Honest review of Joshi Bedekar College.

Placements: Since students have completed their 5th semester, the college has started offering companies to take their interviews. Companies like HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, TJSB, etc. come and take the interviews. If the students are eligible and have good skills, they get placed.

Infrastructure: The college Wi-Fi is everywhere; sometimes it connects, sometimes it doesn't. In the computer lab, some computers don't work; they have some other problems. The library is also average; it only consists of text books; it should have books that interest the students, whether they are fictional or not, in order to improve their reading skills. The people in the canteen are very rude; this is one of the things the college needs to improve in them and the food in the canteen is not up to par.

Faculty: The faculty, that is the teachers are very helpful soft-spoken and have full knowledge and experience of what they are teaching. The course curriculum are sometimes not so relevant because some concepts are only theoretical and do not have any practical implication. Exams in this college are conducted in very serious manner; there is separate examination committee, paper-setting committee, etc. So the exams are conducted in a fair manner.

Other: The college crowd is average and not so exciting; the college conducts events and festivals, which is boring; students don't enjoy that at all, whereas the campus is very beautiful, close to nature and full of greenery.

Our college provides helpful teachers.

Placements: The placement cell of our college is active in February. It invites reputed organisations to recruit the best students. Students are recruited based on their domains. The salary package offered is 2.1 LPA.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good. Library is available for insiders and outsiders for the betterment of the students. There is a research room with research books where students and teachers can do their research.

Faculty: Faculty members in our college are very helpful, well qualified and knowledgeable in their specialised subjects. They are Ph.D. holders. Exams are not hard because of teaching.

Practical professionals, coaches and guide and also counselling is an advantage in this college.

Placements: Major finance companies visit here for placements. Co-operative banks and major job fair companies from marketing and sales are helpful for all students who can inter, and they can also provide a stable job role on a permanent basis. Roles offered mostly are on officer level roles. Hence students get assured job opportunity.

Infrastructure: Hostel facility is not provided here. However, our college has one of the largest campuses for other curricular activities. Sports has a very different scope here as teachers and coaches are available as approached. The library has a variety of books for every faculty member, and it also had a quite good computer lab.

Faculty: Teachers were practical professionals who used their personal knowledge while guiding and teaching regarding the courses. Most of the professionals were pursuing a PhD programme. Hence there were practical sessions which were mostly relatable to studies.

Placements: The quality of placement our college provide is below average. Many companies visit our college for the placements. All students get placed through the placement cell in various companies like Coppergate, Indian Express Limited, Thane Janata Sahakari Bank, etc. The highest salary package offered ranges from 3-4 LPA.

Infrastructure: Our college is situated near Thane station. So it takes around 5-7 minutes to travel from station to college. The infrastructure of our college is superb. Our college provides facilities like canteen, NSS, NCC, 2 computer labs, well-ventilated classrooms, Xerox shop, student council, etc. Our college needs to provide clean and good sanitation facilities.

Faculty: Teachers ion our college are experienced, highly qualified and friendly. They provide quality knowledge for students. The teaching method of every teacher varies from each other. They help students in solving doubts even after the lectures. Our course is designed by the university, and it has a semester pattern. Every year our college conducts 2 semesters, and BBI is a core finance course.

An excellent place to learn and develop your potential.

Placements: Placements provided were good and it gives great opportunities to apply for the best jobs. The highest package offered in our course was around 3-4 Lacs per annum and the lowest was between 1.5 Lacs to 2 Lacs per annum. Almost 70% of students were placed in our course.

Infrastructure: Our college has amazing infrastructure and all the necessary facilities like spacious classrooms, well-equipped computer labs, library with over 5000 books, reading hall, 2 air-conditioned auditoriums, Wi-Fi facility, hygienic canteen, Gymkhana, etc. Sanitation facility is average.

Faculty: The teachers of our college are highly qualified, helpful and approachable. I would say they invite questions and do a friendly interaction with the students rather than only delivering lessons. Our course BBI is specialised in the Banking and Insurance sector which covers more of banking and less of the insurance sector.

Other: Our college organises various extra curricular activities like Intercollegiate sports festival, Youth festival, Chrysalis, Gandharva, Navrang, etc.

It is one of the best colleges in Thane.

Placements: About 80% of the students from our course got placed. Placements are average here. Our college has a placement cell, and it gives counselling to students regarding career. Top recruiting companies which visited our college for placements were Thane Janata Sahakari Bank, TCS, Coppergate, etc. Our college conducts various seminars for students to get selected in placements.

Infrastructure: Our college has all the necessary facilities, and it is well-equipped. Our college provides Wi-Fi facility and a spacious library with all types of books and also daily newspapers. It also has a hygienic canteen, gymkhana, sports academy, etc. The campus is beautiful and huge, and the classrooms are well-equipped with CCTV cameras, green board, proper benches, electricity facility, etc.

Faculty: Faculty members of our college are really helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. They provide an atmosphere of learning and encourage students to participate in various activities. I am satisfied because of infrastructure and campus.

Placements: Around 80% of the students got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered was between 3 to 4 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was around 1 LPA to 2 LPA. Our college should motivate students to develop soft skills in terms of career planning.

Infrastructure: Our college is situated near Thane station, and it is around 5-7 minutes away from the station. Our college has excellent infrastructure. It also provides other facilities for students such as girls common room, gymkhana, spacious reading hall, well-equipped library, canteen, Wi-Fi facility, air-conditioned auditoriums, well- ventilated and spacious classrooms, huge campus, etc.

Other: I have chosen this course because I was inclined towards finance. As this course is specialised in banking and insurance sector, it has more syllabus or subjects related to the banking sector only and less related to the insurance sector. I wish this course should have more syllabus related to insurance sector also.

I am fully satisfied with our college because the environment is very friendly.

Placements: About 90% of the students got placed from our college. In our batch, the lowest salary offered was Rs. 15,000 per month, while the highest salary offered was Rs. 29,000 per month. During our placements, many banks like Kotak Mahindra Bank, ICICI Bank, etc., and other companies visited our college for placements.

Infrastructure: Facilities provided to us were labs, classroom, library, cafeteria, etc. All the facilities were excellent, and the food provided in the canteen is hygienic and healthy for all students. Our college has gymkhana and a huge group to play various games like basketball, etc. Basic medical facilities are also available in our college.

Faculty: All the professors here are highly qualified, and most of them are PhD holders. Their teaching quality was excellent, and their teaching methods are very good. In every batch, there will be only 60 students to have good communication between teachers and students. Extracurricular activities conducted here are very helpful for students while attending interviews in any private sector and public sector company.

Other: I chose this college because of the infrastructure, facilities and quality of teaching. All professors are very friendly in nature.
