Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com. Hons) - Batch of 2027

It provided good placements with a package of 3 LPA.
Placements: 20-40% of students get placed every year in B.Com (Hons.). The highest package ranges from 8-10 LPA, and the lowest package ranges from 2-3 LPA. The average package offered ranges from 3-4 LPA in this course. Top recruiting companies of B.Com (Hons.) are Wipro, Deloitte, Teach for India, etc. 50% of students got internships from the B.Com (Hons.) in companies like Teach for India, EY, and Oxfam India. The top roles offered are marketing executive, HR intern, and analyst.
Infrastructure: Labs and the library are good. Wi-Fi connection is pathetic. The college is beautiful and well-maintained. I don't know about the hostel as I don't live there. Canteen food is not up to the mark. It has to improve a lot. Next to the canteen, there is a newly built Amul parlour and a coffee and maggi shop. Coffee and Maggi taste really good at a moderate price. A restroom is available for the sick students. Proper medical facilities are also provided for the sick students. For sports and games, there is a big green field. Sports like badminton, etc., are available.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and have great knowledge. They teach very well. They clear all doubts. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are a little bit tough. All students need to do is concentrate and revise topics thoroughly. Students can pass if they prepare according to the syllabus and practice PYQs. The pass percentage is a minimum of 40%.
Other: I chose B.Com (Hons) because I wanted to pursue my career in the corporate field. The best thing about this course is that it makes us more practical and boosts our knowledge with real-life examples. More information regarding business ideas and programs for enhancing skills in the commerce field should be provided. Events held in this college are great. Fests are amazing. The campus has the best crowd that cheers and enjoys every fest. The campus surroundings are very neat and clean. This is a women's college, so girls feel confident in wearing whatever they want. Overall, this college is great for enjoying college life and learning.

I will not say that I am dissatisfied. Our college is really good and I miss it very much.
Placements: Speaking truly, only a few of us were placed. The highest salary was around 12 LPA. The lowest was around 3 LPA. The average salary was 5 LPA. Recruiting companies were Deloitte, EY, and DE Shaw. Internships were not from very good companies, they were okay and some were fake also. Fake like Aspire Consultant and Zielhoch. Roles offered were business development, data analysts, and others.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi was not at all, never connected to any network, no range nothing at all. Even sometimes calls were not reachable. Labs were nice and well-maintained with fully air-conditioned. Classrooms were not so good benches were comfortable. Library was a good place at all.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful except few. They were knowledgeable and qualified with good notes. Course curriculum was relevant. Generally, they were okay but sometimes you will find very difficult such that in B.Com Hons we got corporate finance paper at CA level which was difficult to crack. But thankfully, I was passed at that time.
Other: I chose this course because I was from commerce background. Best thing was all about notes from teachers which were above those books, activities, or engagement. Events were not at all good, there were several fights during that time.

IPCW is not underrated, it is really just average.
Placements: The college placement cell barely offers any sort of career opportunities or internships for students. Till now, no student has secured any internship from the college in my class or course. The placement cell only organises useless workshops and nothing more.
Infrastructure: The college has a huge campus in terms of area but the infrastructure (buildings, classrooms) is not sufficient and does not cater to the mass number of students in a class. There are a lot of vacant spaces but are not put to any efficient use. There is a lot of greenery and a good park-like vibe but do we actually need this much greenery on our campus or do we need actual classrooms big enough to make all students comfortable?
Faculty: Most teachers are helpful and qualified. I doubt if they are placed in the right courses, according to their knowledge or are just placed there to fill the job vacancy like the business teacher teaching law in the next semester with no actual knowledge of law. They are just there to teach for the namesake.
Other: I chose bachelors of commerce (honours) because of my love for commerce. I really wish that the course provided some real insights into the actual world of finance, taxes, entrepreneurship and commerce rather than focusing on developing unnecessary theory subjects just for the namesake then it would have been helpful for us when we seek jobs in the future. It is very important. The management of the college is just really slow and bad. IPCW is always behind other colleges in terms of everything from fests to issuing admit cars, allotting courses, etc. The worst thing about the college is the timing I. e. 8 AM to 5:20 PM despite being a girls' college, it's so insensible that the timing and attendance criteria are really strict too.

This college is for those who want to focus on their studies more.
Placements: I was a student of batch 2020-2023 doing B.Com (hons). More than 70% of students got placements through the college. I also got a placement in Bangalore. Top recruiting companies were Deloitte, EY, etc. These companies also provided internships before placements.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure was good and good hygiene was maintained which was good for girls. Wi-Fi, labs, and classrooms were all good but my favourite was library which was so spacious that you could sit and study with full concentration. Food at the mess was okay. Medical facilities were also available.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Even though they were so friendly. Course was relevant for industry-ready. Exams were not so difficult. They maintained the criteria of easy to hard questions. Pass percentage was 40% which you could easily achieve.

B.A. (Hons.) in Psychology - Batch of 2026

Overall, good review of college with some cons.
Placements: Particularly in psychology courses, students often opt for masters or other courses for better job opportunities so IPCW directly doesn't provide any job opportunities but in general, we're often notified of various internship options which we can opt regardless of our course subject.
Infrastructure: Overall the infrastructure is appropriate but the Wi-Fi connection doesn't work throughout the campus, only restricted to 1-2 buildings. The roof and the floor of some rooms need to be repaired especially the gymnasium/sports area. The library is very good with a variety of books and other facilities like newspapers and magazine reading. The quality of food in the canteen is not very good, not recommended to opt for in the 1st place, otherwise, the Nescafe and Amul are good spots to eat on the campus. Auditorium is good.
Faculty: Most of the professors are knowledgeable and teach well in my course except some who do not care at all. Overall on other courses as well, there are only some professors who do not teach very well, otherwise rest are well-educated and resourceful. The course and exams follow the DU pattern and it's manageable and appropriate for this college.
Other: Societies are active, campus is overall good and helpful, crowd is friendly, fashionable and career oriented, ragging is not experienced as of now. Fests and competitions could be improved with better outreach.

B.A. (Hons.) in Political Science - Batch of 2025

2Placements3Infrastructure3Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
I'm dissatisfied with overall everything. Campus is pretty.
Placements: I'm in political science hons course and there are very few opportunities for placements in the specific field most of the offers are for B.Tech, B.Com, data analysis, and more. The highest CTC is 24 LPA and the lowest CTC is 2 LPA-3 LPA. No one got placed from my department as far as I know because there are very less opportunities for placements, particularly in political science. Top companies are Deloitte and KPMG but the CTC they are offering is very low.
Infrastructure: I would say library is very good and one could find most of the books even for competitive exams like CAT, CA, etc. There are many books for Hindi medium students as well. Library is very well-maintained. Classrooms and labs are average, not very bad, and not very good but manageable. There are projectors in classrooms but most of them don't work. Wi-Fi is available but again it doesn't work unless you're sitting very close to the outer. In hostel, there is no proper network and the food in mess is below average.
Faculty: Most teachers are knowledgeable and helpful. Teaching quality is also okayish but I feel some teachers are very much knowledgeable but they don't know how to convey those thoughts to their students. Syllabus is relevant but does not make one industry-ready especially not in field like political science, history, geography, etc. Semester exams are moderate to high-level difficult depending upon different subjects. Pass percentage is high.
