Q&A Icon
Commonly asked questions
On Admissions
Q:   Can I join JIMS Engineering Management Technical Campus directly?
A:

Entrance tests like IPU CET or JEE Main are generally required to be cleared by most UG and PG courses of JIMS Greater Noida. But in a few instances, direct admission based on management quota or merit list is possible. The candidates are requested to inquire from the admission office if there is any course that does not require an entrance test. Academic performance and eligibility criteria are of primary importance for some programs.

Q:   Are admissions at JIMS Engineering Management Technical Campus entrance-based or merit-based?
A:

JIMS Engineering Management Technical Campus (JEMTEC) admissions are entrance-based and merit-based, course-wise. For BTech, the applicants need to qualify in JEE Main or IPU CET, whereas BBA, BCA, and BCom admissions are through IPU CET. The process of selection is based on satisfying eligibility criteria, entrance test marks, and counselling. Merit-based admissions can be there in certain cases, but entrance examination qualification is needed for most courses.

Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?
A:

After JEE session 2 is completed, only those candidates who are aiming for IITs need to start preparing for JEE Advanced after clearing JEE Main. Those who are above the 98th percentile should start preparing for JEE Advanced as soon as possible. Those below this, between the 95th and 98th percentile, should focus on attempting more mock tests and previous year question papers so that they have a better chance of clearing JEE Advanced

My experience as a CSE Student at JIMS Engineering Management Technical Campus, Greater Noida.
Placements: I am a B.Tech CSE student at JIMS EMTC, Greater Noida, graduating in 2027, and the placement performance of the 2024 batch has been very motivating. Last year, around 90-93% of CSE students were placed, with packages ranging from 3-3.5 LPA to the highest of 28 LPA, and an average of 6.5-7 LPA. Top recruiters included TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant, Capgemini, IBM, HCL, Amazon, and several product-based startups. About 80-85% students also secured internships in leading tech firms. The strong training, workshops, and mock interviews provided by the college clearly contribute to these impressive results.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are well furnished, with ACs and proper benches with blackboards and whiteboards, both for presentation and writing. The Labs are also well-equipped with properly functioning PCs and decent specifications of the hardware and software of the devices. Libraries are also well structured with almost every academic book available, with a different space for Online learning through PCs, and students can bring their own Laptops if they want to study. Hostels are also in good structure and well furnished, providing a proper study table and bed, an almirah, etc. As per the requirements of a student. Mess facility is also good.
Faculty: Faculty members are professionals. We have Ph.D. qualified teachers with proper knowledge regarding the subject, and teaching quality is good, as questions are encouraged to be asked by students. The course curriculum is also up to the recent updates in the technical field of the world, interacting with AI and different modern aspects of technology. Semester exams are quite difficult, where not only bookish but also practical knowledge is required. To pass semester exams, you need to score above 40 out of 100 in all subjects of a semester; otherwise, a backlog is given for that failed subject. 6 backlogs in a year result in repetition of a college year.
Other: I chose CSE because I genuinely enjoy coding and creating things through technology and hitting my potential to the Next level by learning more and more in this field. The best parts of my course are the helpful faculty and practical exposure. I would recommend that this course be improved by more hands-on workshops and real-world reasoning. The campus crowd is great, and the college organizes university-level and inter-college fests where top artists perform, making the events really enjoyable. Connectivity is good, and there are plenty of clubs, sports activities, and scholarships. Overall, the environment is supportive and motivating.

JIMS college review by a 3rd-year CSE student.
Placements: About 70 percent of the students get placed, with an average of 6 LPA, which is pretty good. I think most recruiting companies, like TCS, are also a good opportunity for the students. Internships, although they aren't high, some internships are given. Students have to focus on their studies.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is fully available with good internet, which is really helpful for CSE students. There are plenty of labs, some of which are really well-equipped with good PCs. The classrooms have AC, which is really helpful in the summertime. The mess or canteen also has very good, tasty food.
Faculty: Faculty, honestly, very good, many faculty have 10+ years of experience in teaching and are really helpful in my studies. They often help in solving problems or are generally very friendly in class. They are focused on making us understand every topic.
Other: I chose this course because I am interested in the CSE branch. This is a well-known university, so it helps.

Overall, it is a good place for stability, discipline, and focusing on your career.
Placements: Placements are growing, and if you are skilled, you can land a good job here. Companies visit regularly, offering decent packages and salaries. Around 60-70% of students get placed. Companies like TCS, Infosys, HCL, IBM, and Mahindra come here regularly.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for the CSE department is solid. Classrooms are clean, well-ventilated, and most have projectors. Mess food is average. Washrooms are nearby, clean, and maintain proper hygiene. Medical support is also available. Overall, the infrastructure is nice.
Faculty: Teachers in the CSE department are very supportive and helpful. The course and curriculum are well-structured. Semester exams are fair. The course covers all core skills needed for the industry, especially when combined with practical skills taught in labs.
Other: The campus environment is very positive and disciplined. The fests and events are enjoyable and fun. Overall experience is very good. The course helps students stay motivated and career-oriented.

Overall, JIMS Greater Noida is a good career option for students.
Placements: Placements at this college are average. The highest package is 20 LPA. Mostly, students are placed with a package that ranges from 9-10 LPA. So it is an overall good choice for management as well as for B.Tech students. Students can go for it. Students have to work on their skills to get better placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our campus is very good. We have air-conditioning classrooms, labs, sports corners, and seminar halls. If we talk about hostels, then like every hostel, JIMS also has decent hostel rooms and good facilities. It has a decent food quality.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and very good at their work. They are well-experienced. They have good knowledge about their subjects and mainly they support students and understand their feelings too. Semester exams are a little bit difficult but overall, they are good. We are the only ones who are responsible for our results.
Other: It possesses a great college life. It arranges many festivals in which many singers perform. It is a lot of fun and amazing. It also organises many sports events and inter-college competitions.

College is overall good and placement is average.
Placements: Approximately 40% of students got placed on our college campus. 25 LPA is the highest, the lowest is 3 LPA, and the average placement is 6 LPA -7 LPA. Wipro, TCS, HCL, and Infosys companies are our recruiting companies. 35% of students got internships from our college in Infosys and Wipro.
Infrastructure: In our college facilities are good but the infrastructure is average below. Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and library all is very good. The hostel is average and the quality of food available in mess and canteen is average and medical facilities is average below but sports and games both are good.
Faculty: In our college, teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Overall the teaching quality is good. This course curriculum is relevant. Different types of subjects, practical viva, assignment, internal, and external exam. 70% is the pass percentage.
Other: I would like to choose this course because B.Tech is a very good graduation course and tech companies require B.Tech graduates. My college management arranges the event, fest, and scholarship activities.

Overall, the college is good but needs improvement on placements and internships.
Placements: The highest package offered to students is 10 LPA - 20 LPA, which is average. There is no internship facility at college that is also provided to students. Also, placements are not really satisfying according to me. For this they need improvement.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is nice and also has a good parking facility. Wi-Fi and AC facilities are also very nice. There is AC installed in every room which is working properly. Wi-Fi facility is also good on the whole campus and labs are also good, especially computer labs.
Faculty: Teachers of the engineering department are really very nice, helpful, understanding, and have friendly nature. Teachers here teach very well, and clear your doubts. They provide notes so that we can prepare well for exams, and encourage you to participate in events also.
Other: I chose B.Tech as I have a huge interest in the coding world and I want to make my future in that field. According to me, they have good faculty members, and nice infrastructure. Many events and extracurricular activities also happen here, both related to studies and games.
