JDT Islam College of Arts and Science is one of the popular colleges in Calicut.

Placements: Many students participate in the placement program conducted by JDT. Around 50 percent of students get placed. Companies like Thai Group and Zomato are the main recruiting companies. Mostly, commerce students get placed in different accounting jobs.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of JDT is below average because there is a lack of a proper college atmosphere. I am dissatisfied with their infrastructure. There is not enough space for conducting any programs. If any program is conducted, it becomes very crowded and creates problems.

Faculty: Teachers are mostly highly qualified and experienced. The quality of teaching is excellent. This course curriculum is not at all relevant because it includes only academic-level knowledge and nothing about the industry or the real world. The semesters are not at all difficult. They are quite simple. The passing percentage may be around 60.

Other: I chose this course because I like to study commerce, and my ambition is to build a successful career in finance. The best thing about the course is the knowledge about business, human resources, marketing, etc. I think giving more practical knowledge and skill development programs to students is the one thing I wish to improve. JDT is known for its programs. The programs and events conducted there are excellent.

Not at all happy with the college atmosphere.

Placements: There is only a bare number of students, that has actually completed the course. Also we should find the internship companies on our own rather the college finding for us. Some of us have been blessed with finding a good entity for the interns. It's all related to the smartness of the student.

Infrastructure: The hostel facilities are average. Nothing special about the hostel nor the classrooms. Classrooms are so old, that it leaks during rainy season. Moreover there is no proper benches, most of the classroom equipments are damaged too old. Doors to the classrooms are torn down.

Faculty: The teachers are thoughtful on the studies. The teachers know what they are doing. Some faculty members do the extra for the students while the other works for the salary. Sem exams were average, but the corrections take too long. Also the curriculum is average.

Other: There's no or less events that's conducted.
