Earlier, according to BHU NIRF report 2023, the median package offered during BHU UG 5-year and PG 3-year placements 2022 stood at INR 15 LPA and INR 13.50 LPA, respectively. Earlier, the institute has released the NIRF report 2022. According to the NIRF report 2022, 10 MBBS students were placed during 2020 placements, whereas 128 students of PG courses were placed during 2021 placements. For 2022, cut off was 30353 for General category candidates in All India quota for Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU. NEET cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.
For last year, the closing rank for Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) was 30353 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing year on year, it is advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission in Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU.
The NEET exam is considered mandatory for admission to IMS BHU for the MBBS course. The admission process is completely merit-based. Institute of Medical Sciences BHU accepts admission based on national entrance exams. The institute accepts national entrance exams such as NEET, CUET, and others. IMS BHU admission requires a minimum aggregate of 50% in Class 12 (PCB). Furthermore, they must qualify NEET UG for their category that is, OBC/ General/ EWS.
NTA released the re-revised scorecard on July 26, 2024. In this scorecard, the score has been revised as per the Supreme Court verdict of removing the bonus marks awarded earlier for the controversial Physics question, and deducting one mark from those who marked incorrect answer options. The city and centre-wise result data such as number of candidates appeared and scores obtained, by masking candidates' personal data was released on July 21, as per the Supreme Court order given on the hearing dated July 18, 2024. The NEET 2024 result for the re-exam, which was conducted on June 23, was declared on July 1, day day after the slated date. The final answer keys for the NEET 2024 re-exam was released by June 30, ahead of the result declaration. Earlier, the result of NEET 2024 was declared by NTA on June 4, 2024, 10 days ahead of the original schedule, which was June 14, 2024. NTA released the final NEET answer keys on June 4, prior to the release of the NEET result 2024. The NEET result was declared in an online mode. Candidates have to log in with their registration credentials or application number and date of birth, and download their scorecard in PDF format. NTA also released the merit list containing the name, Roll Number, All India Rank and Percentile of the candidates. Along with the NEET 2024 scorecard, NTA also released the NEET 2024 cutoff marks or the qualifying marks/scores.
Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For general category under All India, opening rank was 866 and closing rank was 2735. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. Admission to Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam NEET. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying while checking for cut offs.

To be eligible for BSc course at IMS BHU, Candidates must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) to be eligible for admission Further, they must also appear for NEET UG, the accepted entrance exam for BSc (Nursing) admission ar IMS BHU. The institute has released the NIRF report 2022. According to the NIRF report 2022, 10 MBBS students were placed during 2020 placements.
Whereas 128 students of PG courses were placed during 2021 placements. Further, the median package offered to MBBS students during 2020 placements was INR 14 LPA.
