One of the premier institution in India, but infrastructure can be improved.

Placements: Placements are not done in Chennai as only the 1st year of the course is conducted in Chennai. In the 2nd year, we go back to Kolkata centre where the placement takes place. Placements in ISI is well known to be very lucrative as the average package is around Rs. 15 to 16 Lakhs per annum. Very well known and big companies and banks like Walmart, ANZ, Goldman Sachs, Samsung, UBS come to offer campus placement and offer mostly the analytics jobs.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is one area that ISI-Chennai should improve. Currently, it doesn't have any campus and students are kept in the IIT Madras campus. The institution is quite far from IIT, and there are some issues in the campus as we suffer for not being the IIT student. Otherwise, the institution is well-equipped with a good lab, library, video conference room, Wi-Fi, table tennis room and the food provided is also hygienic.

Faculty: The course in ISI is at par with international levels. It is very modern, updated, application-oriented which helps students to be aware of the industry. The teachers are also accommodating and supportive. They teach the course in a very skilled manner and also provides added knowledge that is not in the course. The student to teacher ratio is very good to 10:1 and in some courses even better than that. We also get industrial exposure through internships.

Other: A table tennis tournament and a cultural program are held in the institution. Also, Saraswati Puja is celebrated by the students every year. We also get a stipend from the institution. Though currently the hostel and institution are quite far, the connectivity is good as both the bus and trains can be useful.
