuine interest in architecture, so I chose this course. We have one of the most talked-about fests amongst Delhi NCR colleges. Our drama club has created a name for itself, and the music club is not far behind.

Review of Indian Institute of Art and Design.
Placements: Mostly, all the students got placed in our course. One f our seniors got a salary package of 12 LPA. A student of communication design can work in the field of print publication, films, new media, graphics and many others. Some of the top recruiting companies for our course are Netflix, IBM, Frozen Iris etc. Almost all the students bagged internships on their own.
Infrastructure: Our hostel is located in East of Kailash, which is one of the expensive areas of Delhi. Hostel rooms are quite spacious and very clean as well. Both the hostel and the campus have high-speed Wi-Fi. Mess and canteen serve amazing food. We have digital resource labs stacked with MAC computers. Our library has books related to all the courses.
Faculty: Our teachers are highly qualified professionals. The best thing about them is that they are always available to guide and help us. The Kingston School of Art has specially designed our course keeping international standards. Students are made ready to make a name for themselves in the industry.
Other: I have chosen this course because I have a genuine interest in the field of communication. Hence in this course, syllabus and IIADs professors helped me to develop my skills. IIAD organises one of the best fests in the whole of Delhi NCR. We have 2-3 metro stations near our campus. Our drama and music clubs are also pretty dedicated in their respective fields.

You will have an amazing learning experience which enriches your design thinking skills.
Placements: Most of the students seek placement support and get placed well with a salary package ranging from 3.5 LPA to 12 LPA. The placement team at IIAD is very supportive and aids all students of all courses to get internships and jobs in renowned firms. But placements also dependant on students calibre.
Infrastructure: Our college has an amazing infrastructure, very functional classrooms, studios and labs. Our college is absolutely well maintained and clean, and 100% hygiene is maintained in canteen and washrooms. There are very friendly vibes inside the classrooms for a perfect teaching and learning environment. IIAD also provides a hostel facility, which is well-equipped and is not far from college.
Faculty: The course curriculum is always updated and up to the mark. I knew that I was 100% job-ready because the course here covers everything ranging from your design thinking skills to developing your interpersonal skills. Faculty members are very helpful and highly knowledgeable. They guide us in every aspect.
Other: I had pursued communication design at IIAD from the batch of 2015-2019. I chose this programme because I had a keen interest in graphic design and animation when I had joined college initially and realised that UX and UI were my niches in the fourth year. Our campus is wonderful to be in. During my time, we used to spend most of our nights in college as it provides a good learning environment and flexibility for students. Campus fests and various other celebratory programs were an addition to the fun experience here. The location of the college is good enough to handle emergencies.

Candidates are selected for IIAD UG and PG programmes on the basis of the following:

  • Performance in the IIAD Design Aptitude Test (iDAT) or iMAT (for management programmes)
  • Performance in the Studio Test/Personal Interview
  • Portfolio review (for some programmes)

The process is similar, but PG applicants (M.Des / MBA) are assessed using iMAT instead of iDAT, and emphasis may be placed more on portfolio, work experience, or interview performance.

No. The IIAD result is final and binding. Re-evaluation is not available as the process includes interviews and subjective assessments.
