It is one of the best colleges in Assam.
Placements: Almost 60% of the students got an internship in different companies. Campus recruitment is done in the final year as different companies visit our campus to recruit students. Many students got their jobs with a handsome salary with good placements. I will refer to the new generation to join this college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good in all aspects. The hostel has enough rooms for the students to live in and also a good environment for studies. The college provides good hostels facility for both girls and boys compared to other colleges in this area. All students refer to this hostel for living.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are quite helpful, highly qualified and well experienced. They teach students in a well understandable way. They also help them in any situation in order to get good results from their students in the exams.
Other: I have chosen this course because I had the interest to study in that particular course. I had the eagerness to learn about the course.

I like this college because it provides best education in the whole city. My college is the best.
Placements: Our college doesn't have the placement feature. We have to find a job by ourselves by going on interviews. In our city, there's no multinational company that hires buy Campus placement. Most people just move to some different cities with the availability of more jobs. (EX: Bangalore, Guwahati). .
Infrastructure: 1. We do have Wi-Fi and labs and high tech classrooms and mess and canteen.
2. The facilities of the hostel is more than normally expected by the students. The food is not that good. Canteen is pretty good. There's a medical facility available in our college campus. There's a good college festival "ANIRVANA" which provides many games and cultural programme and DJ night also. We got a pretty big Campus.
Faculty: The Teachers are very smart. They are very qualified and knowledgeable. I would give the teaching quality 9/10. The course is the same as Delhi University but our college organizes our own exams and everything related to it. It does make students ready for their normal life.
Other: I choose this course because I like history and history is available in B.A. The best thing about this course is that it is suitable for Arts students. There should a better internet facility and the toilets should be better.

I am absolutely satisfied with the faculty members.
Placements: There were no placements in our college till now. They don't provide any training, and our college doesn't even have a placement cell yet. They don't offer any professional courses. A training and placement cell needs to be built, and members from each department need to be recruited.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is moderate. Our college mostly consists of old buildings because it was established in the early '90s. However, they were constructing new buildings. Labs were not good, and resources were minimal. The college doesn't provide Wi-Fi facility on the campus except for the biotechnology lab. Our college has one auditorium which was is used as a boys' common room where there are no chairs to sit.
Faculty: Teachers were quite helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good too since classes are conducted regularly. The teaching methods are sometimes practical along with e-classes. They don't provide any industry exposure, but field trips were organised for every batch.
Other: Our college organises events like college week and freshers' party.

The college is striving for excellence in the learning field with an emphasis on development.
Placements: There are no placements or job opportunities provided in our college. Internships are also not provided in JB college. It is a government college. Tata Consultancy Services recruits students from our college. Students are allowed to complete the courses on a semester basis and go for MA further which is also provided in many departments. The college stands 64th in NIRF ranking of top 100 colleges.
Infrastructure: There are hostels both for girls and boys. There are also a lot of PGs and private hostels near the college. Food provided in the canteen is average. Quality of classrooms is quite good, and they are well-maintained. Labs are quite good with the necessary facilities, and the library is quite good. The library is in a two-storeyed building, and Wi-Fi facility is also available.
Faculty: The college has both teaching and student staff with defined badges. The teachers are interactive and have a good and positive attitude towards students. Teachers are well-versed and well-educated in every sector. So, various field surveys and interactive sessions are held by the teachers.

As my experience at JB College for past 2 years, I felt never to hesitate to question any teacher.
Placements: JB College was the first non-governmental college. As my experience in so far JB College, feeling and tilling with the seniors are the best. Many problems and programs have taken place, so far basically on fire and safety, many meetings, and debates. Many internship related programs have occurred after B.A. Degree. Although, the campus is well-situated and recently, it have become autonomous.
Infrastructure: The college provides the best complete infrastructure with the best teaching faculty. The classrooms are well-furnished with a room with presentation room, meeting halls, computer rooms, interaction hall, community hall, and sports room. There is also an additional administration block where enrollment of new candidates take place. Although, the campus of JB College is surrounded by girls and boys common room, and the college library. The campus also provided with well-safety parking place and hygienic canteen. Overall, most of the students join yearly, around the district of Assam on every basis.
Faculty: The college faculty includes both teaching and students staff with defined badges. The teachers are interactive and have a good positive attitude towards students. The teachings include overall assessment in project or assignment, debates, computer perspective presentation, and other subfields. The teachers also take us to various fields survey and interactive session with combination class. Teachers feel free to answer and never hesitate to un-answer our questions. As a history student, as far as I have seen the teachers are well-versed and well-educated in fields of every sector, and they are well-qualified.
Other: The campus doesn't provide free Wi-Fi facility, but they provide scholarship and various extracurricular activities like meetings, programs related to sports and other campus functions.

JB college - the most preferable college in the northeastern region.
Placements: I didn't get any placement, but the college is very good at studies, and also the professors are very supportive of the students, which is great. I had a great experience in the college. In the last few years, the students are getting placements in companies like TCS which is very great.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is very good. The classrooms and library are very good. The UGC has approved them with an 'A' category along with NAAC accreditation, thus contributing largely in the education field. But the hostel conditions were very poor during my tenure. The food at the canteen was also not good.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful to the students and they are well-qualified, but their teaching quality is not good enough because they use the local language while teaching. They do not use advanced technology while teaching. Their teaching methods are also very old which affect the studies of the students.

Jagannath Barooah College.
Placements: After completing B.A., You don't get any placements. You can go to M.A further which is present in this college. The level of teaching in this college is better than any other colleges in Jorhat. That is the reason why this college stands at 64th NIRF ranking among top 100.
Infrastructure: The college is old, yet new buildings are being constructed by time. There are science labs, zoology lab, botany lab, chemistry lab, physics lab, computer lab etc. There is a huge library with more than over 10000 books varieties. For sports, there is an indoor stadium inside the campus. For gathering and organising any activities, there is a huge auditorium with seating capacity of almost 3000 students. A canteen serves the best food. I have faced no infrastructure related issues.
Faculty: The teachers are widely qualified, helpful, friendly, consultant, knowledgeable etc. The teachers use mics for the better understanding of lectures. The faculty-student ratio is 1:8. A wide range of extra knowledge is given through the modern techniques using powerpoint presentation etc. B.A is useful in our life since you can apply bank jobs, civil jobs, social works etc. Not only B.A. but also B.Sc. B.Com., H.S Arts, science, commerce and BCA courses are also offered here.
Other: The college week is organised each session of a year. In the middays, many competitions are organized. The scholarships are also given to the good students under terms and conditions. The college authority organises extracurricular activities like cultural activities, ability enhancement programs, sports competitions. Also, distance learning programs are available here.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of the average quality faculty and placements in 2013.
Placements: There were no placements from our batch & our senior batch. 0 % of students were placed. No placements so no question of salary. No company visited the campus. No students got internship from the college. No placements cell in our campus. It was not at all useful.
Infrastructure: There were no smart classes available in our college. Average classrooms, average library, poor medical facilities, and very less importance towards sports & games. The quality of food in the canteen was average. Average quality hostel rooms for our college students.
Faculty: Teachers were qualified but with average knowledge and they were not that helpful. Traditional teaching method were used. Student-faculty ratio was very bad. The college did not provide industry exposure at all. The course curriculum was not at all useful.
