Candidates are offered admission in IIT Patna's flagship BTech, BTech Dual degree courses based on JEE Advanced rank. The seats are allotted via JoSAA Counselling. The seats in MTech and MSc programmes is allotted via COAP and IIT JAM Counselling. For admission in PhD, aspirants have to appear for written test conducted by IIT Patna or provide scores in GATE, UGC-NET, CSIR-NET followed by PI round.
IIT Patna conducts written test for admission in M.Tech under sponsored and self-financed category. It also conducts a written test for PhD programme.
